@Azel, I have several issues with this plan:
- Most of the opposition is CR 8 or 9. This is massive overkill.
- The Dragons you're assigning will get bored to tears and might act out. They're not machines, and they're really not suited for this. I'm fine with it in the short term, but I'd prefer to avoid assigning them as guards.

This is just the initial force. The holding force should be something much different.

Holy shit, dude. That's an invasion force. I have a feeling House Adjar might be somewhat startled by the forces we are committing to this endeavour.

As I've said in the vote. I'm expecting the gribblies we see to be the security system of something powerful and unreasoanble. Some higher shadow gribblie or maybe some kind of Lich. Hence me setting up a force that can deal with that.

If not, they can have some fun exterminating the wildlife.

It's also worth noting that this deal will generate rumours in the Opaline Vault, so I want to send a strong statement about why you don't meddle in the affairs of Dragons or emperors.

That's just the attack force. Once the main threat is dealt with and / or the wildlife sufficiently culled, we assign a much smaller force of long-term guards. Likely Watchmoles, undead and a few custom things.

Any thoughts on using this as an opportunity to build a hardened extraplanar outpost?

Maybe. Depending on how far out in the boonies it is, it might even warrant a Terminus to ease travel.

But I'd wait with that until our general infrastructure and military plans for the post-Westeros order are finalised.

Also, I want some razor wire first. Nothing says "Welcome" like wrapping your outpost in IS razor wire to ward off Earth Gliders.

well it is nice to see Ysandrix getting older i hope that she can do some more things now.
as a side question is there anything we are going to use that Aszite steel for?

We might find something to use the stuff for, but we're mostly interested in this as a money-making operation, one which also strengthens our ties with House Adjar while growing our extrasolar business portfolio.

She is a blue wyrmling, she can already eat a knight in full armor and his horse for breakfast not even slowing down.
That's not actually true?
Compared to a decent level 4 fighter with Elite-Array she has bad odds in a fair fight.
Lower armor than human in Fullplate, lower strenght and damage than a knight with proper weapon. Both she and the hypothetical knight would have roughly even odds of hitting with their main attack (for Ysandrix AB +8 vs Armor 18 or 19, for the Knight AB +6 or +7 against Armor 16).
More HD, thus bigger HP-pool, but not so much to be save from a knight with a bit of luck .

Her biggest advantage would be flight and her breathweapon, but if the Knight has a good bow I would honestly set my money on him.

Now, Very Young Ysandrix, with a size-category more, and a neat bonus to many combat-relevant numbers, she could beat any regular knight.

For Ysandrix's Age Category Advancement Day, we can put together a nice little gift package from the Armory.

Amulet of Protection from Evil
Anklets of Translocation
Handy Haversack
Healing Belt
Ribbon of Disguise, Greater
Ring of Animalistic Power (+1 STR, +1 DEX, +1 CON)
Ring of Sustenance

And maybe a small pile of gold for sleeping on?

Since it has a higher base hardness than steel while having lower hitpoints, it would be useful for some special applications like joints, ball bearings, hinges or similar parts that are subject to low stresses but have a high wear due to movement. However, the material is a bit expensive for that. @DragonParadox may correct me here, but the stuff should be valued at about 20 IM per pound when I compare the prices for armor enhancements to other metals.

Though it might be interesting for Metal-Clad undead or Warforged. Might make for an interesting Dread Mummy.

  • [X] Accept the deal under the condition that you get all bodies to make more servitors.
-[X] "You had me at 'lucrative'."
-[X] Forces assigned to the attack (permanent guard force will be created during next forge order, when we know what to expect for long-term threats.)
    --[X] PCs: Yrael, Siduri
--[X] Dragons: 1x Very Old Myrkdrei, 1x Adult Mind Dragon
--[X] Fey: 13x Greater Glitterhaunt Guard (Paladin of Freedom 5), 38x Lesser Glitterhaunt Guard (Warrior 5)
--[X] Constructs: 30x Elemental Wyrmling, 10x Glass Golem, 10x Mushroom Golem, 5x Herald (once they are freed from Casterly Rock deployment)
    --[X] Vigilant: 30x Vigilant Hunters, 20x Watchmoles
--[X] Fleshforged: 20x Aquatic Cleric Creature Jesulan
--[X] Undead: 5x Black Champions with Greater Blood Clot Molds, 5x Lindowrms with Greater Blood Clot Molds (once they are freed from Casterly Rock deployment), 20x Black Brutes with Blood Clot Molds, 50x unattached Necrotic Molds for capturing specimens (riding undead for their own safety as useful), 10x Black Wardens, 10x Black Wardens, 100x Black Knights with Mobility Upgrade, 100x Spitters, 300x Spitter Swarms
--[X] Goal of the deployment is to secure the area, destroy all nests of hostile creatures and to capture as many specimens, preferably alive, as possible, both for interrogation and study in Gogossos.
--[X] Operate under the assumption that the creatures seen so far are servitors of something significantly more powerful. Take a Interplanar Whispering Brazier along for emergency calls.

Not 100% sure I'll be able to do a third update though, feeling a little under the weather and the next update is going to need me to roll the progress on the interplanar war and that is always tricky to cover.

you know i'd actually be very interested to see Ysandrix going into a non fullcasting class seeing as every other dragon we have is doing it would be fun to make her more unique among the others

She could just aim her lightning breath at the very mundane, very breakable bow and then the might is dead and waiting to be cooked in his armor
Not at all.
A Longbow is made of wood, hardness 5, has 5 HP.
Electricity damage is halved against objects.
So, 2d8/2 -5 damage per breath. Not much, not enough for a oneshot even at the best result.

That under the assumption that the Knight doesn't make a saving throw to half it again.

Best bet would probably be to spook the horse and get it to throw the knight or at least distract him. Hard to train a horse to stay calm after getting struck by lightning, even a wimpy little bolt.

Damage doubles to 4d8 at Very Young, though, and that's much more respectable.

Making difficult Ride checks is the one thing Knights are really good at though. And producting well-trained horses who will keep doing what you say even while they're being stabbed, shot or drowned is also something Westeros is very good at.

Look, the unfortunate truth is that baby Dragons were made to be low-level adventurer fodder. Unless they're Reds or have excellent stealth (and some breeds do, but that usually comes at the expense of their attack potential) then they're fucked against a semi competent level 4 Fighter.
