  • [X] Plan: Undead horde
-[x] Cast Call of Vanhel on our undead forces before the battle and cast Birona's timewarp on our dragons and Dragon knights.
    -[x]Demand their surrender.
-[x]Have our undead forces and dark beasts charge. Have our dragons and flying beasts provide air support.
-[x] Have us cast Hands of Karkoa on the grail mages and then curse of ages on the rest of their army.
-[x] After having cast those spells have us personally try to find what all the grail mages and grail knights are trying to protect in the capital.
-[x] Have our dragon knights take 30 great storm dragons, 30 doom fire dragons, 500 fire dragons, and 500 storm dragons to deal with all the grail knights and any grail mage stragglers.
-[x] After the battle is over provide healing to those who surrendered.
-[x] Have Bahumut follow basically the same plan as ours where he is able to.

Wrath of Bahamut - Part 1
here is the first part of the wrath of bahamut! Here we see Bahamut deal with his current situation, and of course meet our lovable zealous Jeanne! Those two are a...freinds...to a extent.

The Day Bahamut had taken the vow to his new lord...was both a sad, bitter, and ashen day. As well as a hint of Hope and redemption. He had been...bitter...of the fighting of late, as well as the constant strikes against the rebelling peasants, and so much disappointment of his successors. Though at the time he did wonder why his new lord did not strike him down for slaying the fire-dragon all those years ago when he had still been mortal...apparently his lord in response had admitted that it had been a honorable challenge, and that he did honor his child by using all the parts (or as much as could be possible). He did admit that self defense of his territory had been a part of it.

His...newer...nature instead of just being a mortal granted power by HER had led him to accept as such, battles of supremacy were not uncommon among the dragons of the world, though rarely did it lead to death unless it was theft of home, treasure, or food. Sometimes all above, though with his silent talks of mind and soul with his new lord had led to many questions answered, as well as many more on his road...he also felt...incomplete...in many aspects. Though his new armor and abilities would have to be trained, and his lord had given him leave to...test...them on a most unfortunately worthy foe.

Orks, beastial cunning and cruel beings, he would...enjoy...ridding the filth from bretonnia, the only thing that he would possibly enjoy more would be the servants of the wicked powers of the north, or perhaps from the rumors he had heard and small battles the strange rat-beastmen...he knew of the black chasm that was around, and his lord had promised him he would be there to aid in its cleansing. Still, as bahamaut led the host of the dead (chilling in some aspects, yet he could see the need for such beings, as they didn't require as many supplies as mortal armies would...though the dragons did need a great deal of food, they usually only feasted as much as needed for a day and yet could stand to not be fed for months if not years as they digested the flesh of their prey.)

Even so, he was glad to have the Emperor Dragons with him rather then against him, the Storm ones aided in many aspects, through their own actions he confirmed a long held private theory on why they seemed so random and violent. They were unconsciously dreaming and/or reading the future with their actions, and it was a uncontrolled gift that only recently has been driven to focus with His lords blessing. Every action they took was apparently for the better, as he noted many times they would prevent their doom/fire kin from randomly burning important places, or yet burning out places that held bandits or otherwise fouler creatures that by his estimates may be a problem for years on end.

the necromancers on the other hand...those twisted casters would need to be watched. Their experience with Dhar would also need to be carefully monitored, as the casters had a nasty tendency to draw other powers if they were not careful. Thankfully with this many dragons following him their effects would be negated if things went south. That and their apparently near fanatical loyalty to his Lord Dracul was not in question. He only wished that the Holy Judges following the now two armies would stop trying to slow down the army to try and examine every battle-site the army checked.

Though one in particular was both somewhat infuriating with her thoroughness, but also a welcome reprieve, as her own eye caught many worshippers of the four wicked gods, or other foul beings. Not to mention the numerous cases she had proven beyond a doubt that they served them. Including hunting down mutant enclaves that feasted on the flesh of mankind, or otherwise worse things that strained the mind and soul to look upon, that is if they didn't have the comforting darkness to...obscure the menace. It was also ironic in the Heralds eyes that his Lord was nearing total mastery of the Wind of Light despite being a Force of Supreme Darkness, at least until one thought of the duality between night and day, darkness and light.

In a way, he could say his working relationship with the once-peasant girl now turned holy judge and leading the rather large band of worshipers of Dracul following the Legion of the Dead and the Flight of Dragons and bands of darker beasts. They had been...good company as he dwelt among both dragons and men, his very being a balance between the two worlds. He also was often the one who helped calm any unreasonable reactions (With the Holy Judges aid no less!). Many a time he had been exasperated trying to tell the peasant rebels (though they were shaping up to be somewhat decent recruits for the men at arms...green by his rather high standards for a military force and chivalrous code) from trying to honor and/or worship a lake or paticular feeding ground where the dragons chose to either rest or gather whatever valuables they had taken from the war.

Though he did disdain such a thing at first due to his discomfort, the Peasant girl...no Jeanne was quite...interesting...on many matters, though his greater discomfort was from her rather deep zealous nature when Dracul was concerned. When he had mentioned by off-hand during one of their talks in their work about being his lords new herald...she had become rather...insistent on her questions. Some were innocent enough, others reminded him on what usual peasant women and some noble ladies once did when in the presence of the Grail Knights in the Olden days when things were so much more...noble.

Though he could appreciate her work ethic and dedication to the cause, he did worry that someday he zealous nature might end up on the wrong side of a witch hunter's prye...though when questioned she did assure him she knew the value of secrecy with that small cunning smile of hers. After all, she had been the first to become one of the holy judges...

That information alone had him weigh many things, for one with nothing to be suddenly given everything they ever needed? Food, Water, Shelter, and education? Assurance of Health and Home? These things had left the Herald pondering during his training hours when he was not leading from the front. Or practicing his abilities, one of which was to summon constructed blades of Ether...they did not last long as the Winds of Metal, Light, Fire and Illusion did not blend well enough for permanency, but they didn't need so now did they? So far he was able to summon a total of 20 blades in a ringed circle around him, as well as twist his armor to manifest wings and a tail of a dragon, though the wings were more akin to metal blades.

His armor as well was different in many regards...though he appreciated the difference. Though he would prefer the Young Judge to cease asking on how he came to have the Divine Armor and weaponry.

Turning his gaze from his contemplation outward he noted that the legion had arrived at the last point where the orks were sighted, now he would unleash the dark beasts to begin the hunt for the Orks, as well as use the Dragons for aerial support to either deny the orks any rest, hiding places, and force them out into the open. Though he would prefer if they were not within the cave complexes of the mountains, but if they were he would need to lay siege to whatever place they may have held up...though perhaps burning the cavern system would do some good...it would allow him to note where the other openings would be with the ash/smoke of the fires.

And of course he would need Jeanne to keep the training mortal forces from ending up dead from zealotry...no point in wasting valuable lives when the dead could take the burnt the blow. Only Dracul would know how many mass graves and untended battle-fields there were in bretonnia...and if the army that was amassed was just the north of bretonnia...he dreaded the sheer numbers of dead that would come about from the more southern and war-torn places. How many ancient crypts hidden from mortal gaze were there? how many grave-yards not guarded by the gods of death were there? how many dead would be raised...such a number may not possibly exist in the realms of men, dwarves, and elves.

The Herald of Dracul privately shuddered when he contemplated this, but for now he would unleash the growing embers of his fury upon the greenskin filth. nudging the doom-fire dragon that was "persuaded" to accept his supremacy between the two he approached the rest of the more mortal bodies of the army and begin to give out orders. As well as giving Jeanne the suggestion to fortify the village in case the ork's returned, which case they could then track the beasts back to their lair with greater ease.

Though he did wonder what his Lord was up too in his former homeland...and he dearly hoped his old home did not do anything foolish to acquire more grudges of The Father of Dragons, he knew that many slayers attacked unprovoked slumbering dragons or fought with dishonorable means against the ancient ones. Or did other fouler things to their nests and hoards gathered from rightful conquests over the years. He shook his head sadly, whatever the case had been, he had honored his foe with his battle...he just hoped that not to many of his former homes people did not follow the current slayers path.

But for now...it was time to Unleash the growing fury he felt in his soul...even as incomplete as it was...

and maybe...just maybe...he could reach his fullest potential...the future he felt and heard. His song unleashed from the growing embers.

This makes me wonder if Bahamut meets Doomslayer maybe one day

This makes me wonder if Bahamut meets Doomslayer maybe one day

might be possible...though by then he would be powerful enough to throw down with minor gods at that point, due to daemon-hood and all that and as well as our "First" Daemon-Prince of Order/Darkness...that title and narrative power alone makes him a potential rival to Fricken Belakor himself. Though thats if Bahamut gets "Marks" from the other order gods by either bargaining with them, or potentially getting a power-boost from them.

if we join the empire gods table, we might get all their marks for bahamut making him one of the nastiest force multipliers in the warp. (though Morr wouldn't give shit to us, but we dont have to like him to work with him. Just be either neutral or passive agressive to each other). We could also do this with the other "First" daemon princes of the order gods in the empire pantheon.

The Fall of Bretonnia - Part 9
[X] Plan: Undead horde
-[x] Cast Call of Vanhel on our undead forces before the battle and cast Birona's timewarp on our dragons and Dragon knights.
-[x]Demand their surrender.
-[x]Have our undead forces and dark beasts charge. Have our dragons and flying beasts provide air support.
-[x] Have us cast Hands of Karkoa on the grail mages and then curse of ages on the rest of their army.
-[x] After having cast those spells we try to find what all the grail mages and grail knights are trying to protect in the capital.
-[x] Have our dragon knights take 30 great storm dragons, 30 doom fire dragons, 500 fire dragons, and 500 storm dragons to deal with all the grail knights and any grail mage stragglers.
-[x] After the battle is over, provide healing to those who surrendered.
-[x] Have Bahumut follow the same plan as ours where he can.

Montfort

The battle for Montfort began with the complete annihilation of the Orc raiders present in its territory, then came the subjugation of the human forces of the dukedom. Which they refused and so came the task of cleansing Montfort from those who wished to go against the new order of things.

The main targets were the nobles who had many holdings -- such as the duke -- and lorded over thousands, then came those nobles who lived below them but still enjoyed the privileges of their social status, they were impaled and left to rot in front of their luxurious homes.

Their families were put on house arrest and kept watch on by the agents of the Illuminated, the food they forcibly took from the peasants were given back to them, which fostered loyalty, any stranglers that were missed were dealt with in the following days. The libraries of the duke and the other dukes were raided of all its contents, the treasury which overflowed with gold and luxurious items taken by the new order to serve better methods instead of being just there to look pretty.

The conversion of the peasants and the nobles who were smart enough to know where the wind was blowing was easy but the first came towards the new faith of the land more easily, as they did not have their entire lives being indoctrinated to be what's evil overlords.

Bastonne

The battle for Bastonne began when after dealing with the Beastmen, Dracul marshaled the totality of his forces towards the capital city of Bastonne and its surrounding cities and castles after they had rejected his offer of surrender, bringing a host in the tens of millions against the ones who are most known for their dragon-slaying. They hold out for a time thanks to the grail knights and mages but they could only delay the inevitable.

Thousands of undead and dark beasts met their ends on that day by the weapons and fury of the knights of Bastonne, be they normal humans or the mighty grail knights, or the intricate spells of the Grail Mages. But they could as much as they wanted, for one fell ten took its place the horde appeared to be endless no matter how much the knights cut, no matter how the mages fired spell after spell they never ended. And the undead appeared to be insanely fast, only the grail knights seeming capable of following their attacks.

Then glowing hands burst from the ground and grabbed the mages holding them in place as they started to wither and die as their bodies rapidly aged until even their bones became dust upon the winds. Not understanding how they died even after their very last breath.

The dragons came soon after burning the knights and mages, much like the undead they appeared to be bizarrely fast for a beast of their size and weight, at one moment they were on the horizon ready to come to burn another wall of a city, and a few seconds later they had already arrived even if they were miles away from the battle if one looked very closely to their forms it seemed like reality was tearing itself apart.

The battle reached its tipping point when Dracul himself joined in, and started to hunt down and kill any Grail Mage or Knight he set his eyes upon, on that day hundreds of the ones touched by the grail were killed and their souls are taken by the dark blade which the god wilded. But some survived the slaughters and attempted to retreat, they only met the cold blades of the six dragon lords as they and their small army of dragons.

None survived and these lucky few who died by the blades of the former servants of the lady of the lake had their souls taken to her domain. After that the dragon slayers of Bastonne were punished for their crimes they were brutally tortured for days, when their bodies start to succumb to their wounds they are simply healed and then sent to the torture chambers, rinse and repeat until Dracul deems their sentence is finished. Their holdings, including everything of valuables that were in it, were seized and their families were put on house arrest and kept watch 24/7 by the agents of the Illuminated.

The ones who had the mind to surrender were healed of their wounds both old and new along with the peasants; this isn't to say that they weren't being closely watched by the Illuminated.

Unfortunately, it was not discovered what exactly the knights were protecting, but after the interrogation of the duke it was discovered that they were guarding the Fay Enchantress, but given how none of Dracul forces found her she seems to have escaped by unknown means.

[X] Same as always
-[X] Raise The Dead: All dukedoms are places where many battles were fought having so hundreds of thousands or perhaps millions of known and unknown places where the dead were buried. Anunknown amount of undead is raised.
-[X] Garrison The New Territory: Putting a garrison on your new territory is a wise decision. (Write-In Amount)
--[X] Montfort (150,000 skeletons, 150,000 zombies, 100 fire dragons, 100 storm dragons, 1 Great Storm Dragon, 10,000 grave guard, 10,000 black knights, and 8 necromancers)
--[X] Bastonne (150,000 skeletons, 150,000 zombies, 100 fire dragons, 100 storm dragons, 1 Great Storm Dragon, 10,000 grave guard, 10,000 black knights, and 8 necromancers)
-[X] Next Target? (You Can Split Your Forces If You Want To)
--[X] Quenelles: The largest dukedom of Bretonnia after the annexation of Cuileux during 900 IC, Quenelles is being constantly attacked by the orcs coming from the mountain lying in its center. It borders Athel Loren.
--[X] Parravon: Located in the mountains with little fertile land dedicated to agriculture, the dukedom is the one who has a direct border with the mystical forest of Athel Loren, they are also the ones who have almost regular contact with the Asrai. It is currently being invaded by several orc warbands coming from the mountains. Led by Bahamut

Basically the same thing we have been doing but I put to garrison 8 necromancers for each duchy instead of the 10 we have been doing since we are starting to run out.

After this I think we should either call it quits for conquest for now or take Bordelaux and end it there to give us some time to recruit new mages and buff our ranks with more magic.

Time to call it quits and build infrastructure next turn. God or not we need more living manpower to keep things running. Eat too much and we overreach.

A part of me agrees with this but the other part wants to go ahead and finish off Bretonnia to weaken the lady and to prevent them from striking back against us. I don't know much about warhammer fantasy but I feel like if we don't take them over now they will try to make an alliance with another kingdom or try to paint us as the bad guys.

There will be political exiles that do that anyway. In my opinion, we are better off consolidating our gains, and recruiting more mages, and the Empire is also busy off with the OTHER vampires so we should have some time to quickly get new mages before starting a campaign to finish off brettonia

You didn't put in who commands what.

Hmm, we could take some necromancers from every garrison bringing them down to 7 each so we have 18 more. If we do this then after garrisoning Montfort and Bastonne we would have 44, then once we take these next two places and garrison them the same way that would bring us down to 30. Which would leave us with enough to take the rest of Brettonia and garrison them in the same fashion, if we wanted to. Thoughts on doing this?

guys its only been 9 weeks in quest time we should be done by 15 or 16
Thats more reason to take a "rest" in my opinion, briefly consolidate our gains better, and recruit some mages before going back on the warpath again, we have taken territory like 10 times our size in less than maybe 2 to 3ish months. The rest period does not have to be long at all, like just a single turn.
