I like the pettiness of the plan. What did she do to piss us off again?

Edit: Oh right. She was just rude.
She started off on the wrong foot when she tried to Dispel our Telekinetically raised water bridge when we were sauntering over to the Redwyne fleet's flagship way back when we caught them trying to retrieve the Crown.

We were just showing off a bit, and she tried to dunk us in the ocean before we had even become declared enemies.

Really, that's just part of the slight. What really grinded our gears was her "negotiating tactics". It was just basically trying to divert the discussion again and again from any legitimate criticism levied her way.

Also she was likely the cause we simply didn't begin diplomatic relations with the Court of Stars in the first place.

Had she responded differently, maybe we could have had an agreement later on.

She really fumbled that entire meeting in a huge way, considering the later consequences.

Honestly her dying/becoming trapped knowing that she was the main cause (other than the Tyrells) of diplomatic relations going to shit and leading to Starfall is what I need.

"Fumbled" implies that she messed up, but it's been pretty clear from the first second of this meeting that she was actively trying to piss us off. I'd say stunning success on her part.
If I were a betting abomination, I would wager this is why she is basically committing suicide here. Sure, she wants to take as many of us with her as she can, but that's probably only a bonus to ending her own misery.

[X] Goldfish

The funny thing is, if we make her a book, we could keep it in our throne room as what happens when you piss us off enough. That and informing her that he is the reason the court of stars doesn't exist any more.

Perhaps we could find a wobbly table, or even commission one, which needs something wedged under one leg to help steady it?

Moonsong could use it as a stage for her comedy routines while in Sprite form.

Yep. And even to the end she bitches and moans about "mortal law" of being forced not to abuse and toy with our citizens.

Edit: A new title idea occurred to me.

Viserys the Chronicler.

Or keep it in a case, labeled "Wherein I Inevitably Triumphed Over Dusk Dancer, Volumes #1 - #12".

Viserys the Chronicler.
Or the Collector of Stories, especially appropriate because Fey are stories given life.

Bonus points because Viserys also has a Skill Trick with the same name.

Nah. I want "Dusk Dancer, the Complete Story" as storybook for little Rhaenys. Being an uncle means we can spoil her with nice gifts like this.

If we were not under mindblank, the Queen of the Court of Start would have predicted what would happen to her and physically manifested to slap Dusk Dancer when she tried to argue in bad faith with us.

Then she would have negotiated for a portion of the Reach under our authority, just with less Feywild shenanigans. Is it not like we are notopenly looking forwards to removing the Tyrells the moment they piss us off again.

I was thinking about how Indigo Mask didn't even wait until the Queen's metaphorical corpse was cold to join the Others. How did a Feylord who followed the Star Crowned and was a lieutenant of Summer fell so easily?

But he wasn't always a Fey right? He was originally a forgotten god. My hypothesis is that the Queen or maybe even the King tuned him into a Fey as part of a deal. He's probably desperate to not die and that's why he went to join the others .

Doubtful. We were blindly transparent about our motives and what we prioritized, and they did not even try to talk us around, or do anything to convince us we could cooperate. They were just waiting until they had sufficient leverage over us to force us to agree to all of their demands.

When they denied our first offer out of hand, our immediate response wasn't "kill them all" it was "stop them from Mind Controlling the Reach and maybe the whole continent".

When that proved untenable, we escalated... all while they did nothing except when our finger was on the trigger.

They got what the deserved.

Oh, but that was because they thought they could win. Which was proven false. The Queen was afraid of us when we pulled the ritual. She would have tried to negotiate if she hadn't underestimated us.

I can't say that they deserved genocide, but they invited retaliation. My point is that arrogance saw them killed.

  • [X] Plan Setting Sun
-[X] Viserys casts Assay Spell Resistance, then targets Dusk Dancer with a Scribe's Binding spell using Wild Arcana. If necessary, he uses Amazing Initiative to gain an action to activate his Belt of Battle to cast another Scribe's Binding spell or to respond to unexpected events. He uses his Battlemagic Perception buff to Counterspell as a Free Action, if necessary.
-[X] Maelor targets Dusk Dancer's position with his Chilling Tentacles Invocation, then uses a Metamagic Gem to cast a Quickened Flashburst to Blind any remaining Fey.
-[X] Vee readies an action to Counterspell using Greater Dispel Magic, her Ring of Spell-Battle, and her Battlemagic Perception buff to Counterspell as a Free Action.
-[X] Zherys uses Greater Arcane Fusion as a Swift Action to simultaneously cast a True Strike and Disintegrate spell targeting the caster of the Twinned Weird spell, if he can discern their location, repeating this once more of necessary. If not, he instead readies an action to Counterspell using Greater Dispel Magic and his Ring of Spell-Battle.
-[X] Aife uses a Reached Chained Sacramental Seal spell to simultaneously target as many Fey as she can reach, especially the mage casting Weird spells if she can locate them or Dusk Dancer if she escapes Viserys' spells.
-[X] Amrelath casts Blood Wind to target nearby Fey with his many melee attacks, focusing on either interrupting Dusk Dancer if she avoids Viserys' spells, the mage casting Weird spells if located, or any other enemies he deems worthy of his attention.
-[X] Each Mrykdreki uses Thanatopic Enervation spells to target Dusk Dancer, bypassing protections from Energy Drain effects, such as Death Ward. They use Wings of Cover as necessary.
-[X] Each Mind Dragon uses Junglerazer spells to target remaining Fey, especially the Weird casting mage if they can locate them. They use Wings of Cover as necessary, or use their Circlets to cast another Junglerazer spell as a Swift Action if not.
-[X] Mereth, her fellow Erinyes not yet affected by Dusk Dancer, and the Hunter Bio-Constructs seek out the Weird casting mage, while Richard continues to protect Viserys.
    [X] Focus on Dusk Dancer
    -[x] To capture

@Goldfish, maybe add explicitly that the Myrkdreki have to hit her first.

The only way for her to avoid the effects of a Thanatopic Enervation is counterspelling or special defenses like a Ring of Spellbattle. If she has to blow that on the Enervations, our Scribes Binding can pass uncontested, while if she saves special abilities against the Binding, then she still eats an average of 5 negative levels and is definitely toast next round.
