While he's the one we personally slighted, assuming him the culprit from the get-go is mite fast, innit?

He hasn't done pretty much anything since our last interaction.
...Much as that's the fault of the quest's scale and not him lacking desire or ability to, it's still a fact IC.
It's not just a matter of personal baggage between us, Abraxas has been poking around our fucking bread and butter the past couple months.

[X] Retrieve your Watchmoles. With interest.
-[X] You'll use all the divination at your disposal to track them down.
--[X] Have Qyburn, two Black Champions and Richard tag along. If divination gives strong indications that you will face heavy resistance, you will evaluate just how much you should escalate above that. Otherwise you are, as they say, "not fucking around".

[X] Retrieve that item out of Balerion's gullet. That's something you need to have studied.
-[X] Have one of the free-floating Greater Bloodclot Molds ride side-saddle with Balerion. This is only a temporary measure, you'll think about additional wards for the Good Boy later.

[X] The Imperial Air Force will remain on high alert, but you will step down DEFCON 2 to DEFCON 3.

I may have forgotten all to shit, I don't remember a single case of Demons from him fucking with us lately :/
@Goldfish, did ya bite me while I looked away? You don't do that to your fellow Eldritch horrors!

... @Azel, how hard would it be to make a "cyanide pill in a tooth" sort of triggerable device that would hold a Greater Bloodclot?

Balerion is the largest and the easiest subject to have one added to, but now I am curious whether we can make an anti-posession device that would release a bloodclot into the wearer/subject when triggered.
The Bloodclot could just infiltrate the targets body, but not override their control over their own body. If something weird happens, the mold can assume direct control.

I've proposed this for Balerion since I think that Viserys bond and the chance for Balerion to have some more company outweigh the discomfort, and said discomfort is already a lot lesser for Balerion since he is huge and thus the Bloodclot can more easily find room for himself without being too unpleasant. That would be different in a human sized target though where the Bloodclot would be a giant, painful tumor.

The chase is on apparently. Also aren't every creature we make part of the GreenDream and such? Would Bloodraven be able to just track them with that connection?

We need at least three types of Mind Blank for the Good Boy, but this is a fine measure for the moment.

@Goldfish @Azel Speaking of Qyburn, do y'all have all you need for a sheet put together? It would be better if DP had one with all the relevant bonuses, immunities or changes added. And I assume Qyburn has had time to learn a handful of spells at least.

I'll update his sheet tomorrow and pick some more spells for him.

I'm open and grateful for suggestions though, since so far, I only got Celerity, Teleport and Disintegrate on my bucket list.

How likely is that the attack was done in order to draw us away, seeing as enemies would know how Viserys would attempt to Divine and get back the captured minions?

While he isn't at the Snare, another, more concentrated attack could be tried.

...Or all this is a way to run Vissy ragged with attacks all around, it is a long-established weakness and a reasonable way to kill us.
*goes full paranoiac*

Wasn't me. I'm not the only forgetful abomination, though, so watch out...

I'll try to update his sheet somewhat in the morning before work. I would do it tonight, but I'm mentally wiped out. I hate moving so much, even getting ready for a move is exhausting and I haven't even started packing yet.

If we end up on a goose chase without much to show for it, A) not pulling away anything preassigned to guard the snares.

And B) we'll focus on pro-active defense... by going on the offense. No one does vindictive like us.

A single pentacle Lesser Talisman is 60 IM and require no crafting feats to make. They're single use, but you can wear three in one neck slot sot they still have some utility.

Have Scholarum students make these things as part of a standard curriculum to let them see if they like crafting. We can afford to provide at least one reroll against possession to most of our forged creatures if we set it up that way.

For stuff like that abjuration suppressor we can include Danger Sense talismans. With anything less than perfect surprise the target would get a +5 to initiative, which is pretty good for 75 IM.

@DragonParadox, forgot to mention it earlier, but Balerion shouldn't have been able to actually claw at the Snare chamber's walls. The entire dome is protected by boosted Greater Sign of Sealing spells and he hasn't got what it takes to bring them down.

As I've said, just toss me the spells you were thinking about and I can take care of that while you get some rest. I have a spot of time during my lunch break at the latest.

If we keep using demons as sacrifice fodder then we might want to consider investing in some Demon Sorrow Curved Blades. Pricy at 9292 IM, but for your money you get a cold iron holy demon bane sword which stops all demons within 60ft from moving off plane as if they were effected by dimensional anchor.

Being able to teleport on top of someone holding an active dimensional anchor that only effects them is a special way of say "fuck you".

Aww :(

No full-month summoning spree then.
Oh well, was worth a try.

I'm not sure what we reasonably could have Viserys be busy with, in a productive manner, for 9 days before the ritual though.

A lot of people voiced lack of want to see Slavers' Bay again, at least in non-report manner, so we can't really send Viserys there.
Lannister-infiltration isn't all that interesting at the stage we are going through...
Maybe misdirect CoS by doing something in-person in Reach? But then again, they could pick up on that easily enough...
R'hlor's assault on Ymeri may profit from Viserys, but I promised to fight against the notion and so I shall.
Fite meh. 👊🤬👊

Mhm. Conundrum-y.

If your looking for things for Viserys to do he can always assassinate Mace Tyrell.

Give Cos a distraction. Mostly just so there is one less massive idiot alive.

@Crake, please add to have Mereth take a few of her Erinyes and some Archons from Mantarys to teleport around and sweep high-risk installations and Watchmen creatures for possession. Her Erinyes too for completeness sake.

Also a general order to the Inquisition to be on hightened alert for possessions and general demonic incursions.

-[X] Begin having the House of Mirrors run ahead and devote special focus to this, first doing a general, broad sweep of divination and then narrowing focus as Mereth forwards intelligence on the matter to a Inquisition agent on-hand.
--[X] The Inquisition should still have a large amount of combat assets on hand, so she will also be sure to coordinate her search with the already proactive Investigators and Inquisitors in the field if necessary / practical.
---[X] If we are heavily infested somewhere, the garrison will immediately respond. Followed shortly by certain annihilation from the Armed Forces of the Imperium.

[X] The Imperial Air Force: DEFCON 2 (Readied CAG in Westhaven, Active Patrols in Stepstones)
-[X] The Imperial Legion: DEFCON 2 -> 3 (We have gone from "prepare to repel imminent Demonic Incursion" to "we are generally in a state of war readiness".)
-[X] The Inquisition: Issue a general order to the Inquisition to be on heightened alert for possessions and general demonic activity across the Imperium.

Our DEFCON goes up like in X-Men Evolution?

I guess it's a rating of "how bad things will get" instead of the RL "countdown to the end of the world".
