Religion is vital to Mathilde. If it's an obstacle between her and Panaromia, this needs to be resolved, if any sincere relationship stands a chance. I don't see why we should hold it off, given that religious compatibility is almost certainly going to be one of the stress points of any meaningful romantic relation Mathilde could have. If our religion makes the relationship impossible, so be it, better we know now than later. If it is compatible, we need to have an idea of how our faith plays out with Panoramia's own ideals. Mathilde is a very pious woman of faith , and there is no escaping or denying this.
From a real-life dating perspective, I guess "lead with the potential dealbreaker" is a sensible heuristic. I worry that it might come off a little weird from an in-character perspective (since the implication is that we're considering her for a serious relationship, which is true OOC but which is more ambiguous in the voting option), but I trust Boney to make it interesting. When it comes to longer-term compatibility, this is basically the single biggest factor. PanPan's not super okay with the religious trappings of the Jade Order, while Mathilde has stupid high piety and gets handed divine artifacts from her god.
It's entirely possible that she'll be totally cool with it, but this is important to find out.

The quest was originally an advisor quest, and while large portions of it have changed, that's still the basic setup we're in, and it's a unique and interesting setup that has won many fans over the years. I would rather explore one part of the world to a high degree of depth and get to know the characters there than range over the world as a wandering hero. Being an honest-to-goodness ruler a la a standard CK2 quest (or would it be CK3, now?) is somewhat better than a wandering hero, but that just means more focus on our polity, less focus on Mathilde-as-Mathilde, and a more generic sort of quest, which I think would be a loss.I get it, but while your still interested in spending the rest of the story as loremaster of k8ps, I'm already getting bored and want to start exploring other aspects of the setting.
this update just strengthened that desire with all the world-building in it.
Warhammer is such a big setting, and are largely stuck in the literal corner of it.
