[X] A Scenic Hike
You're both active people, and the Silver Tarn is supposed to be beautiful. Go for a hike up Karagril and take in the view.

So.... is anyone else now interested in the 'shadow barony' Arc after the k8ps arc?

like, Ross is not going to be able to govern all of Stirland and Sylvania herself, she is going to have to put new barons in charge as she cant trust the locals.

The wizard that everyone is a scary legend and already a knight is a pretty good one to have in charge to keep people inline. and help Kasmir bring back the old gods

while maybe asking a dwarf engineer to be our learning adviser to rebuild the place.

get an apprentice or The Hochlander for intrigue.

ask around the Knights of Mor for a martial adviser

would probably need a local for diplomacy.

and its close (relatively) to k8ps, so we can set a tp tower up, literally roll out of our bed in k8ps and into our office in Sylvania.

sounds like a fun adventure that brings aspects of all our other adventures into play.

Edit: What's with the laugh reacts? That tangent in this turn made me want moar!
I think it was the FIVE SEVEN THOUSAND WORDS bit that seemed over-the-top and jocular. But yeah, a group social action where all the members of the council get characterized a bit more would be neat.
I like the idea that Mathilde asked Pan out to a dinner, and then a year later she invited her on a hike and starts displaying real interest. The time scale of these scenes and these turns are buck wild, it's so hard to really feel how much time is passing.
Abstractions gonna leak. It's what abstractions do. So it goes.

You have a space in your brackets that will result in your vote not being counted.
Does you using word "predecessor" means that Kasmir accepted the job and now acts as Roswita's Piety advisor? If that is the case I'm curious whether this theological expedition of his is job action or off-duty one.
Yeah, he accepted the job a while back:
Apparently he showed up for just long enough to get his new title and then went back out looking for more Vampires. Him and Roswita are exchanging letters as he gives her a crash course on the political realities of the upper echelons of the Sigmarite church.
"Ministering to the spiritual health of Sylvania" is likely to be his assigned task, on the grounds that 1) it's super duper important 2) he's clearly going to do it anyway, so you might as well order him to do it.

I'm still not super interested in there being an "after K8Ps arc." I like it here and I like this job. I have no desire to move on from it unless something dramatically changes.

We roll around in c r i m e all day. I'm not interested in keeping a relationship going for years without really communicating that to her.

I think Kasmir took the job, came back for a crash course and then back to Sylvania, and does most of his advicing though letters.

I kind of think its important to see how she reacts to this side of mathy.

a lot of people don't like how much she eye rolls our silly side. e.g the Ranlad side.

I want to see how she handles this aspect of mathy before we commit.

I get it, but while your still interested in spending the rest of the story as loremaster of k8ps, I'm already getting bored and want to start exploring other aspects of the setting.

this update just strengthened that desire with all the world-building in it.

Warhammer is such a big setting, and are largely stuck in the literal corner of it.

In a word no, in several words:

It would feel really odd to be Roswita's vassal given the younger sister dynamic Mathilde had with her. We would also los access to many of the specialized resources of K8P and for what? To have Mathilde's arc go full circle and end up in Stirland again. there is nothing there fo her to do and to grow into. Also a baroness must have an heir and that reads 'boring AP sink to me' so double pass.

Religion is vital to Mathilde. If it's an obstacle between her and Panaromia, this needs to be resolved, if any sincere relationship stands a chance. I don't see why we should hold it off, given that religious compatibility is almost certainly going to be one of the stress points of any meaningful romantic relation Mathilde could have. If our religion makes the relationship impossible, so be it, better we know now than later. If it is compatible, we need to have an idea of how our faith plays out with Panoramia's own ideals. Mathilde is a very pious woman of faith , and there is no escaping or denying this.

When it comes to longer-term compatibility, this is basically the single biggest factor. PanPan's not super okay with the religious trappings of the Jade Order, while Mathilde has stupid high piety and gets handed divine artifacts from her god.

It's entirely possible that she'll be totally cool with it, but this is important to find out.

The most important thing is that it be something Mathilde will enjoy, and that includes an opportunity to learn about similarities/differences with Panoramia.

6 months of relationship on courting Pan by playing to what we already know rather than seeing how compatible we are would be a waste IMO.

Proper dwarves courting right there!

What do you mean that we're not a dwarf?

So Kasmir is going full comparative schoolar and going 'if Sigmar doesn't work here, lets try someone else'.

Lmao, sooner or later he's going to be the first multiclass priest of the setting. He's probably ripe to be picked up by the edgewise 'conspiracy' and get Mathilde imbroglied into the paranoia of that Sigmar fanatic Lord Magister by attempting to ask for Mathilde as a go between since she 'obviously' is aware of them.

This can only work well with the hatred of Sigmar trait. A long long long vacation out of the empire is needed. Fortunately that's the intent. Even the chaos wastes are better. Damn you Ranald, politics aren't fun. Why do people want to be Lord Magister or Matriarch anyway? Just go to Lustria and have adventures for the rest of Mathilde's (possibly short) life.

I wonder if we could sneak in the Dammerlichtreiter into the whole minor gods worship thing. 🤔
The issue is that it's a two-parter operation. You need the people out advertising, but you do also need an actual god in the home office filing the prayer forms. The problem with all the god kings and what-not is that they immediately try and get themselves deified when they're alive, but that means trying to set up a business when you can't fulfill orders, so they just crash and burn. 'We worshiped so and so, but never got anything out of them; obviously they were lying'.

The reason Ulric could get Sigmar going was that Sigmar was in a well-paying theological position at the time (a powerful saint of Ulric, who lots of people in the Empire were already praying to so that he could intercede with Ulric), so he already had really good advertising and a really receptive customer base, and all Ulric had to do was give him a small loan so he could start fulfilling orders himself.
