so 5 locations. i'd say Lya to the mage smiths, veserys to the barrow of kings, Rina to either the godswood or observetory Xor should probebly go the the observitory for the sheer pun of a beholder in an observitory

@Goldfish We have over twenty PCs, and three dragons. I suggest keeping back the two riders at the settlement, prepare copious buffing schemes for each party and tackle the Observatory (send Amrelath to that one), the Barrows of the Kings and Runesmiths and the Dead Godswood simultaneously, with the Moonchaser in reserve to offer long-rage bombardment where possible. She should be able to keep stability to hit pretty much anything in the open in the valley by keeping her weather control station on dispelling bad weather, unless the Others are willing to pour a lot more juice into things than usual (can they even do that at the height of summer @DragonParadox? It doesn't seem like a domain they should be able to flex in all but the furthest North).

Viserys, Dany, Sandor Clegane, Lya (2nd body), Sir Richard, Velen, Xor, Waymar, Vee, Riz'Neth, Malarys, Garin, Melisandre, 4 Mind Dragons, Rina, 1 Harbinger, 1 Adamantine Golem, 1 Hadhayosh, 14 Heralds, Mereth, Yrael, Lady Saenena, Wyla Drakelis, Roose Bolton, Nettles - Rider of the Sheepstealer, Amrelath, Benerro, Zherys, 2 Orphne Fey Lords (CR 15), Liomond Lashare, Alyssa Crowl (Ranger 13), Danar Crowl (Bard 6/Lyric Thaumaturge 7)

On reflection, these are our assets present, though we also have all three of the Moonchasers and their fighter complement present, meaning at least three groups have close-range and long-range air support.

And we can split up multiple groups of Heralds to do attack runs or to be muscle for parties light on muscle, though enclosed spaces aren't good for them.

Bahro our golem monk would be great for the Heart Tree party since it seems like the most "out in the open" one.

@DragonParadox since you might not have internalized all of these characters in the update here you go. They are definitely all present though. We voted on it. :V

Also @Goldfish, for this op each group should temporarily be making use of a set of Titan's Tools and reinforcing or clearing up every passage they go through (or creating a more stable path if they have to go up into the hills). This is quicker than slowly climbing up them for Bahro for example. You could probably make a literal giant stair way for him to the weirwood.

If we can have the Moonchasers present, we might as well start evacuating Thenns.

Also, load them up with the good fire ammo for the occasion. Just in case a place needs an urgent makeover.

I love the smell of Greek Valyrian Alchemist's Fire in the morning.

Normally they wouldn't no, but you are standing at their doorstep right now about to remove beyond their present reach a clan of people against which they have quite a grudge.
Maybe we can sacrifice at the local weirwoods for a temporary geographic protection against this kind of thing?

That's what we in modern parlance call a "dick move", after all. :V

Should use all three Moonchasers then. That's three weather control units working together to quell winds and all weaponry is equipped with targeting optics that ignore sight modifiers from all brands of weather.

Thinking about it, they don't have the right domain... maybe if we wanted to protect a fortification of stone against damage we could do it. But we're on the offense and out in the open.

@DragonParadox Maybe Zathir could help for some of our reserved favor?

with Vee having added her own contributions earlier this morning by calling upon the memories of the land it offers as complete a picture of of this corner of the North as any you could hope for.
@DragonParadox, don't we already have the Legendary Map of the Farthest North?
[] Barrows of the Kings

[] Barrows of the mage-smiths

[] Buried Hall

[] Dead Godswood

[] Ice Crowned Observatory
The mage-Smith barrows will be amazing.

i Really want to see what is in the Observatory and Buried hall since one is quite unique especially out here and the other has been preserved fantastically due to being burried

Most of the barrows are actually barrows, so there will be no targets for flyers.
But they can be there and look impressive I guess.

the Moonchasers are good support for outside teh observitory, the dead godswood and if the Others try anything fucky out here in the open

I think we're gonna have to settle for only moderate fire support from the Moonchasers if @DragonParadox says that divine weather control can only be mildly abated, or no fire support at all if he's just gonna toss an apocalyptic storm at us that can't be obviated at all. I don't want to risk Zathir since they are almost certainly going to do something fucky to his avatar if we bring him here.

Okay, here's what I have for group assignments. These three sites are new, whereas the Barrow of Kings and Barrow of Mage-Smith's have already been explored and cleared out to some extent. That doesn't mean we can't check them out, too, but they're of less interest, IMO.

Any rearrangement I need to do among the groups?I

EDIT: Added a group for the Barrow of the Mage-Smiths, plus some other asset assignments.

[X] Barrows of the mage-smiths
-[X] Benero, Zherys, Liomond Lashare, Sandor Clegane, Mind Dragon, Yrael, 1 Herald

[X] Buried Hall
-[X] Waymar, Xor, Melisandre, Wyla, Riz'Neth, Mereth, Mind Dragon, 1 Herald

[X] Dead Godswood
-[X] Vee, Rina, Amrelath, Lady Saenena & Korizon, Adamantine Golem, Mind Dragon, Harbinger, 3 Heralds

[X] Ice Crowned Observatory
-[X] Viserys, Dany, Lya, Ser Richard, Garin, Malarys, Mind Dragon, 1 Herald

[X] Reserves: They will liaise with the Thenns to help organize the evacuation while remaining available to lend their aid elsewhere in the valley should it be needed. Nettles and Sheepstealer will remain on overwatch with the Moonchasers.
-[X] Danar Crowl, Alyssa Crowl, Velen, Twin Feylords, Nettles & Sheepstealer, Hadhayosh, 8 Heralds, Nirah (Champion of Yss)

[X] Air Force Deployment
-[X] Deploy the 3 Moonchaser-class vessels in a rough circle over the valley at an altitude of 500m.
--[X] Their main objective will be to alleviate weather attacks and to protect the ward anchors from a concentrated Other assault. For this reason they are deployed low enough to draw fire from ground forces.
--[X] They will be loaded up with an equal mix of Explosive Pack / Alchemists Fire payloads for Beetle Bombs, Bolts / Alchemists Fire for point defense Launchers and solid / Explosive Pack / Alchemists Fire shells for the Steam Cannons.
-[X] Deploy the Wyvern contingents at high altitude, where they will observe weather pattern while circling well above the cloud cover. At the captain's discretion, they will either dive in to attack hostile fliers, or break contact and evacuate towards the Wall if conditions worsen too much for them to safely fly.
--[X] They will activate their Energy Siege Shot systems and set them to Fire damage, use an equal mix of bolts / Alchemists Fire rounds for their Launchers, 2 Explosive Pack Beetle Bombs, 2 Alchemists Fire Beetle Bombs, and a full 500 pound load of Alchemist Fire in their bomb bays.

-[X] Moonsong and her Moonchaser will stay positioned closest to the Observatory.
-[X] If the Others' use weather control beyond the Moonchasers' ability to affect, they will reduce altitude, or land of necessary, and begin preparations to load the Thenns for evacuation.
You are missing a lot of assets from that, if you refer to my post in the last page.

there was much sadness at not having Mereth and ser richard in the same mission

so what you are proposing is clearing these new sites then the ones we alreaddy knew of after

For the regular forces. Odds are, if the Others flex their muscles, they will try to wipe the wards and Thennhold before using their now total control of the battlefield to kill everyone we brought here.

@Goldfish, landing the Moonchasers under heavy storm conditions and then opening the cargo bays is a suicidal idea. The cargo lifts are not rated for divine-grade blizzards and will freeze solid on us, leaving the vessel extremely vulnerable.

Also, while big, they are also heavy so winds will be unable to affect the Moonchasers flight much unless the winds become so strong that they would kill everyone on the ground instantly anyway.

If things really go so bad that we need to abort, that means everyone falling back to Thennhold and then seeing what we can do, but the Moonchasers need to stay up in the air and shell every commer for the whole time.
