By the way, @DragonParadox, I really hope that creating this is a big deal. In time, reagents, divine attention (or all three), whatever. Either that, or it's inferior to a proper Forge which is powered by multiple Leylines and is the result of millenia of experimentation and science.

I'd agree - what's our control for the Fungus Forge?
The OG don't have anyone operating it. The Forge needs someone to actually make it work, IIRC, and they don't have a large priesthood which can bring forth raw materials for the Leshies or anything.

Furthermore, we're in deep with the OG already, and they're a very dependable ally. Their "high priest" is a Targaryen!

The Old Gods have been almost completely hands off and utterly chill with whatever we make or who we allow to work there. They didn't even say anything when we started making undead, and they really hate undead.
Mind that that is in Gogossos where they have much less influence beyond calming the Landwarden.

The real test on their acceptance of undead will be growing the first sentient murder mold.

Very much inferior, the initial options are not going to be not what kind of elemental do you want, but what size all bog standard water elemetals, the kind of thing Lya can do right now on her own with fire.

-[X] We are willing to work with the Merling King, but we cannot accept being limited in this fashion.
-[X] We need to be able to freely assign our own mages to the Creche without needing approval, and overall we need the Merling King to have a general hands off approach to what creatures we make just as the Old Gods do for the Forges
--[X] In exchange we would be willing to craft him a Herald near equal to Yss' own in the Flesh Forges, complete with a sacrifice to sanctify his blessing upon it (with the assumption of course that this herald would be allied to us)
---[X] We can also offer a few lesser heralds to serve as the main herald's attendants

I didn't hear any objections to making a Merling King herald so that's the bait I'll try to tempt them with. In general I agree with @TalonofAnathrax and @Tomcost objecting towards this, and I'd really rather make a secular Creche, but if the Merling King agrees to this then it's basically the same as the Fungus Forge. @Goldfish, as you are the only one currently namevoting me, heads up that I changed my vote to this.

Thanks for the heads up, dude. This works for me, too.

Growing Water Elementals isn't nearly so versatile as what the Forges are capable of, but they can still be very useful. Water Elementals on the open ocean can be scary fuckers.
His favored animal is the dolphin or sea cat depending on which priest you ask. A natural feel would be best for esthetics.
Seacats! Neat. We are actually growing a couple Sea cat variants in the Fungal Forge this month, a CR 6 version and a CR 8 version. We could make a really neat Divine Herald with a Seacat chassis.

Sea Cat – d20PFSRD

With this we have both Water and Fire.

Now we need to get something about Wind and Earth. Mother Earth could probably help us if we resurrect her, but I don't know where to search for Wind. Maybe Father Sky?

I hope that after this Lya learns enough to start the process to make our own outsider forges in the Imperial Afterlife.

Father Sky probably can help us with Lightning Elementals if only from lore of the underlying principles we wouldn't find elsewhere, but that's mostly just reflected as a one-time research boost, and that's not one of the primary elements either which we would probably need to research first.

I think we might actually have to search for that kind of lore on Air, that or study the creation of such beings as it happens naturally.

Honestly the Old Gods could help us with earth elementals, they probably just never brought it up. They are the "bones of the earth".

Need some more votes, y'all.

    [X] Yes
-[X] So long as he agrees to a mostly hands off approach in regards to which creatures we create just as the Old Gods have done for the Forges
