We should just explain that if something were to happen in those 3 days, why, our debt would only grow. And if our debt were to grow too big, who knows what we may have to do to preserve our honor. So really, she's better off not fucking with us.

Another immediate option is to bypass her, by teleporting out of here and visiting the palace directly. I am sure the Emperor will make time for us.

People, I am also annoyed at this woman, but killing her is a bad plan and we should not do it.
Not only is she ready for a big fight with a ritual prepared, but our goal is not "kill everyone" - it is "not wreck Xue's life", which is incompatible with sudden regime change.

You mean Pol Ning's life. And it's kind of already on fire and destined to get worse. Mind, I'm not advocating for killing this woman. But I do think it's past time we showed her what we think of her.

so how high up is lady Xue up our shitlist after this conversation, i remember us going after those random whisps once so this will probebly be someone who we will take revenge on in some manner later

P. sure you meant Pol An Ning, which isn't necessarily exclusive with wrecking Xue's life. :V

Not very, honestly. She's done no more than mildly inconvenience us. The Wisps have sins far graver... they embarrassed us.

She can make us look like a fool now and then go "it was just a prank, bro!" and we'll see how far up the Shit Tiers she goes.

[X] Stare at Lady Xue with a fair approximation of the same smile you gave the former Archon of Lys' sister when you signed an empty accord with her.
-[X] "I'm standing in the ashes of the last group of people to inconvenience me in some manner. Do you know how precious my time is, or are you being deliberately obtuse? Regardless, my patience is past fraying, it is nonexistent."
-[X] "Perhaps you could reevaluate the current constraints about both your, mine and Pol An Ning's time. I'm sure this was just a small misunderstanding. Perhaps an error in communication. Translation spells aren't perfect, as I am unfortunately discovering."

Huh...Lady Xue, what is your game here? Surely you must be trying to be clever in some manner that escapes me, otherwise you are badly misunderstanding the situation in which you find yourself.

@Azel, I do hope you intend to include something along the lines of "I'm sorry, but you appear to assume that I was asking for an appointment?" in regards to meeting with Pol Ning in three days?

while i like Crake's vote i will wait to compare Azels knife to his to see with which i want to stab her the most

That works, too.

Misinterpretation, presumably. She doesn't think we care that much.

Or maybe she's detached from reality in that fashion so particular to people in Imperial courts and thinks we honestly won't dare push her.

[X] Plan Do Not Anger A Dragon
-[X] Telepathically ask Lya, Vee and Rina to visit Pol Ning in her chambers to make our offer and report on her state and situation.
-[X] Also let Richard, Garin and Malarys get ready to reinforce either of the groups in case of trouble.
-[X] "My Lady, I find myself in an odd situation. I have come here with no intention to offend you, but apparently I am not offered the same courtesy. I feel this is most disharmonious."
-[X] Take a good sip of tea.
-[X] "I wonder how our relationship would be if we were to meet at the court in Yin in the future. The prospect seems unpleasant."

Sending in an all woman team to be proper and traditional about this. Sending this particular all woman team because they can turn the entire palace into a frozen crater full of monsters in six seconds flat.

[X] Azel
The way I see it, Crake's plan is "you aren't as funny as you seem to think you are, fuck you", and Azel's is "whatever, I won't even bother asking you for anything, let alone permission, at this point".

I wonder how many would notice if we took her and fleshcrafted a nicer replacement/duplicate....

Crake's vote solves nothing beyond our desire for some catharsis.
This kind of play will have to be followed by either Xue's removal and us taking control of that Empire, or by us tying Pol Ning to us in such a way that to harm her is to harm their interests (or hopes of mildly positive relations with us).

Similarly, Azel's plan hopes that Pol Ning will either abandon her Emperor and brother and come with us, or that the team of angry Companions we send in will make a more sustainable bargain offscreen with someone more reasonable.
Azel's plan is better, but still not to my liking.

I'll have my own vote up when I get home, I guess.

Honestly it just seems like the difference between "ESCALATING, FLOOR IT" and "I'm giving you one more chance to make the right call here".
