Can we assume Viserys and most important people in the Imperium are properly paranoid about this?
Yes, very much so.
Can we assume Viserys and most important people in the Imperium are properly paranoid about this?
Same here. I trust @Goldfish not to waste precious time on an offer that by all rights should backfire.[X] Goldfish
I don't trust anyone else, let alone myself, to continue making plans for this fight. You've been really pulling us through this, @Goldfish.
In the few rounds we are given, well, a shitload could be cast.
Little can be said.
And what would we do, really? Stop everyone's skin regenerating it's entirety every other week? Use Limited Wish everywhere they are to gather any flakes falling off' them? Can we assume Viserys and most important people in the Imperium are properly paranoid about this?
waht.
Hair, actually, not skin flakes. And mainly making sure we clean up after ourselves and don't leave it in beds or combs for imps or quasits to find. And what would we do, really? Stop skin regenerating it's entirety every other week? Use Limited Wish everywhere they are to gather any flakes falling off' them?
C'mon, as cheesy as the skin-scrying may be, trying to stop it entirely is even more stupid.
I'm not mentioning hair at all, it is even easier to get a hold of, really.
And needs far less magic to find it, unlike the skin flakes.
The best counter to this we have is to only leave Forbiddance warding while surrounded by bodyguards/PCs, or while being powerful enough personally to chance it. Ask @Goldfish.And what would we do, really? Stop everyone's skin regenerating it's entirety every other week? Use Limited Wish everywhere they are to gather any flakes falling off' them?

Considering it's Goldfish, that's basically taken as given.
Damn, this was scary, dude! Great chapter, too. We're almost done, y'all.Curse and Claim
Thirteenth Day of the Twelfth Month 293 AC
"Let all your pride be ashes and all your power spent, forgotten and accursed be!" you shout, the words heavy with the magic of your soul, with the will that carried you to this far off place to deal death and ruin. Madness to think that you can curse a goddess, and yet you attempt it. Perhaps only the mad would dare face the mother of dragons. So it had been in lost Valyria so it would be now.
Some nameless skien of the world tears, behind you, all around as your magic washes over Her and for a moment she recoils as though you had struck some physical blow against her titanic form. You had not overcome her will, the mind and might of the Mother of Dragons, who was a godless when the world was young, but you had struck her just the wounded her just the same. Pride floods over you and you know it is of her, you hate it and you love it, but you cannot deny it.
She hears you of course, the curse is more than sound passing though the air, it is a challenge Five heads turn to regard you, then pairs of hateful eyes: "I made you child, I shall unmake you." Five voices speak as one. In one clawed talon a ruby glitters brighter than her scales. Even as Lya begins to weave an arcane harmony so too does Tiamat, the azure head coiling through the sky almost as if dancing... or laughing
Pressing your hands against the air you spin a wall of power into being, and intangible barrier to all magics... all lesser in power than yours at least. As you look into eyes bright as crimson flame you know it is not enough.
"Viserys Targaryen," She hisses your name just as she had on that long ago death when your sister had bargained with Her for your life. "Bound thy be."
With those three terrible words you know the ruby is not the only thing she is holding, besides it there is something else too small to see, a shed scale, a silver hair wrapped tight. You feel the pull of the ruby though silver and though magic, even through the cloak of devil's hide forged.
You raise the ring to deny the spell... time twists against you. Though Dany tries to counter it voice desperate in your ear the Her spite proves stronger the band of gold is nothing but a dead weight upon your hand. Only your will remains to fight the pull.
Feeble mortal will... relent...
It is such a small spell, one you have heard used a thousand times before, a finger placed on the scales of fate, Dany too must have cut herself free from the threads of time too to be able to cast another spell so soon, practically overlapping with her last attempt. Her wing is a soft touch upon your face.
It is enough.
You shudder, a film of cold sweat across your face, the ivory rod is slippery in your hand. "Your Grace," Ser Richard's voice sounds shaken as you have rarely heard it in a fight. You have rarely heard him speak beyond calling out instructions, or asking how best to fight the foe. What does he see in your face? You are not sure you want to know.
Tiamat's jaws snap in vicious rage at having been denied her 'prize' so narrowly, then open to spew out the roiling destruction deeper than any spell., but before the tide of ruin can flow over you the ground cracks with a sound like thunder and for the first time you see it, the weapon of Anciant Qarth, meant to fight the rebellious get of Tiamat not turned against her.
If one takes each feature in part the Worm should not look impressive, skin of pitted marble like the walls of crumbling temples, over which flows sand and soil and the blood of the fallen, eyes of black onyx flat and without luster, dead and empty. It cannot know fear for it has no will, only a purpose. It wraps around Timat, coil upon counter coil, the fire, frost, vitriol and poisoned breath of her breath turns against the interloper.
"It's breaking!" Lya calls urgently, as a web of cracks races though the ancient stone, as avatar and construction smash into the earth with a titanic crash that dwarfs the sound of the Worm's emergence.
"It's cracking, we don't need to hold it forever, just long enough..." Dany holds the Well of Eternity in her hands.
How do you make use of the Well of Eternity?

OOC: Not going to lie I was hoping I could include the words 'you are Daenerys Targaryen' in this update. I liked the symmetry of echoing Viserys death with something that would leave his body cold and empty, hinging upon a single roll. Fortunately for you guys Viserys passed. Not yet edited.
We can't capture him efficiently instead?-[X] Aegon is killed as quickly and efficiently as possible by our forces. We will take steps to prevent his Resurrection at a later time.
i mean a single shout isn't to hard but i get the point. and wasn't the plan for Dany to use the well of eterniry couse you know symbolismDamn, this was scary, dude! Great chapter, too. We're almost done, y'all.
@Artemis1992, @Crake, I don't think we should be wasting any time on Aegon. We have, at best 30 seconds before the Worm fails and at worst 18 seconds. That's not enough time to do much.
[X] Plan "Get fucked, Tiamat!"
-[X] Aegon is killed as quickly and efficiently as possible by our forces. We will take steps to prevent his Resurrection at a later time.
-[X] Everyone but Viserys retreats behind his Wall of Suppression.
-[X] Viserys uses Miracle to cast Moment of Prescience on himself, Blood Wishes a Surge of Fortune spell, and activates the Well of Eternity in whatever manner is required.
This is going to be amazing to read when it happens.Damn, this was scary, dude! Great chapter, too. We're almost done, y'all.

Dude. He's a cleric of the eighth circle in the presence of his goddess. Let's not take stupid risks. We can't capture him efficiently instead?
Legit question.
All the power Timmie invested in him will get back to her immediately this way. [Greed] Domain is BS.
Even if we drain it right away, it's somewhat inefficient on our side.
Hey, fair is fair, I'm just not sure of what we have in our arsenal spellslots-wise at the moment.Dude. He's a cleric of the eighth circle in the presence of his goddess. Let's not take stupid risks.

In very different far safer circumstances. With Rina we had already won the battle, and more importantly she tried to help us. Now with f!Aegon the battle is still on and he has every reason to want us dead....echoing Snowfire (may his doggo soul rest wherever he may be), we have pulled out a soul from damnation before. We got Rina out of it.
One question is all I ask.
[X] One last chance
-[X] Reach out to Aegon via Teleport, "Blackfyre! Renounce her, then we talk."
-[X] Kill him if he declines
-[X] Proceed with Goldfish's plan with Dany regardless
I really just want to rub it in that we know who he really is...
