That wasn't meant as a joke. Robert might be seriously considering to make a run for it and his options are becoming fewer every day. Sellsword in Essos is out and the Nightwatch would be suicide.

From his perspective, what's there left? The court is filled with nervous people who thought the Lannisters are a safe bet, with everyone else staying away for some inexplicable reason. He doesn't love his kids and hates his wife. His father figure just died. He is estranged from his brothers.

The only one left is Ned and he might be thinking that bringing him to Kings Landing might just result in him too having a very tragic and very unforeseeable accident.

Either this or he is slowly going crazy with hatred in his isolation.

I don't actually see Robert thinking of or being concerned about the bolded. After all, Bloodraven did his best to make Jon Arryn's death look and divine as compeltely natural and in canon he still went to Ned despite the fact that Arryn's death there was 100% more suspicious looking. I'd say the worse his mental state is the more likely it is he reaches out to his best buddy back from the last time of his life he was truely happy most of the time.

Ah. Alright.

I'm still instinctively assuming that dragons won't take "No" for an answer and trading military secrets and rune-crafting is most definitely not happening.

Ancient dragons don't get to ancient by being so easily annoyed.

They could get out with it once they are ancient, though.

"It's not natural, not unless those are the most lucky warriors ever to swim there seas," you interject following her gaze. You have grown more adept at reading living magic not just that which has been carved or poured into shape. "Arcane deflection, inertial dampers. I don't think they call them immortals just because they can regrow a limb given enough time." As the trolls approach however you realize they are not much better protected or armed than the Sea Guard of Vialesk, or the or the retinues of the Marid Emirs, but it is all equipment that can be crafted without skilled smiths, or the fire many of them need to work.

"A variation on living coral," Lya muses almost as though she can hear your thought. In truth it is more learning to look for the same things, the strengths of friend and foe alike. "It's not one likely to catch on beyond the dragon's armies I'll wager even if he is willing to share. That has to be grown in at birth..."
I want this, I want it so much, sure it has to be grown at birth, but it's an actual symbiont, getting it should advance our symbiote research so very much.

Even if the resulting Symbiotes have to be grown at birth, as long as they count as separate creatures, being able to add them to Fungus Forge creatures, would stretch the strength of what we can make a lot.

Given our capabilities and research track, these are likely to be the kind of symbiotes we grow.

Oh, absolutely. We are not going to be trading runecrafting or military secrets here, much less to a dragon that might potentially start raiding us.

Even with Darleth who's providing us a far bigger service, we only put it as a possibility for a future contract.

Fortunately this dragon is only curious.

Sure but any symbiote we get access to, will make our research easier, and these seem like some really good symbiotes, if they don't already have the plant type, we can just give them a plant template, and as they're a separate creature, adding them to any creature we grow shouldn't raise said creatures CR, so I really want these symbiotes, having them will knock points off research costs, and we can use them as they are right away, by simply giving them a plant template.

Also while those symbiotes there are nice, I really want to make plant Voltron, and plant Venom.

We can probably gloat about our curbstomping Mammon. Then off-handedly mention that secret enchanting methods were used to bind the material to task which we won't be selling.

As for the Moonchaser, giving a demonstration of its capabilities seems fine. Whatever they can infer from that isn't anything that someone else couldn't by reading reports on its performance during battles and decent spycraft.

I'd be fine with this, pretty much satisfying his curiosity without spilling state secrets.

As for what to sell him... he says he wants knowledge. Any related fields of study we'd be willing to pawn off?

To be honest, I think we can answer that.
Most of it small enchantments, no big deal to reveal.
The drive, based on several Reverse Gravity spells, is the only thing that's propably not already in a few ships from extraplanar factions.

Still proprietary and the exact way they work would be valuable to anyone who might want to exploit vulnerabilities. As far as necessary retrofits go, updating warding schemes seems like a continuous expenses to replace the usual ones in a setting where you can use magic to repair large battle damage for little to no cost.

There are rituals we'd be willing to trade, though that does need to be pruned so we don't give away important shit.

No trading heart tree rituals, Valyrian steel, runecrafting, etc.

[X] Plan Dragon Diplomacy Part 2
-[X] "Truth be told, Elder One, I had no part in crafting the Moonchaser, or her sister vessels, beyond providing funding and resources, along with encouraging those with the gift of artifice and a skill for innovation." Some explanation of the ship's capabilities are warranted, and maybe a demonstration of it's Steam Cannons, but not it's greatest secrets, such as the anti-gravity propulsion, nor it's defenses.
-[X] Of the cloak we have more to say. "Archduke Mammon of Minauros, the Lord of the Third, thought to challenge me, after taking exception to my attempt to employ a number of Erinyes who no longer wished to remain in his service. His Avatar made an embarrassing showing, after which it's hide was peeled from it's still warm corpse, it's blood, bones, and flesh harvested for experimentation, and its venom extracted for Alchemical preservation." Recount as much of the battle and circumstances as we feel comfortable sharing with Althazi.
--[X] "What you see now, however, is the work of my consort and future queen, Lya the Sage." Briefly introduce Lya and allow her to fly her nerd flag for a bit. She crafted a powerful artifact, after all, and should be proud of herself.

Also.

Viserys: "I'm just here to look pretty and open my wallet."

Lya: "At least he knows his place." 😎
