The gist if it is that we had Littlefinger cause a speculation bubble. Between the usual winter shortages and Robert blocking imports from Essos, food is at a premium right now. Come spring, the embargo will be dropped, harvest ritual fuelled spring harvests dump tons of food on the market, we make it worse by selling dirt cheap grain from our stockpiles and suddenly Westeros will get crippling deflation.Does anyone have the post describing the grain plan? I forget the details.

Side effect is the large amount of food ready to be bought up by the Legion while marching through the continent.
Telling Littlefinger to do it while Varys and Pycelle extole the virtues of such a move?
... that level of cheating is admirable.Telling Littlefinger to do it while Varys and Pycelle extole the virtues of such a move?
It ain't cheating if we are doing it.
Hmm... assuming Planetos has earth gravity and condidering terminal velocity of human bodies...
You also have to take into account the odor which permeates King's Landing. It's so thick and pungent that it probably provides a tangible amount of resistance to large bodies falling from height.Hmm... assuming Planetos has earth gravity and condidering terminal velocity of human bodies...
How high up are the chambers of the Hand again?

Personally, I'm just waiting for news that Robert is missing from court for no reason and a few days later the Inquisition digs up records showing a gentleman called Bobert Raratheon leaving by Terminus to Anun Kelisk, never to be seen again.
I think I mentioned something like this a few months ago. If offered a chance to leave, no strings attached, to go somewhere far away and live his life how he sees fit, there is actually a decent chance Robert might take advantage of the opportunity. That wasn't meant as a joke. Robert might be seriously considering to make a run for it and his options are becoming fewer every day. Sellsword in Essos is out and the Nightwatch would be suicide.
From his perspective, what's there left? The court is filled with nervous people who thought the Lannisters are a safe bet, with everyone else staying away for some inexplicable reason. He doesn't love his kids and hates his wife. His father figure just died. He is estranged from his brothers.
The only one left is Ned and he might be thinking that bringing him to Kings Landing might just result in him too having a very tragic and very unforeseeable accident.
Either this or he is slowly going crazy with hatred in his isolation.
Viserys is also pragmatic enough to consider thd bigger picture. Besides. It would be exile instead of death, not a pardon and a offering of making him a Targ by marriage to Rhealla.Do keep in mind @Azel, that it may be just a mite OOC for Viserys, it was noted multiple times that we absolutely loathe Bobby IC.
You too?You know, months ago I sent DP a dangerous and powerful monster that Deep Ones could have. It was something that was both a terrifying saboteur and infiltrator, as well as a deadly combatant. DP said "oh yeah, I already have that as part of my list of things for the Deep Ones to throw at you".
I expect the war against the Deep Ones to do serious damage to our empire, to kill a pile of our troops and PCs (hopefully not Companions, but who knows...), and maybe to release WMDs and bioweapons all over the place.
... I still am ...You too?
Funny how these things play out.
Azel has given him ideas too.
I wonder if more people did.
I'd like to start the Kobold project at this juncture. We're preparing as best we can. A couple more months to build our forces, not to mention outright grow them, might be enough to help mitigate the effects of a war with the Deep Ones.
This weekend we need to place another large Forge order for the month.
