Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
And once againg I want all the options.

I want to see the drunk and maudling Mathilde.

I want to see the croupier- priest Mathilde.

I want to see Mathilde telling war stories and grumbling about journeymanling foolishness and hearing longbeards grumbling about beardling foolishness in return.

I want to see Mathilde playing with giant wolves without a care in the world and accidentally terrifying an entire knightly order through a simple misunderstanding.

I want to see many more different Mathildes.

Voting is torture, I want to have everything.

Edit: 'have ant farm'?!! What the fuck, autocorrupt?!!

Simple, if you are worried about the Horned Rat doing something through Mathilde then we can get a rough breakdown of what likely needs to occur.

She needs to be acting within the Horned Rat's themes. She needs to be in a holy place of him. And she needs to be the best agent through which for him to enact his will. That's a pretty specific thing that basically requires you don't send Mathilde on top of a Screaming Bell.
So you're saying this is the vote we need to steal more god juice?

... but we are not, we are a highly paranoid magic spy who has kept secrets from all her friends for years (decades even) and has gotten burned not that long ago? are you really saying he is a closer friend then Anton?

... my problem is not 'consequences and rationalisations RATIONALLY and LOGICALLY with FACTS.' its characterisation. this is not how she was raised, it's not how she was trained, it's not her religious believes, it's not how she has acted up too this point.

SV: I like Dwarfs, so now we are super open about things and secrecy is bad.

I'm saying that Belegar is our friend, and that that actually matters. He's not some political actor, or the dwarfs as a whole, he's the guy who's got our back, just as we've got his. I'm not going into this with the mindset of some middle class forum nerd thinking of consequences and rationalisations RATIONALLY and LOGICALLY with FACTS, but as a normal person who's trusting someone with something dear.

Just because someone's your friend doesn't mean you tell them the pin number to your bank card as well as your bank details, your social security number, your date of birth, your mother's maiden name, a signed confession every bad or questionable thing you've ever done, along with what your partner acts like in bed in a neat dossier.

That's not because you distrust them or want to manipulate them, it's because the small but real risk isn't worth the zero reward of doing so.

[X] Tell Belegar and Kragg.

I don't know if it's realavent, so I'm going to error on the side of not possible holding back important information to two very trustworthy dwarfs.

The idea they would fly off the handle is to me somewhat baseless.

I feel like this might be important to know, because i feel that Mork has not forgiven us for this yet. Do remember that one possible outcome of interrupting the ritual was "all Greenskins get Hatred: Mathilde", and even if that did not occur, it still illustrates the general level of hostility Mork has against us, personally, and being denied his revenge by the failure of the Waaaagh against the Dwarves yesterday will only further pin his malevolent attention to Karak Eight Peaks.

Belegar and Kragg need to know, because it is extremely likely that the number and power of the greenskin hordes we will face tomorrow will outstrip even the worst case scenario that common Dwarven wisdom expects, as Mork makes his displeasure known in the only way a greenskin god knows. They have to plan for an absolutely FUBAR response to the attack on the Citadel.

I dunno. Maybe you have a point with the above, but it still does feel like relitigating an issue and that's always frustrating. Maybe there was no fully satisfying way to do this.

I think it's safe to say that I spend more time monitoring the thread than most, so trust that when I call for an encore of a given debate, it's after I've tried and failed to find a satisfactory alternative.

Honestly, I don't really care what activities we do, given it'll be fun regardless.

It's a trend I've noticed in quests to hate the idea that you shouldn't immediately tell anyone that has been put in the 'friend' category everything. The very concept of need to know is something people can't stand, even if they're playing an espionage specced character or someone with critically important secrets.

It's always presented as manipulation or not trusting them, as if trust was a binary thing rather than a question of kind and degree. Just because you can trust someone with your life on the battlefield doesn't mean you can't trust them with a secret. They're simply different categories of trust.

We already told them about pissing off Mork. That was part of what we voted to do in the last update. This vote is to give them compromising and dangerous information on top of that which is irrelevant to the current situation. This is what we voted for last time:

[*] The death of the Warboss, the shattering of an Almost-Rogue Idol, and the weakening of Mork.

Is it? We are talking about a girl who reported to her superior that she is blackmailed by parties unknown and has been swindling the said superior for years.

For all her love of secrets and secrecy, she takes her professional obligations very fucking seriously and has been known, more than once, to report to her count things which could very well harm her. Giving that Belegar is currently being neatly slotted into the same role in her mind, i can actually see her once again adopting the full transparency policy.

Kittybirds are a combination of two creatures. One is extremely vocal, likes to push objects from high places, can be alternatively and unpredictably affectionate and violent, and has a strong independent streak. The other is extremely vocal, likes to push objects from high places, can be alternatively and unpredictably affectionate and violent, and... uh...

Joking aside, temperamentally they're much more kitty than bird.

Her professional obligation is to the Empire and to the Grey College not to risk severely screwing up dwarf relations. What people are suggesting is literally the opposite of her job as a member of the diplomat college.

Are you actually trying to undermine that Mathilde just tried to get into her arrogant skull here? People caring about her too much to hammer this lesson home seems to be part of the root of her problem.

Panoramia doesn't need a peace offering. She needs to be given a good long time to contemplate her screw up and resolve not to do it again.

No we did not tell them about pissing off Mork. We told them that we destroyed the idol to Gork, and that the power Mork invested himself into stopping the idol to Gork was "perhaps permanently" lost when the Idol was destroyed. That is enough to cause a short term tantrum on his part, but what we actually did - the thievery, the gall to use cunning against the god of cunning himself - has almost certainly sparked a grudge. They will expect that Mork will go back to his usual indifferent ways because there is nothing he can pin this loss on. But i can almost guarantee that he won't. Do remember, Hatred: Mathilde. All Green Skins. In the World.

I think saying this will hurt Empire/Dwarf relations is a bit much. They aren't declaring a grudge over us telling them this.

You know, considering we've already talked about Mork, and how Mathilde handled it smooth as silk, I think at this point we might as well hedge our bets and stay silent.
