[x] You are a faithful of Ranald, being in the right place at the right time to unbalance the scales. Try to steal the energies.

This is a horrible idea and couldn't possibly end well for anyone involved.

I'm so in~

Skarsnik and likely Grimgor as well, as he's probably the most likely to be the chosen of Only-Gork
We might have stopped any Chosen-being for him, but he'll propably still be one of the most brutal lads ever.
Maybe even more cunnin' than before?

Please, please, PLEASE tell me you have good logic behind Ranald people. I'm as much for an awesome accomplishment as anyone else but I don't want to needlessly die for it.

[X] You are a Magister of the Grey Order, and follow the traditions laid down by Teclis and Magnus the Pious. Try to ground the energies.

We need good reasoning more than greed. Please, tell me you at least have reasoning and thought and not just ambition if you vote for Ranald, that's all I ask.
I pick it because its a gamble, and when the chips are down in a magical catastrophe praying for the dice to come up sixes is largely one of the few things one can do.

Basically, when things get this bad you have to reach out to beings and things beyond yourself. When you're down in a fox hole all alone and the Waaagh comes screaming for your skin, pray to Ranald.

The reasons as far as I can see (though I've yet to vote myself) are this:
-The description of what we've just done pretty perfectly fits the narrative of "Follower of Ranald", so there's an argument that this option actually has one of the higher chances for success from that narrative weight.
-Giving the Energy to Ranald seems like one of the better ways to make sure they don't go haywire and do Unhappy Things to Karag Nar. As someone said earlier, Belegar probably doesn't want to be known as King of Karak Seven-and-a-half Peaks.

So either Ranald or Dwarf, because outright neutralizing/destroying the energies would also probably preserve Karag Nar (I hope.)

[X] You are Dwarf-friend and you bear upon your person a masterpiece developed by the oldest and wisest Runepriest of the Karaz Ankor. Try to destroy the energies.

Never forget, the Gods are fickle, and none so more than the literal God of Gambling. This can go wrong in many, many horrible ways. So I'll vote for a more 'boring' option, but one I find less risky than trying to steal powers from an Orc god.
That likely is the safety option, which is actually a reason I don't want to take it. I like a Mathilde who takes risks.

My motivation isn't greed. I really enjoy when Mathilde gets up to crazy things, and I wanna encourage it.

Anybody want to speculate what the other options are?

I actually feel a smidgin of pitty for the Ork gods. Nice work.

We're still stealing their socks though. It's only fair.

I feel like Ranald might have some synergy with dealing with the fallout of a god of Cunning and tbh this option just sounds fun.

Honestly? It's the best place to put the energy. It's representative of cunning, destroying it would probably ruin Kragg's shiny (and I like that shiny), grounding it seems like a waste, and I DON'T want to test our chances just surviving it. The less said about the Mork option, the better.

If we can send this raw power Ranald's way, he'll be able to find a use for it beyond what we could ever hope to dream of, and probably get a much safer boon in the process.

Also, I can't speak to the RNG, but this kinda feels like a moment where, thematically, our faith would be rewarded? The last time we desperately needed Ranald's aid, he couldn't help us. Having our belief vindicated this time would be a nice bookend to Van Hal's death and a good place for Mathilde to start moving on.

It FEELS right.

The only exception is Panoramia, who you press to repeat her earlier magics with the Black Lotus seeds. She's not exactly happy with being sidelined for the battle, but she obeys, and as night falls the first blossom is near harvesting
Feels bad for ruining Panoramia's day. We should give her a gift to make up for it.

Ranald isn't just the Trickster, he's the Protector. let's rely on him a little.
