Damn, the Orphne lord is a really good pick too, showing him precent for peaceful incorporation into our existing structure.
I still think Hermetia should be there, unless we plan on making the market a more general thing than Lys, we would be directly undermining her authority in supernatural affairs if we make any deal for city without her.

[X] Bring Hermetia and the Orphne Lord, and meet with the Horned Lord under the branches of Great Heart Tree of Lys.

I think Malarys, as an expert on mortal law within the Imperium, and the Orphne Lord, as the closest Fey equivalent, is a bit more appropriate.
Yeah, but Hermetia has more reason to be there is we are going to discuss any deal.
I think meeting Malarys can wait for when we sign a proper contract instead of just laying the groundwork.

Edit: I know this is heresy, but I think we should do a tiered choice vote.

[X] Bring: Hermetia
[X] Bring: Orphne Lord
[X] Meet at: Heart Tree of Lys

I am also torn on the attendees, I fully support Heart Tree as location.

I might change my mind on who's going later but atm this is how I think it should go.

I think Malarys and Glyra are better personally. More Contrast, more familiarity, and they get to keep their hand in resolving things.

Also the Orphene has a kingdom/buisness to run. We shouldn't be using him as a manservant.

He is coming to negotiate another Fey Lord bending the knee and joining the empire.
That is not only an honor, it will make a great story, he could grow to be our Fey embassador.

Glyra is good for infiltration, or negotiations if we're trying to antagonize the other party.

The Orphne King on the other hand is far more stately and useful in negotiations.

Shes good with chaotic Fey, but I digress. Fair enough all.
Yeah, she does make for an excellent Fey wrangler.

That said @Goldfish, I do agree that we should bring Hermetia as well. She's ruling Lys in our name, and moreover she did ask to be involved in this whole thing. It's definitely something she should be taken along for since she and the Hooded Lord will likely be working as closely together as Alysande Redsail and the Orphne King do now in Braavos.

Re: Arcanist, it has one of the best casting mechanics I've ever seen (Only Beguiler/Warmage beats it), along with burning slots for more class features and effectively getting feats (and at your choice, actual feats) from a rather amazing selection each other level.

Stuff like counterspelling as an immediate action complete with the partial recharge Mel does, scaling teleport as move, sucking magic from items and people to replace its own, casually boosting the DC or CL by 2 of anything they cast, learn how to cast any spell (on their spell list) that hits them and yet many more.

You will identify some of the above as what @Goldfish prioritized for the main party and beyond.

Its casting progression is one level lower than Wizards, much like Sorcerers. And Blood Arcanist does effectively replace Sorcerer unless you went serious cheese with the latter, like Crossblooded/Razmir False Priest. Or care to be CHA based.

Wait, is meeting a fey lord right underneath the gaze of the old gods a good idea? Even setting aside the fey's thing about gods, we do messy science to our enemies right beneath it. This is almost literally asking him to meet on top of a pile of things we've killed. He could reasonably interpret this as meeting over the mass grave we plan to bury him in after mutilating his corpse.

Neat trick with giant slaying tiny crossbow, makes me want to make a team of assassins made of sprites and other tiny creatures with similar gear.

The Old Gods are actually really close to Fey (see the Children of the Forest). As for the Fungus Forge, I think that's reaching. Unless the Hooded Lord comes there with hostile intent I don't think he'd come with an attitude of "Am I next?"

Or, this could also mean that if he were to try anything funky at all, he would know where his next resting place will be. Down there, being cutted open for grafting material and have his soul ripped out for snack.

A show of strength is a casual thing for a Drakk (ie. Dragon).

... or, he would just spout out some more Fey bullshit, saying about the 'Seven Lies of Fate needs to realign at THIS specific PLACE'

—if so, THEN we kill him

[X] Goldfish
Can't we also send our people to hunt down those Ymeri's agents and/or Fey hubters?
They may just run when they learn that we met the Hooded Lord.

Shadow Weave Magic, Insidious Magic, Tenacious Magic,
That's how it was supposed to work against the companions.
Any attempt to see through his Illusions with True Seeing or similar abilities as well as attempts to notice them with Arcane Sight would have taken a caster-level check and to Dispel them would have been very difficult relative to his level.
Especially Truesight from items, cast at minimal CL would have been fooled easily.

Of course that was all designed against people who are not Viserys and can use Wild Arcana'ed Chain Dispels.

Still, outside of deception he wasn't a great threat, nothing in his arsenal could have hurt the Herald for example.
