:/

You guys are risking the Clockwork Heart of the City.
And any and all most important relics and lore buried down there.

That's, shit, that's the sort of unique lore we won't get anywhere else, and...

Ugh, this feels overly cautious, and downright inefficient.
I'm sure we can take whatever's down there, and "time=loot" very much here.

With loot being much more than mere bling - it's infrastructure we have to save here, the home for Riz'neth and his serpentfolk.

EDIT: Aaaand, DP'd.
I deserved that, I suppose.

I'm going to say something that is probably not all that great for immersion but needs to be said regardless. I would never punish you guys for taking the time to engage with the story, that is the point of a dungeon to me, to tell the tale of the people who built it as the PCs reflect upon it in their own ways and maybe grow and change along their own arcs.
In light of this, along with the warning that we should probably get some idea of what's going on before we poke further, let's do some investigating?

Also @DragonParadox, any chance of us finding some nice Fighter Serpentfolk in the other six cities?

[X] Try to find the graves of some of those you have seen within the necropolis, the bones might help fill in the gaps in the tale
-[X] Any of the council members you've seen in the flickering image, along with any other skulls from around that time period to help fill the gaps.
-[X] While this is happening, Lya should try to pry more information from the light projectors.
--[X] Leave Ser Richard to guard her just in case anything tries to attack her.

Don't worry. I'll take it as a compliment for my ability to build tension. Just making something clear about my GM-ing style.

@DragonParadox, so how advanced are these light projections? How are they in comparison to Saenena's mirror in terms of making recordings? Do we know how they were made? How much progress to reverse-engineer it in the future?

I give Spider Man: Far From Home eight spider-flippers up! Good stuff!

As for the latest chapter, I think the "Great Net" was meant to act like a magic condenser so that the Serpent Folk could create a high magic incubator for their eggs to insure they were all born sapient.

[X] Viserys uses Wild Arcana to duplicate a Vision spell targeting the council chamber. He Blood Wishes a Spell Enhancer spell in conjunction with canceling a previously cast Moment of Greatness spell while Lya maintains a Harmonic Chorus spell on him, raising the effective caster level of the Vision spell to 27th.
-[X] As part of casting the Vision spell, Viserys seeks to learn what the Great Net was, how it relates to the arcane mechanisms at the heart of the Necropolis, and if possible, its current status.
--[X] Depending on what we learn, we will decide on how to proceed.

Probably best to include what you want to do after that since that is not going to answer all your questions even with the best posibile roll, there is simply too much momentous that has happened here to only get he stuff at the end.

Is this an acceptable update to the plan?

Sure, it will make for relatively short update, but that is fair. Adventuring updates are always shorter than kingdom-building or social ones.

Yeah, decision making gets a bit more granular when we're adventuring.
