9 Fey Lord Inquisitors....that is the opposite of a problem. They gotta swear oaths of loyalty to us and the realm anyway. This just makes it even more strict. Heh, Story obsessed Immortals.

Also anyone wanna try enticing more of the gremlins to take the Glyra treatment later? We got Archons on tap and more have to be interested in a newly forming Gremlin Court?

Maybe fold in three Fey Lords and their retinues now, then add another every three to six months? That's basically the blink of an eye for an immortal Fey, but should give the Inquisition plenty of time to finish establishing itself before being overwhelmed by Fey members.
...Have Shadow Fey we include now bound by territory so that they don't get to overlap their influence?

We have enough territory now to settle them that way, for sure.

If not enough enough territory there is always case type. One hunts demons, another devil plots another deep one influence, some even darker Fey. And so on. Story those Fey into department roles.

How's this for a gradual integration?

[X] Accept the deal (Gain 9 Fey Lord inquisitors with their own retinues, your previous offer is otherwise accepted in full besides the gold), but with the following caveat;
-[X] "A span of months might as well be the blink of an eye for the immortal Fey, and even the passage of years might pass like a pleasant afternoon beneath the shaded canopy of an old oak tree. It is not so for humanity, whose time is limited and thus spent so much more frenetically. We do not wish the Inquisition, a new organization which is still in the process of establishing itself, to be overwhelmed by an infusion of Fey manners and customs before it can fully develop its own."
--[X] Accept three Fey Lords and their retinues into the Inquisition now, their King included, then accept another every four months. In just two years, all nine of the Fey Lords would be integrated into the Inquisition.

I'm inclined to accept the deal, ya'll. The Orphne Court is pretty chill as far as Fey go, and they've dealt fairly and consistently with Braavos for years now.

If there is concern about them overwhelming the young Inquisition, we could always gradually introduce them, adding one or two Fey Lords and their retinues every few months? Maybe while keeping the others available for special missions?

I agree. I like the Orphne court. And this deal seems reasonable enough to me. I assume the Orphne King is hoping to grow his power by becoming a part of the tales that are told about the inquisition. People already talk about Garin like he's some sort of demonic Entity. The Secret Service of an Emperor will always be shrouded in mystery and there'll be a plethora of tales told about its members. It's also smart of him to want to entrench himself within one of our most important institutions. At the same time, that'll give him all the motivation he needs to stay loyal to the Empire. The further it grows the more the tales about the inquisition will spread. It's so clever that I'm a bit annoyed that I didn't think of it myself yesterday.

Would they be useful for the inquisition in the Reach when we operate there, as a counter to the reach-fey.

Yes and no, one the one hand they would be particularly adept at working against the Court of Stars but on the other old grudges would make it more likely for the court to react with hostility. Whether that is a trade off you want to make is up to you guys.

Tentatively, I'm okay with this...

But it feels kinda wrong for this to be decided without Malarys and/or Garin's insight on the matter.
Inquisition is wholly their work, and... Well, this sort of decision should be made with them knowing beforehand, imo.

And we'd have to double-time on setting up Inquisition as monolithic entity from now on, too...

It's really easy to work around. Just have Garin assign these new Inquisitors to Essos and have others poke at the Court of Stars.

Keep in mind they infiltrated and almost took over the Silver Eye.
This is not harmless.

On the other hand, Nine Shadows to send on important missions is a vital step for our Evil Overlord image. All Sauron did, we can do better.

Well, I thought we could offer the inquisition job in the last vote so I'm all for it.
I'm totally against a rival institution, we see where that leads to in our actual reality.

We might have to add something that stops the inquisition or other organs of the imperial body to become monopolized by immortals by dint of accrued experience and outliving the mayflies.

Well he would not sell all of them, but he would be willing to trade up to half of them for a flying mount up to his standard or a impressive and storied lance
When I asked earlier you said those 16 horses were explicitly what he was willing to sell, while keeping the rest for him and his court.

That said, the flying mount is going to be used to purchase our shadow, so a storied lance it is.

Where on earth are we going to find a storied lance? I don't think there's a single one in ASOIAF.
Didn't we promise to organize him a shadow dragon?
We promised him either a shadow dragon or a construct/plant mount of suitable impressiveness.
