He does not need to use the Crown immediately, or even at all. Even possessing such has the Court of Stars over a barrel. And I bet he has a far better idea than us in regards to leveraging or consuming the thing.
...we can jsut ask him what ideas he has once he's sworn to us :V
Far less problems of him getting a power-boost from it, yes?

I'm in the middle of making a plan, but I'll drop in to say @egoo that I am very much against this.

I believe some level of conflict is probably going to happen. I don't want it right this second, though. We're too busy for the next few months.
Oh, don't worry so much.
Like I said, we're not touching the crown for a while (from sheer amount of more prioritised research, if nothing else), and I'm quite unwilling to do anything with it before that either.
2-4 months is my estimate for an RA being maybe free for it. Maybe.

[X] Vassalization Offer
-[X] OOC: Frame our offer to the Orphne Court as an opportunity to bind their story to our own, to the rise of the Imperium, and to its continued prosperity.
--[X] OOC: The Court of Shadows is new, as Fey Courts go, just as the Imperium is a new nation upon the Plane of Balance. Both are made up of much older beings/institutions/cities, but together they form something new and truly worthy of their tales.
-[X] We Offer:
--[X] Offer monetary aid on any of their current projects (within reason (hard cap of ~25,000 IM), and with the understanding that said aid may be delayed for a few months until we get the funds needed, though if it's 15,000 IM or less it can be given immediately).
--[X] 500 lbs. of Adamantine to use as they please (which we can fabricate for them as a finishing touch of this gift)
--[X] Five of Irony's half-gorgon offspring gifted to them so long as they promise they will be well cared for
--[X] Access to the Shadow Tower (provided the rules set by Lya and Teana are followed)
--[X] Access to the full library of lore that other vassals are granted access to (not runecrafting, Lya's soul-lore, or Heart Tree rituals, those three are very much a case-by-case basis), though we request lore on the Fey and Feywild in turn.
--[X] Full access to Sorcerer's Deep and thus the Terminus to markets in the Plane of Earth and the Plane of Air.
--[X] Recognition for the fey of the Orphne Court as mages of the Imperium with the benefits that entail (but also the responsibilities)
--[X] Eventually when our enchanters can manage, offer to craft the Orphne King a full set of gear (possibly months away, but still a notable offer)
--[X] The right to call on Viserys or the Companions if there is any dire emergency
-[X] We Ask
--[X] The same terms given to Moonsong -- vassalization for as long as the Imperium stands
--[X] Our laws are always to be heeded and followed.
--[X] The Orphne King continues to pass intel to us, just as he learned of the Court of Stars, though at a more accelerated pace, doing away with the payment of intel for intel. In return he will be kept up to date on all important things we learn which we share with our other vassals.
---[X] They will be asked to work closely with Garin and the Inquisition, as well as Alysande and the Silver Eye, along with cooperating with Imperial Officials in general.
---[X] OOC: While they will be expected to uphold the responsibilities of any vassal, including taxes whatever form they take, it should be kept in mind that they can in turn expect all the rights and rewards of being vassals (protection, aid in infrastructure, freedom of movement in the Imperium, etc).
--[X] What aid they can give in future wars as we expect of all our vassals (we ask out of necessity -- the coming wars are a matter of survival and we need to stand as one)
---[X] Promise you won't be needlessly reckless with their lives, but nonetheless they will be asked to do dangerous things.
-[X] Maidenpool Vote
--[X] Tyene will observe the pair of Golden Shield agents from afar, perusing their thoughts using Brain Spider. She will seek to learn all she can of the agents themselves, what kind of magic they possess and how powerful it is, and what their true mission here in Maidenpool is.

Overall I believe this is a very good deal for them.

I'm iffy on the phrasing of "we ask" part, but whatever, I'm, once again, not up to doing legalise stuff.

We're gently coaxing them into vassalizing. With Westerosi on the other hand we're in a better position to go "We demand ___."

The Westerosi being referenced, of course, being those who stood against the Targaryens. There are plenty of awesome Westerosi, like the Brunes. God I love that House.

Perhaps a lump sum of treasure to help pay for whatever infrastructure they might wish for (15,000 IM was around what we gave the new governor of Sallosh for example).

--[X] 15,000 IM to use however they please
Keep in mind they have been working with the Iron Bank since the first days of contact. They got lots of cash.

Maybe make a more tenative question if they could use money or other support.
Or even more indirectly if they have any projects planned?

Changed to this:

@Duesal I don't think mudane genetics is all there is to it, in regards to taking Dragon-Blooded. We know lineages are important, and that there is a metaphysical weight to many things, as is readily proven by runecrafting and the entire Mythic system.

So, while Sae is probably technically purer valyrian than Viserys and Dany, the latter have the weight of being Targaryens.

I still disagree with Talon tho, Sae was doing research in exactly this, and halfway succeeded. Hundreds of years fused with her bonded dragon, living in the magically radioactive valyrian heartlands is more than enough to give weight to her legend. Viserys should be able to guide her through it.

For example, I don't think Relath's Half-Dragon babies should really qualify, or generally be able to take it. No real weight to it at this point.

I know DP closed the argument, just making my point.

I'm not sure it would even make mechanical sense for a half dragon.
Most of the benefits of the class are intrinsic to them from birth.

This class is more fitting for someone rediscovering his legacy.
Or I guess for 15 great Sorcerers striving to surpass their slavers and becoming greater than the True Dragon. There it works as well.

Yeah, the class doesn't really work when you're already a half-dragon. Until you get to Draconic Ascension it's nine levels of "unlocking" things you already have. It just doesn't work narratively.

If someone who already is a halfdragon wants to go True Dragon it should propably take some serious characterlevels and a great ritual or something like that.

Though even that would have to be handled carefully to avoid abuse by rule-laywers.

As a side don't forget that we owe the good king a mount of CR 15 strength I believe? I know it has nothing to do with the vote but I'm saying now so we don't forget

CR 15ish or just toss him a Shadow Dragon egg when we eventually get one (looking at you, Tiamat). He gave us literal decades to do this, so we should be good.
Of all the things I hate about the fey their age and way of looking at time is not one of them. Well at least when it isn't screwing us.

Edit: don't sell yourself into their service for "a reasonable time"

Hang on, the fey are all about stories yes? This deal we're proposing to them, it doesn't really fit any classical story themes, it's just what we'd propose to a rational trade partner who's interested in mutually beneficial agreements. But while we are offering them quite a few things they'd probably like, this whole deal doesn't really make for a good story. According to classical themes, for them to become our vassals we'd either have to dramatically beat them or dramatically save them from something first. How about we challenge the Orphne King to a Duel again? Winner gets a Carte Blanche, or a Century of service or something like that. And after we win we propose your deal?

...if we gain the vassalage of the Orphene, doesn't this mean we gain the services of the gremlins so nasty other normal gremlins hate them?

...when are we sending them to the Westerlands:drevil:
