It would, however, win us the war even if he throws enough of shit to break Stepstones at us.

That's kind of my point though. Before the Tiamat trap I'd assume he'd throw enough to destroy the Stepstones, after the trap I'd assume he'd throw enough at us to burn Westeros to the bedrock.

Less his intent and more the level of threat he would assign us. A random mortal getting uppity is one thing, the guy who successfully mugged an ancient dragon deity is quite another.

Probably not no. We're bullshit but they are too and they've spent the last few millennia on war footing at minimum to boot.

We could get the drop on one, maybe two if we're stupidly lucky, but the rest would swarm us like army ants.
No i ment the golden company. Attacking the devils would be sucide.
Their main commanders are either in fortress on Shadow Plane (which is a CR-relevant chain of encounters. So, very difficult thing to assault jsut like that).
The ground forces... these guys are problematic in the fact that they spread Timmie's cult, and can't be allowed to live because of that. Remember, all the moderated we already killed when we faced them "exiled" away from main forces.

Losing ground forces would hurt Timmie's plans in economic way too, but it won't deal with the biggest trouble - her clerics, wizards, and F!Aegon themselves, a very real Champion of Bitch Queen, one very capable of restoring the cult if left alone.

Also, Dragons.
Including that Shadow Dragon we got her ourselves.
I mean i get that. But we do need to get into some good fights. We havent had some good fights in ages.

Easier on our allies, then.
It's a win-win for us, as far as I'm concerned.
We are at war, remember. And not as the ones leading it, but as but an ally. Some sacrifices have to be made.

Also, we still have Yss, Merling King, and Old Gods to call upon at the very least.
Probably Storm God by that point as well.

We'll manage, I think.
After all, we are likely to ourtight hire that Adamantine dragon on PoF (Darleth the Delver) that specialises on reinforicng this position fortification and siege next month...

Vote tally. The vote is not closed I just wanted to see the winning plan.
Adhoc vote count started by DragonParadox on Jun 2, 2019 at 4:10 AM, finished with 318380 posts and 7 votes.

  • [X] Plan "Nothing to see here..."
-[X] We will venture to the Court of Travelers. Of all the places we might best find our footing in Heaven's Shore, a market that caters to travelers and traders seems most promising. We still know far too little of the lay of the land to seek out more interesting locales.
-[X] Greet the Devils respectfully, as befits their duty, then use the full weight of Viserys' Knowledge(The Planes) and his social acumen to navigate the encounter with an aim toward minimizing suspicion as best we can and without making ourselves any more memorable than necessary.
--[X] If questioned about our intentions, we are headed to the Court of Travelers, where we intend to peruse the markets and speak with the established traders. We often act as traders ourselves, as opportunities present themselves, and we're always on the lookout for a bit of profit.
--[X] Give false names and backgrounds, if necessary, but not complex ones. The Devils shouldn't expect honesty here, but they might be suspicious if we are too willing to share with them.
--[X] We have acquired the services of a Lantern Archon familiar with the area to act as a guide on our visit.
-[X] Viserys and Dany will all be disguised via Cloak of Khyber augmented glamours, altering their general appearances. Viserys' cloak will be most carefully disguised so as to not rouse suspicion.

Oh, that changes things. Wonder if he'd be willing to give some samples for science if we paid him enough?

No, no, no dissecting potential allies for resources. Have to remind myself every now and again.

@Goldfish
Not convinced here.

Traders with our power?
And then prefering to trade with the shattered remains of heaven (high risk, low profit) instead of going to safer and more profitable locations (Genie-cities, Dis, Axis, whatever)?
We have an Erynies and two Celestials with us.

There are relatively few votes and there did not seem to be a lot of discussion on the vote proper. I think it's best to leave it up for now.
...More interludes, then?
If nothing else, we have these to go through yet:
[X] MirrorVision Killed the Playwright... Then Performed Necromancy On Him: Part I.
-[X] We have Azema, Rhaella, Tyene and Teana put their heads together, to do some, well, headhunting, basically.
--[X] Azema will go to each and every Free City we have strong ties with hunting through all the Playhouses, all the street shows and the like, looking for hidden gems and famous mummers to form a new social elite: Actors. She will also spearhead formation of an Actor's Guild, leaning on some of our administrative and legislative people for assistance.
--[X] Rhaella will search for the most talented musicians to help with the acquisition of talented musicians and composers who can provide accompanying music, and perhaps among them some who have studied sound and could do many aesthetically pleasing things with it using magic that would ordinarily be out of their reach, for aesthetic purposes.
--[X] Tyene will acquire the services of many famous brands to help provide costumes for productions, as a form of advertising and perhaps even partnership with her and Viserys' enterprise.
--[X] Teana will be able to provide consultation, both in general matters for the aesthetic of the productions, but also and especially for the one focused on magical academics.
---[X] MirrorVision Killed the Playwright... Then Performed Necromancy On Him: Part II
---[X] A Production Company will be made and folded into Red Scales Holding, Name TBD.
----[X] Three concurrent "productions" will be created for the purpose of regular broadcasting across the Imperium (and affiliated soon-to-be-annexed provinces), beginning in the writing phase, undergoing numerous revisions and leaning on all the available resources, researchers, educators and proofreaders that Azema can provide through us. Furthermore, sets will be constructed, determined to be modular or purpose-made depending on the needs of the performance. Depending on the circumstance and as an example, creative uses of environment like the recent play using a real sinking ship for authenticity will be considered.
--[X] Titles Placeholding

---[X] Dictates & Divinations - A production following interrelated yet separate character arcs set in Sorcerer's Deep or outlying lands in the Three Daughters territory (for availability and constraints). It will follow a Lawmen department responsible for investigating the burgeoning, elaborate and sometimes dangerous smuggling trade, featuring characters that range from the cut-throat and cunning to the colorful and sympathetic on both sides. An Advocate pursuing justice for and against different high profile figures involved in trade enterprise with the eastern fringes of the growing Empire, where magic is strong, and the wild frontier where dark artifacts might be recovered. And finally an Investigator searching high and low for the most illegal contraband of all: a certain missing egg, caught in the middle of a quiet struggle between different interests.
---[X] Chainbreakers - The story of a company of daring Outriders serving in the Legion, freeing slaves, fighting evildoers and slaying monsters with pluck, courage and a bit of grit. Braavosi flamboyance in abundance, here. This is lighter, softer and perhaps more blatantly propaganda. While no outright lies are being told, it does take more than several fistfuls of artistic liberty and runs wild with it.
---[X] Arcane Thesis - This show struggles hard to remain as accurate as possible when in classroom setting. Any ritual or spell knowledge which could be seriously dangerous is essentially useless to a amateur cultist or unregistered/unsupervised mage. It follows the advancement of a talented but naive young mage who moved to the Deep to deepen their craft and perhaps gain the attention of an experienced master to apprentice under, swept up in life in the Scholarium, both academic struggles, romance, intrigue and cut-throat politics, with some action thrown in where appropriate. The conception of "stunt doubles" using mages and Disguise Ribbons for use of real magic during such scenes (to say nothing of special effects) will certainly see its beginnings here, and likely feature heavily in the other two for similar purposes.
--[X] Several new lines sets of figurines will be made with the shows airing, most prominent being a set of custom Chainbreakers models.
[X] The strange artifact you have oblidged to solve the mystery of for Faceless men is much of a mystery. But perhaps, the powerful mages and entities you are in contact with could provide some clues?
-[X] Ask the Blink Dogs in your employ. If anyone can tell you anything related to stars and their movements, that'd be them.
-[X] Ask Zherys, his mystical knowledge, experience, and access to Volantine archives might hold an answer.
-[X] Ask Melisande, her experience and knowledge of shadow-magic could hold a clue.
-[X] Ask Xor and Jeyne if they feel anything Psionic/aberration-related about the thing.
-[X] Ask Yrael and other Archons, sepcifically the knowledge archons.
-[X] Ask Erynies, in case the thing is connected to diabolical or celestial sources.
-[X] Ask Shadow!Tor, if anything about it bears resemblance to things of Asshai-within-shadow.
-[X] Quickly shuffle through Codex-Uniila with appropriate spells, seeking patterns like those on the artifact, or things of similar nature within her memory, to, hopefully, understand its nature better.
-[X] Ask the ghosts of Essarian scholars if they know anything about this.
-[X] Ask Rizz'Neth if anything about the enchantment seems familiar to him.
-[X] If nothing else works, ask the most experienced of Bulabar in your employ take a non-invasive look at it and it's mechanism, helped by (and, if needed, held at bay by) magic of a suitable Companion.
-[X] (Grey means that Blink Dogs are the priority choice since we've been told this artifact is closely connected to stars and their movement)
[X] Now, that the immediate threat of Mammon's agents in Westeros is taken care of, it's time to deal with those you might actually turn to a good cause yet.
-[X] Summon and diplomance/Larder the Erynies you've learned the true names of from Brachina (17 names available) and Uniila (3 names avaliable).
-[X] Attempt to sway the Falxugon that showed great cunning in evading you in Whitehabor.

...Or, you can write up these, we haven't gotten report on those yet, have we?
-[X] Shella Went, last of her line, of Harrenhall
--[X] Take a dive in the Gods Eye to locate the corpses of the dragons who died there during the Dance.
--[X] Speak with the Green Men.

A lot of those require Viserys, but I could do the plays certainly. Meanwhile I have to ask you guys, what precisely do you guys want to say to the Green Men? Because with Bloodraven on mental call I can't really think of anything you would need to say to them directly.

I guess what they are doing and have been doing?
Also if there are any serious casters among them and if the need anything.

If Bloodraven can answer all that that's fine too.

Dude, what kind of traders do you think travel to and from Hellven? I would be surprised if there's one of them less than 10th level.

This isn't Intro to Planar Adventuring 101, Molten Skies edition.

At our level, we could conceivably trade in fabulous treasures, world shaking secrets, the souls of our enemies, the deaths of someone else's enemies, etc. It's not like it resource intensive to simply Plane Shift to this blasted pit. It's just dangerous for the unprepared.

What would be a better excuse?

To be fair, that your Shadow Steeds can fly means you need at least one 12th level caster and the wastelands of Heaven are not exactly an area for low-level adventurers getting their feet wet.

Plan updated slightly. @Azel, @DragonParadox, do either Viserys or Mereth think this would sound suspicious, or more suspicious than normal at least, from a guard Devil's POV?

Updated sections are red and underlined.

---[X] If pressed, admit that much of the reason for our visit is simple curiosity, to see the shattered remnants of Heaven, though we really do intend to conduct some trade while we're here.
