Eurgh. Distasteful coin, why couldn't they take glass sceptres?
Unfortunately for us the devils rule here, so Great Brass Seals are the best we've got.
Maybe in a couple months we can do that. Does divination work in the dreamlands? Finding them through that would be interesting.
I don't see why it shouldn't work. But this isn't something we can do soon, to be honest. There's far too much to be done in the real world in the next six months much less next month.

For example, even now, we have to conquer Pentos almost immediately after we go home (though before that I want to grow Yrael a Heart Tree with a Dawn Fruit godswood, and I want to toss an Abishai at Yss).

One thing that could fix this, though -- find or make somehow at least one minion in the Dreamlands, preferably a quick and intelligent one of medium strength, and have it serve as our scout therein. I'm hoping to have something like that fetch new subordinates for us.

We could have Dany find such a creature though she will also be busy in the coming months with everything that is about to happen. We could make one dream creature but that would require us hunting down something with that template. Or we could straight send one of our own allies to said realm via Dany and have them work their magic. Someone of sufficient strength and diplomacy prowess to recruit.

I wonder what they used to do for currency?
Most likely something far more reasonable than ground up souls. Maybe adamantine coins like we're using now?

I'm thinking a good avenue could be asking Bloodraven to help us with either finding or making a dreamlands servant. It's not like the Old Gods don't have supremacy in there through the Green Dream.

Sorrow, for a time before winter grew cold and hungry for the death of all things, you realize.
This explains what Rina's pet thing is.

The horrible void death nothingness is separate from the spirits and fae courts of winter and darkness.

And it looks like no matter how hard they tried that factional division still exists.

Right the green dream. We should ask him that too. When duo we ask our uncle? When are we visiting him next?
No idea, honestly.

We can try to arrange a meeting with "Varys" soon, but there's no set meeting time. That said, there's not a lot I'd talk about in the open. Some things need to be discussed in front of Bloodraven himself in his god-warded chambers.

Yep. They're rare as hell nowadays, but fortunately a few untainted creatures of Winter still exist.

The thing is these trees that are candidates for transplanting (Storm's End's tree, trees from Beyond the Wall, etc.) are all old and very powerful. That's the kind of power I want concentrated in our heart of power. That enlarged range is something we could and should be taking advantage of.
It's also the sort of tree that we want on an ambient as hostile as this.
morphing into an adventuring gremlin
10/10
You can always duel the Big Man himself for her...
If we have a fully geared Balerion-kun, I'd take that bet.
So Is a Pit Fiend more powerful or less powerful than the aspect of Mammon we fought.
Definitely less powerful, but likely more dangerous.

The Aspect had a lot of raw numbers, but was pretty shoddily built. A 3.5 Pit Fiend is the opposite, it has many nasty and potent tricks, such as Blasphemy, Mass Hold Monster, Power Word Stun, Meteor Swarm, Unholy Aura and the one/year Wish as panic button.

Pit Fiends do a lot with relatively small numbers. For one, they have two less HD than CR.

The Aspect is actually only 1 CR higher than the Pit Fiend, it's technically on par with a "mere" Solar. It has almost twice the HP and half again the attack bonus when compared to the Fiend, but similar damage as it uses, of all things, a short spear. It has one seriously nasty move, and that's 1/day Weird, while the Fiend's SLAs are mostly at will.

But Fiends can simply advance in HD.

Or they can be PF ones, I've suggested that as a way of indicating "greater" fiends of the same species, and the PF Pit Fiend is stupidly dangerous.

..when are we sending companions to help that one Lord nail another Lord (one dealing with Devils) to a Heart Tree, again?
@Duesal?

I'm feeling somewhat awkward over OGs likely dropping... well, some of their want for revenge against Seven in light of this latest revelation.

It's very handy for us, yes...
But I'm still feeling weirded out by implication that we may get ourselves peace with them.

Well, here's hope that we still get to destroy problematic parts of faith... and that Smith's/Warrior's champions prove to be as reasonable as Danelle.
Unlikely as the former may be, but we still need to actually do reconnaissance on them to be sure.

(Side note, kill Chosen of Stranger, hire Faceless Men if needed. As many as needed. I have a personal beef with Stranger after Baelor)

Oh yeah, @TalonofAnathrax @Artemis1992 (and @BeepSmile ?), as you guys like to poke a builds, I'm thinking for Balerion:

Feats: Power Attack, Fly-By-Attack, Fly-By-Breath, Strafing Breath, Awaken SR, Rapidstrike, Improved Rapidstrike (Claws), Improved Rapidstrike (Wings), Beast Strike, Hover, Wingstorm, Snatch, Improved Snatch, Improved Initiative, Spellcaster Harrier
Flaws: Bestial Instinct, Grudge-Keeper

But what if he died? Rhaenys would be sad !

Looks good.

I think taking Bestial Instinct for a creature that can only use natural attacks anyway is pretty unfair.

I considered it for Caraxes, but it's ultimatly the very example of a not-flaw.
Of course it's a Flaw!
If his Int is ever buffed, it'll be a problem :D
And Balerion has been depicted as being especially affected by the Valyrian curse, moreso than other dragons. Clearly this is part of it.

Okay so from what I can gather the general plan for the immediate future is to blitzkrieg our current Planetos obligations (in so far as we can at any rate) Transplant a sufficiently old tree into Heaven, and then feed that fucker every vegan sacrifice we can get our hands on (I seem to recall folks shying away from using blood on the plane.)

I assume after that we're moving onto the Tiamat trap setup or are we going to do that before we worry about the Tree transference?

I know the Sultan trap isn't going to be ready until we get Westeros back in line, gather the prerequisite amount of brass seals, and start/finish working on our killbox.

...

Random thought, wouldn't the Sultan trap become more dangerous after we beat Tiamat over her heads and take her wallet? I doubt something like that would be quiet by any stretch of the imagination and tales of a Dragon that mugged The queen of greed is not something that would be ignored out of hand.

The minute we set off the Sultan Trap the Sultan will know it was us (or at least reasonably assume it was) and then launch his heaviest hitters at our direction. Even if he's being torn on both sides by our allies on his home plane and doing so may make it more likely he would fall we would still be the bigger threat to his divinity.

Our fleet arrives to Yi Ti by the end of next month.
So we should start running spy-Companions there by start of next month so that we have sufficient info to at least start dismantling their operations (and so that they don't get to fuck us over for free).

We also should start on that 16-Progress research action that would have us re-purpose Worm beneath Dragon Orb Fortress into a proverbial knife to mug TImmie with.
Then...

Well, I expect a lot of shit hit the fan once we learn just what Golden Company's been up to in Yi Ti.
Worst case?
They got their alliance, and we won't be able to do anything about them any time soon.

If not... Well, we can probably work this out in 1-2 more months, ending with us running glorious assault on their main force, ruining their day with proper Valyrian dragons. And ~50 geared Erynies. And multiple high-level casters.
And Azel ruining our day with whatever they have prepared.
After that, we move on to assault the Masnsion... and I have no idea how, to be honest.
Somewhere along the way we capture F!Aegon, get timmie to assert power over them, and lock those up with our Divine Snare.

The minute we set off the Sultan Trap the Sultan will know it was us (or at least reasonably assume it was) and then launch his heaviest hitters at our direction.
That... was always going to be the case?
If my assumption that he is going to use his coins as a Weirwood-analogue to ascend to godhood is right... he'd do that whenever, whoever, wherever tried to do somthing like that.

The point is for us to do that when his city is besieged by Jinn/Shaitan forces anyway, so that he'd have to choose, and lose whatever he'll chose.
We never had an assumption that he'd ignore us doing this in any way?
It would, however, win us the war even if he throws enough of shit to break Stepstones at us.

Can we just teleport in and kill the company commande4s and stuff with the companian. To my knowldge there high level assets are limited.

Probably not no. We're bullshit but they are too and they've spent the last few millennia on war footing at minimum to boot.

We could get the drop on one, maybe two if we're stupidly lucky, but the rest would swarm us like army ants.

Edit: Thought you meant the Devils in heaven not the Golden company. Also probably not no. They're paranoid little bastards.

Their main commanders are either in fortress on Shadow Plane (which is a CR-relevant chain of encounters. So, very difficult thing to assault jsut like that).
The ground forces... these guys are problematic in the fact that they spread Timmie's cult, and can't be allowed to live because of that. Remember, all the moderated we already killed when we faced them "exiled" away from main forces.

Losing ground forces would hurt Timmie's plans in economic way too, but it won't deal with the biggest trouble - her clerics, wizards, and F!Aegon themselves, a very real Champion of Bitch Queen, one very capable of restoring the cult if left alone.

Also, Dragons.
Including that Shadow Dragon we got her ourselves.
