...I'm just as disgruntled with Azel leaving (possibly permanently) as the next guy, but...
What's wrong with that line of tags TNE had?

Mass Tagging is frankly a dickish thing to do, people casted their votes, trust them to keep up with the discussion and don't refer them to someone else's post in the same mass tag :eyeroll:

A resolution the servants of Tiamat will not enjoy...
Good to see some things don't change.

Thank god the excessive drama didnt reach this one

With every word the smiles of the three men widen a little more, until they seem less grim and more filled with good cheer... of the bloody sort.
So, I take it now, that we'll be sending such loadouts as this to our allies all-around, @Goldfish?

Ironborn can probably use these, and if I'm not wrong we sponsored them with but a small amount of magic items...

OKay so on the scale of Quasimodo to Two-face how bad is it?
this bad:

Edit: DP'd, damn.

I've seen it turn votes before, actually, from the perspective of a QM. It's not something that should be allowed to happen often, but can be reasonable once in a while on critical votes when new information comes into play or is clarified.

To be fair the qoute TNE showed was insightful. Not enough to make me question our decisions and policies up to this point mind you, but enough to at least make me think about them before I resolved my decision a second time.

It might be my somewhat lax morals or that I'm just that cynical and jaded, but to be frank I saw no problem in how we conducted business.

BTW I'm hesitant to ask because of how much I messed up the last update but does the resolution work?

@Crake @chryssalideater is it at least somewhat less jarring to you guys?
Eh. It feels rushed, but no amount of prose is going to solve a pacing problem. The entirety of Viserys late game moral identity has been brought up and resolved in two updates, while the next dozen will be devoted to intrigue and/or conquest. It feels disrespectful to the character.

However. This also a quest, not just a story. Most people have become severely frustrated with Viserys' moral agonizing and would rather move on. It would be in poor taste to drag the thread to a crawl to deal with character development when it isn't really what people come here for. I appreciate the attempt and what's done is done.

I would not say you have 'solved' morality. this covered all the self-actualization that I had rushed though before but there will be plenty of moral choices in the future (it can hardly be otherwise with Viserys having so much power)

Man I gotta say these last couple of "updates" have really ruined my desire to participate, I think I'm gonna take a break for a while, see if I wanna come back to this in a couple months cause this random walk back of votes and shit is just god awful.

No amount of hindsight acknowledgement, or even pointing out that Syrax is hardly the best person to be offering life advice, will make the whole thing any less rushed, but if you want honest critique, Dany at least said it straight. She had no real reason to do all that other than to prove that she could get Viserys to listen to her, even with all the restrictions we've placed upon them. That she will always have power over us, and that ultimately we should "trust" in that power she holds because at least she won't "use it against us".

If anything this whole affair makes me distrust her more, and at least Dany seems representative in that stance if nothing else.

A very good point.

...

Thank you and for what it's worth that aspect of Syrax' personality is intended. She is after all both a dragon and a goddess of fate. That was the reason I chose her for this, however much of a bad idea the whole thing turned out to be in the end.

Okay, now I truly have time to post and read.

What did I miss?
Shit storm basically.

Bit of a moral absolution but nothing we already weren't doing OOC, just Viserys doing it IC because the dead goddess who doesn't have the damn decency to stay that way threw it at his head and yelled think fast.

Also Rina in the interlude, that was nice.

It was a good use of the threads exhaustion. Cleverly written to make it into Viserys' own emotions.

Time and distance will make us all the better once we get past this. Disappointments and disagreements won't be the focus of the thread.

Some will remember longer than others, but in time salt loses its saltiness.
