[X] Its left arm is weakened from the preserving rod. You should be able to grapple Dinobeemon's limb and keep it from being used while the others continue to strike the feral.

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

[X] Stay the course. Heal up and continue to bear the brunt of its wrath so the others can strike without worry.

Yeah, let's not get turned into a freaking club.

So... Dinobeemon. Noticeably stronger that Chimmairamon Verge fought. And posibly even more so than MetalTyranomon
It's not freshly evolved from a wounded Mon either. As for MetalTyranomon, that came from a weaker base, in dark flarizamon. The only reason he made it to that evo was likely due to Count being an incredibly skilled trainer.

[X] Now is the time to step back and unleash your own ranged attack. Perhaps you can even strike the shallow wound on its torso.

"CHAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGE"

There's no real comparison here. This a fusion species from two very strong champions that has had plenty of time to fight eat and get into the swing of things power-wise. I'll show its stats after this fight is concluded but.

Eh... not quite. All of Counts servants are/were more exceptional than your average digimon. As in they all had potential to hit Ult on their own.

=

Also for a size comparison, keep in mind that MasterTyrannomon was 35 feet tall. Dinobeemon is of a similar height.

Verge is about 23 feet at this time. So he's a good 12 feet shorter.

Speaking of MasterTyrannomon as a neat note, he'd Trounce this particular Dinobeemon in a fight.

Gramps raises no chumps!
Something that would be wise to remember is that the last generation Gramps oversaw was not normal in any way. He raised nearly a thousand digimon to champion over the years and most of them were *average* in that they capped out at champion.

The simple fact that your have to :turian:average :turian: to me just further reinforces my belief.

As just because most of Verge's expended family only got to the ranks of champ like most mon, doesn't mean they were just average mon. :D

Since Gramps didn't seem like the kind of parent to not raise his kids right.

Keep mind Verge had to put a lot of effort into just the three Spidy bois to give me a chance to reach Ultimate while having the benafits of a civilized town around him, it's entirely possible Gramps just doesn't have the means to train mon without a significant amount of potential to do so, and it's note like he really needs to anyway so long as they go on to live fulfilling lives.

Actually Drex I know digimon live relatively short lives... but do some species have different life spans at the same levels... Like some Champions can actually live crazy long while others live for much shorter?

True, but being strong is one of the best ways to allow a mon the chance to live a happy and long life and that is something I think Gramps would know.

[] Stay the course. Heal up and continue to bear the brunt of its wrath so the others can strike without worry.

===

Heal and continue the current path. Continue as a shield so the others may strike without worry. But first...

You begin the incantation for a healing spell and step forwards once again, angling to face his now weaker left arm. The feral is a good dozen feet taller than you, giving it a distinct advantage in melee range and forcing you to close in through its flailing.

A wild backhand smashes against your paired war-gauntlets, making you shoulder scream in agony. However, thanks to the wound inflicted by the *preserving rod* you manage to avoid having your guard entirely shattered. Feeling resistance, the Ultimate directs its next swing down horizontally, but you crouch down and angle your front paws to deflect it.

"Right, right! Like, aim for the neck wound guys." Galgomon orders even as a barrage of bullets slam home into the tiny portions of exposed data. But instead of chipping away like the other barrage, these ones cause a foul-smelling black mist to waft up from where the projectiles struck.

Spirits below that is... similar to La-Ardat's ability! How is it that he-Focus.

Dinobeemon's elbow slams down towards your skull-and is met with six golden spikes. Your shoulder flares in pain, actually forcing your arm to go limp but the chrome digizoid alloy actually manages to pierce his blue scales and dig into the muscle below. The offending limb rises up for another blow, something you're ill prepared to deflect given how the last one drove you several feet into the earth.

Fortunately, that's something that never comes. The nine dancing streaks of azure lighting bend around and strike the metal rod, sending the shocking power directly right into the chimera digimon's internals.

The one-armed smash turns into a full-bodied whirl as it unleashes an ear-wrenching gurgle. A titantic tail ducks below your raised forelimbs and smashes into your chest, bending your thick ribs inwards and snapping something that really, really, hurts. By the time reality fully reasserts itself, you're on your back looking up at the sky... and finishing off the last lines of code.

Divine-assisted power forcibly re-expands your crushed torso, forcing the metal-gilded bones back into shape and knitting the majority of your damaged internal data back together. Your body still hurts but, all the major damage has been healed.

You roll back onto all four paws and dart back towards the rampaging feral as it yanks upon the chains, snapping two of the bound trees in half. Before it can give another yank, Beat impacts the Ultimate's back and plunges his arm-spikes into a pair of bullet holes. Dinobeemon instinctively starts to try and buck the champion off, but your friend refuses to let go, gripping the beast's body with his legs even as he lands stab after stab into its body.

The hazy form of Wendimon pops into existence below Dinobeemon's left side, muttering a spell that wreathes his right arm in lightning. Your *ally* wordlessly slams his first up into armpit spike's blunt end, sending thousands of kilojoules into the Ultimate's torso and driving the tool a full foot deeper. Before he can warp away the chimera's head smashes down onto onto his upraised arm, snapping the long limb in two with a gruesome *crunch* and forcing him to the ground.

Dinobeemon leaps up, clearly intending to squash the champion, but its leg catches on the chains, making the mon lose his balance... but also ripping another trio of trees out of the ground. You skid to a halt just out of the range of his descending form, then watch as a blue blur darts past you and launches itself up at the falling Ultimate with a scream.

"Spinning Cutter!" The armor digimon spins, her entire body forming into a living buzzsaw, that actually picks up momentum slicing through the sky at even greater speeds. At first you deem the attack foolish, even with her speed Rinkmon would have no chance of penetrating Dinobeemon's scales or chitin. That changes when her body strikes the open wound left by your central claw. She cuts deeper into the wound through the sheer number of rotations rocketing past even your substantial ability to count and turns the injury into a gaping mess.

The blind, airborne chimera brings his arms back in a hug to try and crush the spinning digimon, but she easily slips between the gaps and lands a mere meter away from you. Galgomon's quarry impacts the earth a moment later, causing the entire clearing to shake.

Rinkmon doesn't give the Ultimate any time to recover and bounces back in to slice its already burnt left eye right open.

"Over here, beast."
Her voice cuts right through the constant roar of violence drawing, the feral her way... and by extension to you. The wommon leaps back from a blind swipe, flashes you a smirk then darts between your hind-legs. Dinobeemon charges right after her, pulling against the chain for one final time.

*Snap*

The remaining trees tumble right on over, leaving the Ultimate free in his pursuit. Your guard moves up in effort to halt the lumbering feral in its tracks... and accomplishes exactly nothing.

Dozens of tons worth of chitin, scales and muscle bowls you right over. A nanoseond later, its foot stomps down on your right forearm squashing it into uselessness.

Urk!

"Crappedy crap! Its loose! Kay guys don't panic!" The poisoned chimeric digimon changes course, charging towards his voice. You roll back up onto three paws, glaring at the Ultimate. Beat is still on its back, stabbing away with rapid precision.

Your enemy shudders and has a to stomp down to keep its stance. The multitude of wounds are clearly taking their toll.

We are on the final stretch of this road. The end of its life must be close!

===Authors Note: Sorry guys, I have to cut it short here. I have some cooking to do. I will write the last part with the vote tonight.

Rinkmon actually did the tactically correct action, since Dinobeemon could kill Beat otherwise. Focusing aggro on the defense buffed tank and the dodge tank makes sense.

The main problem is that Dinobeemon is REALLY freaking swole. If Verge wasn't tanking we'd have had some potential fatalities already

19th Of Wind: The First Hunt; End.
With his warning given Galgomon leaps aside, easily clearing fifty feet and letting the poisoned feral pass harmlessly beneath him. All the while his arms continue to spit corrosive rounds at the enemy's neck with startling accuracy, steadily weakening the internal flesh further. Dinobeemon smashes into the forestsry your superior had been hiding in, annihilating it through momentum alone, then digs a clawed hand into the ground and swings in a circle.

You rear up start forward, intent on following the Ultimate and immediately feel lighter. The effect of Frame Reinforce concluding... which means that you'll be even less capable of taking hits.

So be it.

"Come then! I am. A. Shield!" The lumbering jog turns into a full on sprint as you chase after the feral with one claw held high. Hearing your challenge the chimeric digimon changes course again, arms drawing back for another powerful scything below.

With only one arm available deflecting would be impossible and even without the speed debuff of frame Reinforce, there's no dodging something like this. But none of that matters.

You are going to block him.

Dinobeemon leaps at you, clearing the last meters in one tenth of a second. Your left arm rises up, set to let Ultimate impale himself on your three silver claws. The feral's claws rip finish their deadly arc, gleaming tips striking against your already damaged pauldrons-

『AVALON 』
01000111 01101111 01100100 00100000 01000010 01101100 01100101 01110011 01110011
*Tink*

-and then proceeds to harmlessly bounce off.

The monumental force of its momentum clashes against the silver tips of your war-gauntlet, easily enough to crush you in normal circumstances. And yet, you don't move. Dinobeemon impales itself on your straightened limb, the feral's humongous body crumpling around your upright form. But there's no pain or real sense of impact. Almost like... nothing had hit you at all.

"Spirits..."

"Holy shit dude!"

"Not possible!"

"Interesting."

Perfection.

Your opponent thrashes wildly, tearing up the ground as it desperately tries to claw you asunder, but to no avail. A second passes. Two. Finally the chimera changed tactics, pulling away from your arm. The third second passes by.

A sudden wave of exhaustion hits your body, sapping every hint of energy held within. It's suddenly all you can do to stand. Dinobeemon sluggishly raises its right arm, intent on restarting combat.

"Pid Speed And Holy Rod!"

The angel charges past you as a golden blur, his fiery staff held forward like a lance and rams it into the Ultimate's gaping chest wound. Holy flame explodes deep inside the feral digimon's body and a moment later, smoke begins to eek out of the Ultimate's neck injury. Despite the wound, Dinobeemon manages to smash his head down into your friends helmet, knocking him away from the rod and halting the burning assault.

"Shashahsa."
Rinkmon giggles from the clearing's edge, literally holding her sides at the sight of your friend being knocked down. The Ultimate raises his head up for another headbutt, but you stumble forward twist and bring up a claw to keep it from smashing into his prone form. Something pink flashes beside you and the next moment Wendimon is standing shoulder to shoulder with you, his arm moving in concert with your own.

"Uppercut!/Uppercut!"

*Thwack*

The chimera's chitin-covered head rocks up from the combined force of your punches, and wobbles backwards with a surprised gurgle. Wendimon pulls back his crumpled hand with a pained growl and turns back to look at the battered holy digimon. However, Pit isn't there anymore. The angel leaps up, kicks off your pauldron twists and draws one glowing arm back.

"Heaven's Knuckle!" Your friend wholly ignores his weapon, gliding past it so he can plunge his fist into the gaping injury. Light explodes from the feral's wounds finally dealing enough damage to force the titanic mon to drop to a knee. "Friends Beat and Sparks, now!"

"Spiking Finish!"
The insect digimon appears from over your target's collar and dives into the weakened flesh, his spikes and claws shredding what remains of the beast's neck.

"Burst!"
For a second the entire clearing lights up to painful degree as nine pillars of blue power, come into existence. Each pillar-like tendril weaves effortlessly around the Ultimate's body and come together to strike the neck's underside.

The target manages one last shuddering wheeze before the combined attacks fully sever the connections between mind and body. The now deceased digimon slumps down, its body staying unnaturally solid even in the throes of death.

"Woot, woot! Nice teamwork dudes, that was pretty awesome!" Galgomon shouts, floating down on top of its body. "Job well done guys, now... we just need to dig in and grab its core."

"Good." Beat nods. "His strength will be mine."

"My... thanks." You grunt out, taking this chance to sit down. Pit flashes Rinkmon a mocking grin, but the wommon just turns frowns and turns her head away. It may be nothing but... you think there's a touch of red on her face?

"I will go alert the experts."
With that the speedy digimon skates away, obviously not wanting to stick around for your squad's victory.

"Worry not for your injuries comrades!... And members of the Gloaming. I'll get right to the Lord's work healing!"

"Ah, that is appreciated sergeant."
Wendimon replies before looking down at his broken limbs. "I suppose... I could use a hand."

"Tch, prick."
Sparks grumbles, his body singed but obviously not damaged to the point of immobility. You raise a brow at the Wizard, but he just shrugs. "Mine methods were different this time. Heh, still hurts like friggen' heck but. I have a question for thee."

A question?

"Thine spell, 'twas not Frame Reinforce. What 'twas that?"

Avalon.

You open your mouth to reply, then flinch.

Avalon? What is... how is it that I know this? What... is this?

[] Tell him later once you've had time to think on it a bit. What happened here was somehow familiar.

=== Followup Social Option: (Choose One)

[] Beat & Wendimon: Your Stingmon friend is having his *operation* soon as he called dibs on Dinobeemon's digicore. This could be your chance to see how he's doing while learning more about how the operation works. Plus Wendimon seems intent on hanging around the insect digimon as well and you still don't fully trust him... though that dual uppercut he helped with was nice.

[] Sparks, Again: You didn't manage to get much out of him about the whole *reincarnation book* this might be a good chance to talk to him while seeing how he's been doing with Weddingmon. It could also be a chance to discuss the whole *Tree* thing. You have a feeling it might have something to do with what happened.

[] Pit & Rinkmon: Your friend and the Gloaming soldier have taken their relationship to the next level. In that they're actively talking to each other instead of just glaring. Which could be good... at least that's what you hope. Their conversations aren't exactly friendly.

Shy Sparks is honestly adorkable.

Lets not let them know more than necessary alright?
We tell Sparks AFTER everyone dispersed to their own activities
