@DragonParadox, what can we divine about the location, state and surroundings of her original body?
We can cross-reference if her location is in any of the following cities:
The cities of the Deep Ones have no names that men can speak, so Dany merely numbered them one though five in the order she would like to see them destroyed. They are split roughly in half between the Shivering Sea to the north and the Summer Sea to the south.

The three cities of the north lie as follows:

Two-hundred leagues north-east of Ib where the Aboleth Chronomancers struggle over ages, or perhaps instants, to pry apart the laws of time and space. One-hundred-and-ten leagues east of Skagos where the legions of Sahuagin and toiling hoards of Skum are birthed, given tools and weapons that they may serve their masters. Finally among the Thousand Islands black spires dot the tainted waters still trying to wring some use from failed experiments, though there are hints that they may be searching for something more, something greater, almost fearfully, if such horrors can be said to know fear.

In the south one city lies close to the Isle of Toads where foolish mortal sorcerers still commune with the deep horrors in secretive arcane rites that, to the Deep Ones' disdain, require mortal aid of some sort. The final city lies in the shallows between the Manticore Isles from whence emissaries and spies are sent to Leng and Asshai by the Shadow.
If not we can narrow it down further.

...Am I the only one more interested in having Merling King cutting that metaphysical connection, instead of dealing with the body ourselves?

:/
okay.
I just don't think the Merling King would be much help here; either his power has no effect on the body at all, or it turns the entire thing to protoplasmic goo.

DP said he can cut the connection with the old body.
Severing the connection is certainly something he could do, it fits his themes, reeling her in not so much.

Which is exactly what we want?
We just need to successfully summon her into a new one first, and then quickly have MK deal with the old one?

It is Lya, however, who suggests the most esoteric solution—trying to draw Jeyne's consciousness fully into this body and leaving your enemies with the empty corpse. Such an endeavor would not be easy, but it does not escape your notice that succeeding would grant you access to precisely the thing the Deep Ones had sought to tempt you with, access to the magics of the mind.

@DragonParadox What does Viserys think would happen if we cast Trap the Soul on Jeyne? The spell targets ones soul/life force and material body. If we use it to capture her soul, wouldn't that by default break the mental connection with her original body?

It would not work, the soul is not in this body, its just controlling it long distance though something like an astral thread.

Good night guys see you tomorrow with rescues and more festival interludes, probably Team Old Gods vs Team Abyssal Relations.

That's the idea.

Use the Curse Staff to extablish the connection, Greater Curse: pull the soul out. Then shove a Disintegrate the way it came.
I'm not sure a Greater Curse would be able to do the job of saving Jeyne's soul without harming her somehow. Every time we've used a curse we have been repeatedly told it always has to harm the recipient.

I wonder if we can reverse engineer Psionics from her. If they figured out how to do this then that means we have a template to use for future Psionics. Finally we have a chance to steal Psionics. Excellent.

What if we;

Step 1) Use the Staff of Ages to cast Bestow Greater Curse on Jeyne's true body, reducing her Constitution to one point.
Step 2) Viserys immediately sends a Maximized Nightmare spell to inflict 10 points of damage on her, insta-killing her original body due to the Constitution damage, while Lya simultaneously casts a Resurrection spell using the sample we kept from her original body before turning her loose.

I mean the corpse still remains doesn't it? Even if we bring her back the would mean they have a base to lash curses on her.

Edit: Also I am changing back my profile pic. It is too jarring

Doesn't work. For Ressurection, you need a part that was attached to the body in the moment of death.

Kinda, yes.

I'm honestly not sure what we can do, aside from actually going there, putting ourselves in danger, and risking an actual breach of the truce, to destroy the metaphysical connection her old body has to this one :/
and I don't think we want going into the dreamlands near Illithid fortress and/or risking the truce.

MK seems the most reasonable solution here, honestly :/

That is, if we are even successfull in reeling her mind here in the first place.

The truce was a time-limited thing, right? Assuming we don't consider it broken, how much time is left on that? I want to get an idea for what the time cost is if we break it ourselves.

Well, we have three parts to this:

1. We need her soul out of the Illithids clutches.
2. We need to keep the puppet alive.
3. We need the original body destroyed.

I would say we set up everything to draw the soul to the puppet when the old body croaks, the curse it's CON and destroy it by Remote-Destruction, channeled through the connection.

We're not in a rush, so let's investigate Ser Roger to find out how involved he was in this. He might have more clues as to what the plan was or also be controlled in some manner.

Does anyone remember any damaging spells that can be used without a range limit? Nightmare is the only one that is coming to mind at the moment, at least among those that don't need line of effect.
