So how do you guys think we should roll the brackets for the team events.

@Azel you had some idea on it right?
Considering just how much work would be involved in rolling all of that combat, I would prefer you just narrow the results down to the final four teams using your best judgement, or maybe even the final two teams, then roll combat for them alone.

I wouldn't mind if we devoted an entire week to team combat, but I doubt everyone else would feel the same way, and this would prevent you from having to do a ton of additional work.

Of course, I wouldn't mind reading a few team combat chapters.

ARCHERY
  1. Ser Balon Swan [Stormlander Knight] Strength bonus +4 on the +1 Dragonbone Longbow of Distance, Festival Edition Valyrian Steel Dagger (1 lbs) -- 3 lbs of Dragonbone & 1 lbs of Valyrian Steel
  2. Kojja Mo [Summer Islander Archer] Strength bonus +3 on the +1 Dragonbone Longbow, Festival Edition Valyrian Steel Dagger (1 lbs) -- 3 lbs of Dragonbone & 1 lbs of Valyrian Steel
  3. Theon Greyjoy [Prince of the Iron Isles/Ranger] -- he does not really need a bow, Festival Edition Valyrian Steel Dagger (1 lbs), Valyrian steel claw sheaths for his raptor if possible (assuming 2 lbs) -- 3 lbs of Valyrian Steel
  4. Balarr 'Break-Bow' [Free Folk Raider/Blessed of the Old Gods] Strength Bonus +7 on the bow, Festival Edition Valyrian Steel Dagger (1 lbs) -- 1 lbs of Valyrian Steel
  5. Places fifth through tenth get six Festival Edition Valyrian Steel Dagger (1 lbs each) -- 6 lbs of Valyrian Steel
TOTAL: 9 lbs of Dragonbone & 10 lbs of Valyrian Steel
Your math is off here. Everyone gets 1lb of VS for daggers and Theon gets ~2lb more for his raptor. Thus 12lbs VS.

@Goldfish am I correct in saying that our current Launch Item systems target full AC as expected?
Full AC for projectiles, such as when it fires Light Ballista Bolts. When it fires Alchemical items, though, it doesn't necessarily need to beat AC to be effective, such as with Fungal Stun Vials and Thunderstones.

Could you toss up the stats for the regular Launch Item system we've been handing out to Inquisitors? Including cost?

Also something to consider on firing Alchemical Items is to just target the square the creature is in, instead of the creature itself. AC 5 is pretty trippy like that.

Seeing as you guys were generally so hyped over choosing teams and such I figured most people wanted me to roll everything up properly. Is that not the case?

I'm in favor of running through all of them tbh.

Part of the point of Adventuring Teams is pulling through amazing upsets through luck and skill. Skipping over things because of convenience feels a little disappointing.

My thoughts on how to run it would to form a general battle plan for each group based on prior experience, in combat, in general, with magic, and with each other, roll some checks to look for flaws. Then, adapt the game plan for each opponent group with some more checks to represent gained intel and recognising how their opponents operate.

That is the case, I think Goldfish is just anticipating some people wanting to get to the end of the festival. There is still strong interest in seeing all the fights.

I'm in favor of giving full attention to every round. The teams are far too epic to gloss over anything.

@DragonParadox, maybe let some other players make the missing char sheets or roll a match with you getting the log afterwards for fairness?

I would be really happy for any help with the character sheets. I can handle the rolls though, no reason to spoil the fun of whoever rolls it by unloading the unfun part of GM-in on them.

Personally, I think doing the fights is great fun. Especially if you do it against another person. Back to the wargaming roots and all that. ;)

Fair enough, though there is some information I am hesitant to hand out for the first time as dry mechanical crunch, like Melisandre's abilities. Those are designed to be experienced by the players fluff included.
