I wonder if we can negotiate a more formal agreement between our people instead of this one time "Help you Slay Sauron" deal.
I mean if they're the Japan analog they've got resources true, but since we're the Germany analog we've got more natural goods than them twice over easily.
Trades a given, possibly even tourism if/when such a thing becomes reasonably possible. I would be surprised to see some immigration even.
The sooner we can get something in writing the quicker we can cut any potential international faux pas at the proverbial knees.

Also, that force he's traveling with didn't come just to assist you. The Emperor insisted he come see this other Emperor in person and of course his people refused to let him go without a suitable escort. They're not going to just hang around until you decide to actually launch an attack. Once their business here has been finished they'll likely send most of their forces home until you are ready to launch the attack, at which point they will link up with you.

We should do this Q&A with seriousness, asking how to raise our adopted dragon daughter as our first question is not in line with our objectives, and it does not suit our emperors personality to be that direct.
i think it's not a normal vote of 'the 5 options with the most votes get asked' but more like we vote to give questor ideas and he picks the ones he finds the most interesting, this is for making an exposition infodumb less awkward after all.

Emperors rarely have free time to chat, especially when they live an entire ocean away from the one wanting to do the chatting.
Later might be anywhere from a few years to a decade, because I doubt his people are going to just let him walk headfirst into a warzone against a dark wizard eldritch half-breed, Bushidō or no.

I think that we should limit questions only to culture of his people and Sombra.

As for trade, i believe we will have that as economic option and it isn't the right time to talk about trade deals , especially since we don't even know if he is merchant king, now we are opening official diplomatic relationships after all.

I think people picked the Gryphons because they were the well-known underdogs, as well as the high difficulty involved. Zebra's were likely seen as being a bit too close to Ponies, and Qilin pretty much had practically everything going for them right from the start, but with the Gryphons we got to give canon a massive middle finger, and claw our way out from the mess Discord left us. No magic, no special powers, no 'destiny', just stone-cold grit and determination, and if we discover those things later? They're ours, something we did, not something that was given to us. Heck, the damage we did to Sombra? The first time around that took Celestia and Luna working together. So yeah, this Quest has been awesome thus far and I definitely wouldn't trade it.

Pretty much. I wanted to be sure to give people the information they wanted in story without it being weird. I figured this was the best way to do so.
All questions will be answered eventually, this is just the obvious stuff you'd want to know right as you are meeting another head of state.

A thousand and more tumbled through his mind, as he held his face stoicly still. A thousand questions from the pragmatic to the silly to the desperate unvoiced fears. Enough! He rallied himself, took a deep breath, and asked the most pertinent and important question that could be asked in a moment like this.
