Contrary to popular belief, we only keep your skull if it has interesting things to whisper to us about.

Most Freys have hot air and wishful thinking up there.
If we kept every skull, we would have a small mountain by now.

But I would keep Walder Prime's if he betrayed us. Need to know the details after all.

...

Come to think of... nobody ever betrayed us so far. It's almost as if people considered the risk not worth it.

The ones who considered it had access to Divination.

They ran a few, and then never thought about it again.

Before we divide the Riverlands, we should see which way things go when we invade, if the Tully's surrender early, then while they will lose their position as overlords of the Riverlands, it wouldn't be a good idea to take their ancestral seat of Riverrun, we do need to make surrendering to us seem a good idea, and if you lose not just your vassals but your seat as well, then it don't seem that much better than fighting the inevitable, from most nobles perspective.

Surprisingly on point, yes. The idea encapsulates that even someone like Hoster Tully can get a bare ounce of clemency if he actually exercises basic foresight.

This will encourage others to surrender faster.

Just remember that we don't want them to surrender too fast. We have made a couple promises to wipe out a couple families.

Yeah, that's the thing. We need a certain amount of war breaking out across certain lines, both for the Old Gods and to ensure we can draft a stable post-war order.

Baelor showed that we can also calm the old gods down by the killing of the Seven's champions, and it also seems very likely that conversion will satisfy the old gods, so while ending those lines is the simplest way, it's not the only possible way.

I'm not saying wanton slaughter, but humbling. Like the Vances being knocked down in the pecking order for example. Force them into a position where they need to marry into Essosi money to stay relevant. That kind of thing.

And of course, neat little Duchies that keep the stupid in Westeros contained.

If it will stop them from pointlessly murdering more smallfolk I'm all for it.

I still really want an Inquisition member in every community doing daily check ins.

I'm oddly starting to like Black Walder for his bluntness.

It's super convenient to have so much land in Essos to bribe people with.

As you mentally prod Varys awake to fly off with a message for Teana, young Derrick blurts out: "Is that a baby dragon?"

"She is not hatchling, that is as large as she will get, though one denies her the name dragon at one's peril," you chuckle. "There's a colony of her kin here in the Deep."

"Can we take some of them back, too?" the boy asks excitedly. "That'll show everybody that..." he cuts himself off, blushing. "We are not supposed to show that we have His Grace's direct support, are we, ser?"

The old knight smiles at the boy. "No we are not, and it is to your credit that you remembered at all. I certainly wouldn't have at your age under the circumstances."
I had a bit of a heart attack at this part, though. Thank the gods for Benjicot for putting an end to it.

So with Mel she has met the priest of Yss but not the giant avatar that has decided to make his home in our island? I wonder how she will react to that as well as the giant tree that's opening this month.

The fact that they're actively looking into overthrowing Tywin in favor of Tyrion is rather encouraging, I thought we'd just convince them to surrender in the middle of the invasion.

That is still probably the plan. I doubt anyone would willingly let their lands be spilt like we are planning to do. So makes the loses untenable and have them surrender is still the most probable outcome. However after Mel and the Red dragon orb...anything is possible? I am still wrapping my head around that.

By the way, there is a very neat function of Orbs of Dragonkind that any bearer is able to communicate with the bearer of other orbs. We could potentially use this orb to hunt down all the others.

It remains a gamble. If you think the deal for surrendering sucks, you don't want to hear the deal you get after we tore down your keep around you.

Vae victis.

Wait so we can collect the dragon balls? We dont need a dragon radar?
If the other orbs exist, yeah.

Knowing our luck, the Others are probably firmly in possession of the White Orb of Dragonkind which would explain how they turned White Dragons into the far more dangerous Frost Dragons, pretty much the opposite of how the Valyrians turned Red Dragons into Valyrian Dragons.

I am holding out hope for Green, Black, and Blue, though.
