Investing Inquisition assets here right now is a bad idea. We are already stretched thin with everyone clamoring to throw the Inquisition everywhere at once. We simply don't have enough actions for that. Even if we took absolutely everyone that can do intrigue actions, we won't be bale to cover half as much as people want, especially as we need serious amounts of effort to get full bases set up in the larger areas.
And that fact that next month is probably going to be working towards cleaning up after Varys.

[X] Send a message to Lord Stark at once via Construct Raven
-[X] Tell him of the Others' attempt to infiltrate a powerful Undead creature into Wintertown using an unwitting dupe. Warn him of future attempts which may not be discovered so easily, and offer to provide him with an enchanted object meant to detect Undead creatures, if he desires.

[X] Westerosi Intel 6.0
-[X] Ask of great secrets among the Westerosi that Varys is aware of (like the "royal" children's true parentage, but it doesn't need to be of the same importance)
-[X] Get a full update on everything he knows that's going on in King's Landing
-[X] OFFER ASSISTANCE TO BLOODRAVEN
--[X] Ask what Bloodraven has been up to.
---[X] To start, does he have any plans he'd like help on? We've already got two of his stronger assets -- Danar Crowl and Alyssa Grafton -- as permanent residents of Sorcerer's Deep. We can provide teleportation and firepower if the mission is important enough.
---[X] Ask for the names and locations of the various septons Bloodraven has been cultivating so that you can possibly plan for them later on.
--[X] We are allies with the Shaitan and the Djinn now, so if there's ever a magic item that Bloodraven needs for his operations he can ask us so long as it's not cripplingly expensive (tens or even hundreds of thousands of IM is fine if the purpose is important enough, though a million would be too expensive)
--[X] Ask if Bloodraven would like any more plant-creatures crafted to serve his purposes
--[X] We will gladly work as a go-between if he wants to leverage our Westerosi allies, Doran, Brune, Monford and the Royces, for something. Or the Inquisition resources we are starting to build up.
--[X] Ask him where he thinks Inquisition bases would be the most useful for our shared goals. Our current bucket list is Darry (friendly lord, major crossroad), Oldtown (focal point of various other factions), Whiteharbor (best connected area in the North), and the Dornish March (important crossroad in Reach, Stormlands and Dorne politics, giving us some insights in their movements and we want to be greatly entrenched there in preparation for the invasion). 2-3 bases in the Westerlands would be great. Crackclaw Point and Dragonstone would be other good targets, though mostly for invasion prep. Maybe Runestone if the intrigue attacks on the Royces keep up.

-[X] THE DEEP ONES
--[X] Ask where Varys and Bloodraven know they've been operating, who they've been fighting, who they've subverted, what their goals are perceived to be, etc.
--[X] Update Bloodraven on your contact with the Lantern-Bearers and their new conflict with the Citadel
--[X] Does Bloodraven or Varys know the locations of any relics or champions of the Deep Ones? The Sistermen, for example, concerningly are said to have webbed fingers.
--[X] Update Bloodraven on the fact that Rodrick the Reader has unofficially sworn fealty to you and will be working with you against the Deep Ones

-[X] LOOT AND MAPS
--[X] In short, any and all intel of Westeros which we would consider useful should be gathered here
---[X] Especially loot, tell us all about the loot we'd want to know about
----[X] How many Valyrian Dragon eggs in Westeros is Varys aware of, and where are they?
----[X] Does he know where the Royce ancestral Valyrian Steel blade is?
--[X] Take your Map of Westeros, as well as the individual maps of each of the Seven Kingdoms (Map of the North, Map of the Vale, Map of the Riverlands, Map of the Stormlands, Map of the Westerlands, Map of the Iron Islands, Map of the Crownlands, Map of the Reach, Map of Dorne), and have Bloodraven scan through Varys' mind, then update the maps to include the locations of supernatural creatures that Varys is aware of, like fey courts, local monstrous humanoids, openings to the Underdark, lairs of Winterborn servants, etc., everything that Varys has heard about and kept track of, along with updating them with whatever intel Bloodraven may be willing to share.
--[X] Ask Bloodraven to scan Varys' mind and make you a full Map of the Red Keep, complete with secret tunnels, hidden chambers, etc.
--[X] Ask Bloodraven to make a Map of King's Landing using Varys' intelligence.
---[X] If he is worried about the information being divined, these particular maps will always be under our Mind Blank and will be stored in our cloak unless we're personally using them.
--[X] Ask Bloodraven to update your Legendary Map of the Far North
--[X] Can Bloodraven do us a favor and point us to the adamantine mine wherever it may be near Dyre Den? If we're told where it is we can tell Lord Brune where to start mining and help him diversify his income.

They are forcing our hands by being completely unreasonable. I mean, a Red Dragon is willing to accept us his superior and yet they won't? Most Gods don't try to mess with us this much either.

Hah. Sure. The only Gods we've berated into doing what we want have been dead ones. And Ameralth obeys us because he swore to do so when we had him over a barrel - and will likely renew that oath when it comes due, simply due to how much more powerful we'll have become. But the fae...the Fae are odd creatures, in the end timelessly bound to their nature.

We got through to Ameralth because we worked that nature to our ends, as has been the case in many of our victories in that arena. Why people are dismissing even attempting to try such out-of-hand is quite beyond me. The Fae, as a unified force, are probably as or more dangerous to us then those of Always Winter. Prompting them to unify against us wouldn't just be stupid to the point of insanity, it would be likely suicidal in the long run.

To put it another way, this is certain parts of the thread renewing its' love for Relath type salt when other powers show ability and willingness to defy us.

Quest mechanically penalizes gender. I will pass.
:/
No it doesn't. That was a "character creation only" thing: you could only pick so many unusual options. It wasn't a mechanical penalty of any kind.

It's based on an existing setting in which far more women than men get powers (well, without mutating or dying) for some reason. Presumably the author wanted to try for some sort of social commentary or something. But once the dude in question has his superpowers, he doesn't seem weaker than anyone else. A dude called Zeus rules most of the planet in the original serial, and the strongest person in the world is an African-American woman that everybody hates and fears but who's still living her best life anyway.
Living her best life as an evil piece of shit, but living her best life nonetheless :D

Hey, there's one somewhat obscure feat for casters, Sorcerers even I think, that only the females of that one region can take, that's absolutely amazing.

While the male equivalent is some shit like Toughness.
Worse: there are whole PrCs like that!
Ever heard of Durthan? It's an amazing Tier 1 PrC (for Sha'ir, or Theurges) with the absurdly good "Place Magic" ability (Acorn of Far Travel, yeah!), that allows you to cast any spell known without preparation.
It's also unavailable to men.

Well, as a DM, I wouldn't uphold any gender restrictions on classes or feats, since it's usually pretty stupid.
+1

Can you give me a link. Mate
The Quest. We play an Ultrahuman (superpowered) fighter in the service of the Ultra-supremacist Regime, who is secretly a member of the Ultra-hating group Kill Every Monster. Her healing power means that she's old enough to remember the fall of civilization at the hands of Ultra warlords, and so she hates them all.

The Web Serial the quest's setting is based on. Reading it shouldn't be necessary to follow the quest (the quest if just starting, and the author is paying attention to exposition) but the serial was pretty good so I would suggest reading it.
To summarize: civilisation is dying, but not mankind. Superpowered humans known as "Ultras" roam, and everything is a chaotic shitpile. No controlling Lawful Evil Dystopia here - just feuding warlords who act like they're gods all over Pantheon territory, one asshole ruling all of America and bullying the world with her insane personal power, and one last police state in Europe fighting back against the Ultra hordes and their human ("dagger") groupies/slaves/followers.
The main characters are enforcers working for the American dictator, even though they all hate and fear her. Trouble is, they each have their own traitorous ambitions and then [PLOT HAPPENS].
Great twists, interesting worldbuilding, and a the writing isn't bad either. Most of its readers are on another website, but it's crossposted here very week.

I'm perfectly willing to go to war with the Fey if they refuse to obey our laws in our realm. It'll be good XP for our baby mages, especially those we teach Junglerazer, or provide it to them in PoSK form.

The problem is that, as described, the Fae's very nature is what plays against us. They just won't accept our rules. And we can't bullshit them around into doing it because they are all about bullshitting. None of the solutions described will work. Marrying them to the nobility will be outright counterproductive because the nobility's just as unruly and merely less capable.

We should still probably raise his mom as well.

This could also be a way to get the Starks to our side. Its how we got Dorn after all, by resurrecting the sister of the ruling lord, who died because of their relationship with our brother.

It would also make a nice pattern, securing the South and North of the Seven Kingdoms in the same way.

It could also be really awkward when Lyanna and Elia meat....

Between fey murder and not fey murder my stance has always known. However I don't want a forever war with the fey. If stories are how we win then that's the game we play. Plus we will still kill fey. There are plenty that are shit bags towards life

Don't marry them into the nobility, just mix blood with. Make them focus on their silly little intrigues but as soon as any overtly break the laws *BAM* Them and everyone connected to them dies. It's like controlling crime, if there's always going to be plotting and scheming nobles they may as well be useful (In this case as a living soap opera)

Hey pot, kettle here. You are blindly swinging at the whole thread. :V

@Snowfire has a point here. The thread loves to takes peoples nature as irrefutable and unchangeable constants and then rages whenever it causes are problem or is blindly accepting their bullshit as if it was divine decree.

Bloodraven just flat out told us that Fey can be changed by changing their narratives. So let's do that instead of pointlessly salting around.

There should be way more effective spells for enthralling victims, DPs ruling is that Hearts Ease can't erase trauma, but artificial madness, is exactly the kind of thing mind-healing D&D spells should be most useful for.

I mean Dresden Mind manipulation, seem most like a form of ability drain to me, so a Restoration spell should break the damage the magic has done, though of course the trauma of what you were made to do, while your mind was altered should linger with you, but Dresden Mind manipulation, should work either like that or like a madness curse.

It's not like the reason Dresden mind damage is so hard to undo is conceptual, it's because it's exponentially easier in Dresden to break a mind than to put it back together, so this is one of the places, where D&Ds magic being much better at such things, should mean that it can put it together.

Also remember that DP ruled Heart's Ease, work better on cases such as staring into the Far Realm and being driven mad, than on cases of mundane trauma, and Dresden Mind magic, is more like the Far Realm madness than mundane trauma.

I get D&D magic not being able to erase black magic corruption, I don't agree with it but I get it, black magic leaves a stain on the soul that can't be erased, but mind magic has never been said to corrupt just break, and fixing broken things is something D&D magic excels at.

The thing DP nixed was Heart's ease just removing was mundane mental problems, he hasn't nixed Heart's ease removing magically caused mental problems, and that's exactly what is preventing Dresden mind magic victims from recovering, so with Heart's Ease they should be able to recover with time and help, as while they still have all the memories to keep them traumatized, the damage done by the spells themselves, as opposed to what they were made to do by the spells, has been reversed.

Of course they should still need a long time to recover, but it should be what they were made to do, and how long they were there that matter, not how much their minds were ravaged by magic.
I beg to disagree. In Dresden Files, mental compulsion is clumsy as hell. Removing mental compulsions is all well and good, but the spell also causes side-effects that weren't directly caused by the magic at all! And being mind-controlled is traumatic in and of itself, of course.
Think of it this way: a Fighter walks into a china shop. We can repair the items that he cuts in half with his sword, but not the ones he accidentally knocked off the shelf and stepped on. For those, we can give a little help but not fix directly.

At least that seems to be what Snowfire is going with. Not sure I agree (I like the "Heart's Ease fixes everything because it's magic, now move on") but it's consistent with the quest at least. And it's true that Heart's Ease can damage plotlines quite a bit just by existing.

Bloodraven just told us any concerted effort to do that will lead to war. We'll be sneaky about it, sure, but I'm not confident. Specially when they can wreck it just by being themselves and letting those tales spread, without any effort or even intention in their part.

You do realize Bloodraven just confirmed they'd rather go to war than follow our law when they come to our territory right?

No they'd rather go to war then simply be ruled over by us, considering they could very easily make our forests into death sentences for anyone that high level. They are ways to get them to play ball that don't have them ruling our people. Setting laws for visiting nobility would help not only with the fae, but with the Wind, and Earth Genies as well. Starting yet another war would be the dumbest fucking thing we could possible do when we've hardly tried to find a compromise.

Considering that we haven't suffered a major defeat in well over a year of real-time, this defeatist attitude is increasingly baffling to me.

No, it doesn't. You just have to give it the right dressing. And you're continuing to ignore the point that causing the Fae to unify against us by presenting ourselves as an existential threat would be rank idiocy. You're taking the worst possible interpretation of what Bloodraven has told us, assuming it to be absolute, and then somehow making a total jump around the Fae's greatest weakness and saying we can totes take 'em.

It's like...I can't even this logic chain.

Oh my god, no he hasn't. If we're not subtle about it, and try to blatantly shove them into a certain set of boxes? Oh yeah, that'll start a war and one we'll have very little chance of actually winning - we might be able to contain the Fae, but defeat them? In their Realm? Good fucking luck.

The solution here is to learn some subtlety, give the Fae lords some things to salve their pride on - something which comes from how mortals affect them - and then work towards a compromise point. Unless you're implying that the Shaitan and the Djinn should be wiped out because they don't operate under the same laws we do.

Hey pot, kettle here. You are blindly swinging at the whole thread. :V

I'm not wrong, though. A substantial, vocal portion of the thread is doing what I've said they are. I could have been a bit less indiscriminate, sure, but you yourself admit I have a point.

The propaganda plan costs us pretty much nothing at all, so how about trying that and keeping other things in the backhand until we are sure it's not working?
Fair, we need to do propaganda anyway for other things.

The Shaitan and Djinn don't feel the need to intervene here constantly. Even when they do eventually start doing it, they won't be doing for laughs. They also acknowledge us to a degree already. The problem with the Fae is they have a need to meddle for the sake of meddling, and they won't easily accept 'you can't do x'. They're also quite subtle themselves.

We don't even really need them to bend the knee. They can be foreigners so long as they're foreigners who abide by laws.
