Exactly, an excellent roll, one of 80 or higher. The chances of achieving it are so low that it's not worth it.The war can be prevented at this point with a excellent roll on the riskiest diplo action. We have little to lose if we fail. War? Most players want to declare war to Aquila, why else would the players do everything possible to encourage Aquila to fight in a war against us?
Edit: Who knows if we will still have this chance to reconcile next turn.
Also, the only thing we did to piss off Aquila is to have ships and help our neighbors with a monstrous infestation. And keep in mind that Brochard is aware that, sooner or later, our interests are going to collide.
