The crown was won fairly, by her own admission, by Garth the Green. Ownership then changed hands and is ours by Right of Conquest when Aegon slew all all the Gardeners on the Field of Fire. This then says it is either ours or they believe it to be Roberts. If it is the first then stand down and we will retrieve it. If the second, then you fight for The Usurper and that has consequences.

The thing is she is playing dirty and she has the home field advantage, since she has known these people much longer than you. IC this is supposed to feel unfair. Maybe the line is just too fine between that and the feeling that you are being railroaded out of character.

I will try to improve on finding the proper balance on this.
Balancing social combat. Oof.

Depends on their laws in these matters.

Might have been Garths alone and should have fallen back into fey-hands after his death.
No clue how they think about inheritance.

Just tell her that she's paying us to help the Tyrell's pay their side of the bargain.

Alternatively, she could simply have the Tyrell's pay us directly for it so the Tyrell's can then pay her.
Thing is, no payment besides fealty is going to be enough. Not sure how much you know about the background, but we are planning to invade Westeros pretty soon. We are not foolish enough to grant additional power to a fey Court in a land we plan to conquer without their ironclad allegiance.
She's also not willing to make any bargains with us for the crown because apparently the Tyrells need it to pay up on one they made. So sad for Mace.
Indeed, this is a problem entirely of Mace's own doing.

Hmm okay here's the thing though. Since the Reach cant pay up. The poor guy is going to die again and then we will swoop in and resurrect him. Drive a wedge in the Reach. It could be seen as plotting though.

Notice, guys: she saw us asking for the court allegiance as a hostile move, sort of going "sure, just give me the moon", the sort of request so unreasonable you make as to give a thin veneer of justification to you doing whatever you want.

And here I thought she knew what draconic prode entailed.

Still, slow down a bit and consider that.

[X] Plan Measuring The Rope
-[X] Look directly at Paxter and for a moment. "It is a dreadful day for a father to outlive his son. A pain that I had not to endure and hopefully never will, yet I know all too many who had to bury their kin. What they would give to turn back such a dreadful turn of fate... More then once I saw such grief exploited by those who care little for the fate of men. One has to hope that the lord of the Fey would take umbrage at such sinister dealings." // Shot in the dark. It seems exceedingly likely that Paxter is here as the result of honoring a bargain that he struck for the life of his son. This should either get a telling reaction from Paxter or a nice rise out of our Fey problem.
-[X] Back to the Fey: "It seems we are at an impasse then. We speak a lot about bargains, yet no matter how often I ask you for an offer, you made none. Even worse, you imply that I would break such a deal. Considering how my subjects were treated by you and that you threw a spell at me while I asked for parley..." Shake your head her for emphasis, as if scolding a child. "I have offered plenty of trust and goodwill and in return I got rudeness and slander. Mayhaps Mace Tyrell will be more amenable to a fair deal, should I approach him with the crown in hand. Or some other member of you court might be inclined to speak to me about it. I'm sure there are those more well versed in negotiation who would be willing to try." // Either we are suggesting something she desperately does not want, like dealing with Mace directly or asking others of her court about this, or we piss her off something fierce. Win-Win.
-[X] Back to Paxter: "Lord Redwyne, I would ask you to move your ships away from these waters while I will retrieve the crown." // Playtime is over.
-[X] If she comes again with her 'threat of force' spiel: "You were offered parley not once, not twice, but trice and even then, I could only force you to this table. Do you truly think me daft enough to believe that you would not have attacked other ships who would have contested your attempts at salvaging this ship? No matter how deftly you dressed them up as requests, you have demanded time and time again what you could not claim by might alone. Let us 'negotiate' one last time then. What is it that you want in return for troubling my subjects no longer and letting them carry out their task to claim this crown in my name?"

Not my most inspired work, but... really...

I would love to take just the first stab into the dark and then go from there based on Paxters and her reaction, but that would be a dreadfully short chapter, so we might as well end this now.

I'm aware. I meant in terms of the oath being the payment, as, after all, we seem to be willing to have the oath go a number of ways.

We obviously want them to swear to us, but I'm pretty sure I recall us stating that we are fine with her swearing to another lord, even one that isn't yet working for us, as long as the lord isn't a total fool, so that's also on the table. There's been no mention of it but I'm pretty sure we'd agree to give up the crown in exchange from the Reach/Tyrell swearing loyalty to us, which, I mean, they do want the crown as well.

Sure, the Reach/Tyrell's probably aren't willing to become our vassals solely for the Crown ... but it's also not like the Crown is the only reasoning for them to decide to become our vassals. There's a ton of other reasons for them to support us in the coming war, even the simple fact that we are real powerful, so the Crown might simply serve to act as one coin among many to buy their services.

So the fealty is, probably, the only acceptable payment (I say probably because, well, you never know what they might offer. Even just something like some really detailed oaths that set established rules/behaviors that would stop them from being a problem while not actually working for anyone foreign might do it, as long as it's backed up by other stuff). The only question is, well, who the payment is coming from and who it's going to.

Edit: Actually, the agreement thing might be acceptable? Like, clearly fealty to us is best, but Fae can't exactly lie or break their agreements. If they swear a detailed enough oath that assure us that they will be beneficial to the realm and not really act against it or anything, an alliance instead of part of the kingdom ... it might be possible? It would have to be real detailed, with no loopholes, nothing overlooked, and with part of the oath on not interfering too much .... but it might be workable?

Clearly, fealty to us is best, but we should seriously consider what kind of terms would we be willing to go for if fealty is impossible. Cause I get the feeling that just never trading it to them would make an enemy of the Fae and possibly the Reach as well, so we should seriously think about if there are any terms we'd be satisfied with aside from straight up swearing to become our loyal subjects.

I saw the name of the vote and that was it. Might not be your best work, but it'll do.
Thing is, I would love to drag this out a bit, but she got the NPC advantage in this.

At this point, we are basically vaguely shitting on each other, but she can get in multiple good shots a chapter while we can only give one well aimed retort and have to take everything else.

She said a lot of stuff I want to slap in her face, but the format just isn't well suited to that.

I can and will come up with arguments for Viserys myself as needed, depending on the rolls, though granted they will not have the bonuses from being write-ins.

Good night guys, see you all in the morning.

We have benefited from that in the past though. Long tirades being inserted into the update even when I expected NPCs to derail us totally, because (IMO) DP wanted to include our write-in.
