So I was just thinking, Dany bought some pretty weird magical confection in the Opaline Vault, and I'm almost certain similar ingenious sweets exist in Armun Kelisk.

One of which is almost certainly bound to be made using easy access to ice magic.

Similarly, an inventive merchant could spend some money on Liquid Ice vials thinking they might be able to sell cold spiced liquors to the well-to-do of Sorcerer's Deep, but then hit upon another idea when he passes a stone giant with a dairy cow cradled in their arms...

[X] "I have seen little that endeared them to me. Their power is only shiny baubles and brittle collars, which they waste on squabbling amongst each other. One shudders to imagine what their flailing would get them against a foe less blatant in his acts then that dragon they are so scared of."

Oh, this looks solid. Vote closed.

@DragonParadox, regarding the Tree of the Dawn Age, we were planning on having our boon from the Old Gods and Bloodraven be to forge a Gate between that tree and Bloodraven's tree so that we could fight the Long Night more easily (with all appropriate security measures).

However... that really shouldn't be able to take up all the energy. We are planning a truly massive sacrifice. Could the Old Gods use whatever excess is left to make all existing Weirwood Heart Trees completely immune to fire after we complete our research?

Make it an interlude where he arrives and tries to wow the locals, only for them to do all they can to hide their amazement at his flying ship and act all blazé.
The vote isn't going anywhere anyway.

I thought about it but I'm not feeling an interlude right now. All my attention is on all the stuff happening in Lys

Those tasks are too thematically disparate so unfortunately not

What about doing away with the Gate linking them and instead establishing a Heart Tree transportation network instead?

The Tree of the Dawn Age could act as the hub, connecting all other Heart Trees. If you are authorized, you can touch the tree then be Teleported unerringly to the desired Heart Tree, and vice versa.

It would be an efficient means to transport officials, special agents, and other VIPs throughout the realm without needing a level 9+ mage to Teleport them one or more times. Would also help to keep SD as the heart of the Imperium.

If we could do that, and appease the OG, what kind of personal blood sacrifice would be needed to pay for that? 5 HP?
