The bonus domain (probably Domination) is absolutely fantastic. Seriously it adds a bunch of good mind-control spells to his spell list and gives him Spell Focus (Enchantment).
Then there are a bunch of decent class features. Nothing to write home about, but nothing bad either. A bit of free healing every day, immunity to disease and poison, no more penalties from aging... The Spell Resistance is nice but only against lower-level spellcasters (it's 10+Class Level).
And then there's an absolutely fantastic capstone ability he'd get at lv10 in the class (so low epic levels) which makes him a Native Outsider (great for Alter Self, less great in case he needs to be raised from the dead) and gives him excellent Damage Reduction (20/+1).

EDIT: When we'll all be in the epic levels we'll have the ressources to Raise Outsiders from the dead anyway, so becoming a Native Outsider is less of a problem.
And it does give him Darkvision 60ft too right? Does it stop him aging?

So he'd get the capstone at level 25?

I'm against giving him a custom PrC. We have way too many of those going around at this point. Reign yourselves in people!

Nope.

Costume setting demands costume prc's. Why have to choose fluff or crunch when you can have both?

...I know the thread hates Burny so much, but you can't deny that he has power. We even talked to him. What if we were to harness that power instead? A sect like Benerro's perhaps? One that can tolerate other religions, just a little preachy.

So some points on getting to the good side of R'hllor:

*Valyria, and most Free Cities had coexisted with them for centuries with no problem.
*The Light of Creation texts gives huge bonuses if you are a follower of the Red Faith.
*They are very tolerant of sorcery and blood magic.
*Fire is not their only weapon, Shadowbinders in canon are powerful.
*Lawful Evil religion. They will not bat an eye in summoning demons/devils as means to an end, then sacrifice them to Burny.
*Another sacrifice outlet.
*Bunch of bodies to throw against the Long Night.
*Fire Wights!
My endgame for this cleric isn't to make him found his own sect of R'hllorism, it's to make him fall. I want a concept cleric here. It'd be great if we could throw him at Malarys and get another Cloistered Cleric of the Law.

Except he also has these troubling doctrinal points like all men being his slaves. And while when he was gone his clergy spouting that crap just made them mildly creepy now he's here in full force.

We can't have a 'sect' that preaches a more moderate version of the gospel because if their God doesn't agree with that approach, he can smite them.

In short powerful Lawful Evil religion that wants to enslave everyone to their God. None of this is a good thing.

Huh. Good point. The first time we saw her she tried to fight us, so I guess that my first impression was that of a fighter. But making her fight now really is a dick move isn't it?
And the build I gave her really isn't one for fights at all. Still, I don't particularly care if she doesn't fight directly unless attacked. Touch of Healing makes her a good healer: endless healing up to 1/2 HP is pretty great after battles for example.
Eventually she'll level once or twice again I suppose.
She don't want to fight, but it's not because she is afraid of battle, it's because she's tired of hurting people, I don't think she would be against joining a PC group, as the healer and support mage, she just don't want to kill anymore.

I read that more as "I want to help people instead of hurting them." She may be fine helping when fiends attack, but I think she wouldn't be fine with a group (of adventurers) fighting humans.

[X] I do believe the deep waters would benefit from more light, it is the fire i think would present a logistical problem (smile), have you considered that perhaps they are not meant to serve your god in the same way you believe men are?.
-[X] As for royal favor for your temple, I admit I am not the most pious man, the grand temples you see here on my kingdom are not a tribute, but evidence of a bond, as they stood with me and my companions in our time of need, so will we help them and their followers against our mutual enemies. Should the day come when i can truly say the Lord of Light has stood with me against the enemies of mankind, and the opportunity presents itself to create a temple around an artifact of his power, then you shall have my favor.

I really don't like making open-ended promises to Rhllor.

I get all your points, I just want to float an idea.

We'll have citizens that are followers of their faith after the coming conquest anyway so why not a state sanctioned sect that keeps everyone happy?
I also just want to see what a full powered Cleric of R'hllor can do with the Light of Creation texts.
Being friendly with them might also help us when we finally visit Asshai.

Anyway, these are just musings. Everyone seems dead set on making an enemy, or at least ignoring the Red Faith.

Draconic Glory Temple next please!

As for the temple description, i'm thinking:
The face of the temple opens on the cliffside, twin piers extend from it, providing a place for boats and small ships to set anchors.
The walls on the entrance are covered in depictions of the parables of the Merling king, the walls encrusted with pearls, colorful shells and pieces of coral.
The entrance to the temple is actually the second level, as a lower passage, no less adorned than the first one provides passage to the merfolk and other aquatic denizens.
The main hall of the temple itself is a spiral around the Godsblood Altar, alternating strips of land and water.
I really don't like making open-ended promises to Rhllor.
It gives them something to look forward to, we get to decide when he has fulfilled his part after all.

The problem with promises mortals make to gods is, that the god decides when the promise is fulfilled, not vice versa.
But its not a promise to his god, is a promise to him, in fact i would argue that Rhllor trying to force the promise would count against it, this is after a partnership, not devotion.

[X] Plan Without A Fancy Name
-[X] "There is far more truth in the sailors yarn in these dark times then we would like. Vast are the powers arrayed against us and yet we squabble among each other instead of uniting against them."
-[X] "I must admit my knowledge of the Red Gods scripture is far from perfect, so tell me Baedor, do you believe in fate?"
-[X] "I ask this question, for our meeting here feels like a mirror of a day long ago. It was the power of the god who this temple here will honor that I invoked to protect the faithful of yours in Lys. Demon caller they branded me for my aid and told me to not darken their halls any longer. And now here you stand before me, talking about erecting such a place in my lands."
-[X] "You would not be here, had I no hope for this endeavor. I saw the depraved acts perpetrated by the creatures some in Essos call gods, so I know that the wariness of the Red Priests is far from unfounded, yet you will find those honored on these shores an all-together different sort."
-[X] "Many a Red Priest spoke of Light to me, yet all too many also spoke of chains and it was flames they promised at the barest mention of other gods and their workings. Should I build a temple for your god, would it be content to sit among the others? Next to the temple of the Great Serpent? Among the trees of the Old Gods? By the temple of the Merling King? Or would it preach to cast those others down and bring new yokes to the necks of those living on these shores, who gave so much blood to cast them off?"
-[X] "We can't afford disunity in the face of the trials to come. The Great Enemy stirs and they will care little what god holds sway over our souls, when they come to snuff us out. Gladly I will erect a temple to a god that brings light to banish the darkness, but I cannot invite one who would rather see our bulwarks burn then to share them with others."
-[X] Leave a short pause after his reply and idly offer: "Should you wish to bear witness as this temple here is consecrated, none shall bar your passage."

Edit: This is half a conversation, though I didn't type out my guesses for his responses to each segment. I've ran this against both Sensible-Red and BURN-THEM-ALL-McGee and they should fit equally well.

Furthermore, I would like to express my regret at not being able to discuss theology in depth with him, due to the constraints of the quest format.

I'm pretty sure I can outpreach the guy by a wide margin.

That speech sounds far too close to promising to build an actual temple for Burny.

Please, no. At least have them pay for it.

Nah, we shouldn't share that fight.

When winter sends any actual champion we'll roast it personally.

If we are making a temple, we are making it with Dragons and Flames, so that we corrupt him to be a priest of draconic Glory or something and we already have our temple.
