Wait, they're fine with it being slapped with True Death(not on their terroritory, nor is it a citizen), but not sacrificed to the OGs? I'm confused.
We cleared it up, they will have no problem with us capturing it for sacrifice, but we need to make clear it's for sacrifice, because they don't approve of enslaving genies, out of some idea that enslaving one genie, make you more inclined to enslave other genies including them.

There is this whole "genie lamps", "genie rings" and "grant a wish and I let you free" thing.

So are there plans for another prestige class for viserys once he finishes dragon blooded and becomes a true dragon? An upgrade to the sorcerer class I would try to get if possible.

Hmm.
Chances are, he's just distracting us all the way so his companion/minions/slaves can get a straight shot at shaitans.
Make Richard be on guard and ready to pounce into whatever suddenly comes up on them?

@Artemis1992 @Takesis @Diomedon @TalonofAnathrax Why Goldfish's instead of mine?

Mine is more or less better in every way.

Not if I prefer to kill this fellow rather than capture him. Viserys didn't make his knowledge ID check on the Black Jinni, so to him it's just a nasty servant of the Sultan. It doesn't meet the requirements for sacrifice without the OOC knowledge of it's true nature. So, rather than vote for the OOC sacrifice route, I'll stick to the IC kill enemies plan.

All enemies are potential sacrifices, since when do we care about identifying them first?

... Vile damage is not just candy.

Thing is, trying to take a powerful enemy alive is a natural instinct. It can tell us about it's employers, what his weapons/items are and how do they work, lot's of things that are too unwieldy to ask a scull about. Breaking the will of an asshole with epic-level-buffed skills is easier than trying to find a loophole in a spell. And Viserys does aknowledge his skills in lying and manipulating in character, so I don't think he'll find doing so to a malevolent creature of dark nature too distasteful. Our little Vizzy is a practical person, after all :3
Sacrifice is just a cherry on top, the way to reliably kill some really nasty things by feeding them to yss or just making sure that disposal of bodies won't take time and getting additional resources by dealing with OGs.

Hey, that sacrifice route is perfectly IC.

It dealt vile damage and is working for the sultan, both of those are sacrifice worthy offenses, the Sultan certainly count as an enemy of humanity, so his followers count for enemies of humanity, just as much as followers of the Drowned god such as Damphair do, and vile damage is inherently evil to the point it can be argued to be sacrifice worthy by itself.

All in all, even without that Black Jinni knowledge check, it has already proven itself to be bad enough to merit sacrificing it.

Sacrifices are great, but sometimes we just need to destroy our enemies in a display of overwhelming magical power.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but too much of our planning and combat is built around capturing stuff for sacrifice... :o

Basically this.

Everything on the side of the civilization that forges Living Brass is automatically sacrifice fodder just waiting to be captured.

I have to agree. Anything capable of inflicting Vile damage is automatically valid fertiliser.
If you believe that, you might want to switch your vote to TNE, I'm assuming you have just forgotten to, seeing as you are still voting for the old plan destruction, if it was deliberate I would expect you to switch to the new plan destruction.

We kind of need sacrifices. Like, we need them a lot. We have Heart Trees to grow, a hungry god to feed, a Merling King temple to sanctify, etc. Please don't prevent us from getting the wonderful sacrifice floating in front of us.

I hadn't even thought about the Living Brass, I was just comparing him to Sahuagin, because even without Living Brass, Efreets treat their slaves about the same as Illithid, which mean their servants should be treated like Sahuagin.

Maelor or Viserys, I guess. If it comes to it we can Resilient Sphere around it and have Maelor push the turtle to the shore.

That won't work imo. Can't move the sphere I think. Turtle falls to bottom of sphere and then we stone-shape (via grateful genie) a cylinder under it to let the turtle fall into -at will, so she can just make a platform reach up.

@Goldfish I'm still for killing this over bp'ing it, but can you add in to Resilient sphere the falling staff/corpse(ashes?)/other loot, possibly clerity + sphere if we need the time, and then stone shape a platform later when we've checked that it's cleared.

Jokingly add that we might like to learn more about the services of these curse breakers when we pick up (with lead gloves/carefully) inferior!staff

...
I admit, I want to kill it so that we can just beat down a monster and have our damage dealing friends not attack and then be faced with surprise!helpless!turtle making their actions utterly irrelevant.

It wouldn't make their actions irrelevant. They'd be helping to distract the genie. Their efforts are exactly what would allow us to BP it, we probably wouldn't be able to do it alone. And then they get to gloat along with us as we pick up the once mighty genie now trapped in a small animal's body.
