No.

For me getting the Children settled in and learning what they want and can offer in return has priority, so I keep the chat with Asha short.
We can discuss that stuff well after she becomes a captain.
I definitely disagree there. We all know just how difficult it is to finally corner a character so we can talk about something. If we're talking with Asha I have no intention of letting her slip away without discussing everything important.

[X] Speak to Moonsong, Theon, and Asha about their expedition
-[X] Keep it to a report, try to leave time for the CotF
--[X] But that aside, make time to sit down and have a chat with Asha Greyjoy concerning the Deep Ones, her future as ruler of the Iron Islands, and anything she might wish to speak of

[X] Speak to the Children of the Forest about their plans
-[X] Try to find out what they might want besides being here and seeing human lands. Ask for the reasons for their dwindling population, if it's something related to fertility or something else you can help with assure you''ll work on a way.
-[X] Meanwhile try to find out if they can use any magic, either inherently or from the Old Gods and if either of that could be taught to humans.
-[X] Ask what manner of housing they prefer, we can produce almost anything, though a full forest would be difficult on these islands.

[X] In the meantime, Ser Richard spars with Bronn to get a better feel for his abilities.

I'm looking forward to seeing her in action. An interlude from the PoV of a detachment of Tyroshi soldiers who keep dying to arrows striking from an unseen source would be fun, too.
While he would never admit so out loud, Jalaerys was quacking in his boots and he didn't really feel any shame for that. A city guard like him was meant to break up a fight between drunkards or arrest the odd murderer, not repel an invasion. Especially not something like what was happening to Tyrosh right now. The ships had come in the dead of night and the Blood Tower had given no warning about it, the entire fleet only being spotted when it was close enough for the guards on the walls to see them. And then came the dragon. Nobody knew if it was really one or if it was the last Dragonlord using his fell magic to become one. Even now some of the other guards around him debated the issue, some claiming a beast having come for them like the stories told about Tolos, while others thought they saw the Targaryen in that half glimpsed shape and spoke of the heir of Valyria coming for what was his.

It didn't matter terribly much in the end, since nobody had any idea what was going on, let alone why. After that dragon had circled the city twice, it disappeared again and the explosions started. Screams could be heard and flames glimpsed over the roofs, but the inferno some dreaded had not happened. No one had heard about the Second Sons, some claiming they had fled in defeat, others that they turned their cloaks and joined the attackers. Instead there where rumors about demons walking the streets. Some spoke of black armored figures that crushed all in their path, others of misshapen beasts that slaughtered civilians. Some even said these demons fought against each other. A few of the lesser noble houses where trying to organize something resembling a defence, while no word was coming from the inner city. The forty families there had probably shut themselves in with their Unsullied to weather the storm. That some spoke of screams and unnatural lights coming from their manses might mean that they failed.

As a lone horse approached them through the darkness, the two captains that found their way to the barracks with them called for attention. Fat lot of good it had done them to come here, for the armory was picked clean. With talk about the slave pens near the markets emptying out, it was not hard to guess where their gear had gone. Out of the darkness came a rider in fancy and expensive looking armor, though the elaborate helmet resembling a golden hawk was more gaudy then intimidating, his horse making a series of weird thudding sounds as it stopped. The noble lifted his arm to get their attention, but as he opens his mouth to speak, no words come forth. Instead a veritable torrent of blood flows from his lips, choking out any noises he might have wished to make. For a long moment, the man stares in incomprehension at the red coating his armor, before he gracelessly slides from his saddle and lands face first on the cobblestone.

The whole plaza was dead silent as everyone took in the four arrows that stuck in the nobles back. The frail looking wood had punched right through his plate. Jalaerys wished nothing more then being home with his wife right then, yet he couldn't just run away with so many witnesses who could attest to his desertion. Dreading the orders he might get, he looked to the two captains like many others around him. As he saw the two, his breath caught in his throat. Both captains stood there, still as statues, with two arrows each coming out of the eye holes of their helmets. Like the noble before them, the fell to the ground like puppets with their strings cut. And so Jalaerys of Tyrosh turned and ran, the confused few of the city guard around him following suit.

Edit: This is why I gave her Mosquitos Bite. It just makes such great horror movie material.

@DragonParadox, at the beginning of the turn we voted to have one of the Valyrian Steel axes set aside for Asha, the haft stylized with the Greyjoy Kraken by our finest artisans. Can we assume that's ready?

@Artemis1992 Have Ser Richard test Bronn.
Done.

I believe, from @DragonParadox writing on the topic that we won't get a sufficiently long talk with Asha, a report from Moonsong and the CotF talk and the latter two are tohe more immediate issues.

Would be great if we could do all three.

I can understand us not having the time to fit in a Dragonstone expedition into the end of the month, but even if we're stuck in front of Moonsong and the Children for hours on end we should still be able to do everything. Long-winded or no, Viserys straight-up wouldn't have the patience to sit through multiple days of Moonsong's bragging. That would take up one dinner at maximum. The Children of the Forest might take more than one day, but for asking simple things like, "how do you like it here" or "is there anything you would like to see more of" etc shouldn't take more than two days. I'm perfectly fine with spending the extra time on the children, but the conversation with Asha at the very least would only take a few hours at most.

Five free days. Long-winded or no, there is no reason we shouldn't be able to fit all of these in here. @DragonParadox, can you address this?

I think thats too much for a vote.

We always take insanely long to talk to people for some reason.

If I read all Bloodraven-updates out loud I'd still be wondering what to do with the rest of the day and the only talking mentioned offscreen was learning the VS-steel ritual.
It still took days to get it all done.

That's not exactly a new problem either. Talking is like an anti-free action, it blocks the rest of the day or more to have a chat we could have in half an hour.

I'm disappointed by Moonsong's name.
She could have been Moonsong in daylight (which would have been weird and magical) but instead she just had to go mainstream and be Moonsong at midnight.
You're a Fey! Act like it!

Something for the next turn plan, and godswood; If we could aquire ironwood I bet that would make for stronk ships.

I seriously want to research a way to take the supposedly "free actions" that talking is supposed to be, and cut out every last bit of time-consuming smalltalk. Smalltalk always seems to get in the way when we have more important things to discuss. :rage:

The whole talking time thing would be less annoying if we wouldn't get regularly reminded that somebody feels neglected.

So far we got that from Theon, the twins, Stannis and both Bronn and Taena seemed to veer there too.

By the way, @DragonParadox, has Tyene at least told us the reason for Nymeria spying on us? At least I hope it was only spying. I would be rather cross if she stole something.

Get some kind of telepatic link and talk with people while doing something else?

Theon in particular was annoying. We tried talking to him about the Deep Ones that one time and then our conversation was completely subverted in favor of "I want to see my sister again and am in no mood to talk before that".

Also what? Nymeria was spying on us?!
