Huh, I remember you telling me about Richard Swift way back when. How powerful is he exactly? I mean, damaging Wonder Woman and toying with the members of the Justice Society is a feat in and of itself, but power wise, is he cosmic level or is he toeing the line?
Jeez, I gotta start finding more guys like him in the DC verse.
Shade, indeed most if not absolutely all shadow manipulators in DC comics, draw upon a shadow dimension created by the Greater Darkness before it merged with the Hand that Krona saw make the universe.
Shade won the lottery of shadow manipulators, and, using the lantern corps as a guidelines, he's the closest thing the shadow manipulators have to an Entity since the Greater Darkness merged with god.
Powers shown- immortality, he can't die unless his shadow is stolen, create shadow demons that can develop minds of their own and/or summon demons from the shadow dimension, if not both, create or destroy darkness, create solid shadow constructs for defense and offense, teleport himself and others, time travel, and even imprison people in the darklands.
Power level wise, it once took the Starheart to put him in a coma, and Dr Fate told him that "the Spectre himself would have trouble with you."
If he thought of it, he could probably start producing shadow lantern rings and form his own shadow lantern corps.
Paul and Shade having some tea-
"Shadow lantern, really? A bit of a misnomer, don't you think?"
"Well, black lantern was already taken, darklight didn't do well with focus groups, shadow corps made us all sound like we belonged in a dungeons and dragons bestiary. More tea?"
