Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
Just go to sleep the vote wont be closed for a couple of days at least most likely, especially with the amount of people changing their votes constantly as their preferred option shifts up and down the list, it may in fact never settle whilst the vote is open due to that.
Maybe? Boney, of course, could decide whenever, but last I remember he mentioned something about likely closing it at forty eight hours or something. Plus I'm not super tired yet anyways so I'll still be just laying in bed wondering, which is never good.

I do not think that this is actually accurate. Mathilde needed to actively make an effort to reconnect with her roots during the first arc because of how young she was when she needed to flee and she never actually spent much time on it. Then after that first job she spent years in a dwarf-dominated multicultural community and has picked up a deepened distaste for many apsects of the empire. Mathilde is really only superficially a child of Stirland.

The interplay between the people of Sylvania and Mathilde is honestly one of the things that excite me the most about that option. Mathilde is not what they are going to expect from the empires latest attempt at imperialism and she herself will also have to grow to achieve anything in this position. I actually believe that they are quite well suited to each other. This future is going to be some weird found-family nation-building that will probably end with some wacky shit like an independent republic of Sylvania under the protection of the Karaz Ankor.
Mathilde is a dwarf now, there was even an official Conclave and everything :V

Mathilde might not see herself as a Stirlander, but I'm not sure the Sylvanian's will care about that since she was appointed by the Elector Countess of Stirland, who is also her boss. I'll admit, it will probably be quite interesting to read how Mathilde and the Sylvanian's get along and develop, if it wins.

Although, if you want a weird republic under Karaz Ankor protection, there is the Border Princess option as well :D

I blinked and all of a sudden, Bodyguard's in the lead

A historical vote is going down in SV right now, the first of several, since I suspect the Boon and Deed votes would be just as tightly contested, given how litigious the last Deed vote was. Especially since the Deed and Boon vote most coherent proposals so far come from the Research faction, which has been a permanent part of thread politics for a very long time.

I don't know why people don't like Heidi. She's a very interesting character that I would really like to see more of. We can be besties and do sleepovers and such
And maybe something more!~

But for real though, we won't be working for Heidi, we'll be working with her, for Ranald. He only work "for" Heidi as part of our cover. People who say "I don't like Heidi hence I don't want to work for her" don't understand the job...probably. I could be wrong.

I don't want to make any accusations but the last few people to vote have only voted for bodyguard and are also brand new accounts. With literally one post.

Either were overreaching and accomplish nothing, or we upend the fabric of the current Warhammer world.

I am not sure if you have the correct expectation. Waystones are not some kind of superweapon. They are infrastructure. Lots of upfront cost in exchange for a passive longterm benefit. The reasearch fortunately has two long-lived species as eager customers, but we the readers will likely only actually see tangible results in a timeskip after Mathilde either dies or gets retired from the position of protagonist.

The best way to do the Waystone Project is to vote for it. The second best way is to take a Research Sabbatical so Mat can expand her own understanding of the world, before she tries to tackle the biggest, hardest puzzle on the planet.
For all that Waystone network is losmagitech even for its original builders and leagues ahead of budding human magical knowledge, it definitely is not "the biggest, hardest puzzle on the planet". Even in the field of "engineering" puzzles there's far more of Old Ones' left, not to mention all the fundamental [meta]physical knowledge never gotten by humans. Don't overestimate importance.

Either were overreaching and accomplish nothing, or we upend the fabric of the current Warhammer world.
...same advice.

There is a reason we went to Heidi and not the chancellor about this job, yes it aids Ranald, it also is working for Heidi.

It could be lurkers who want to vote in this case?

Guys please don't rig the vote. I had my hopes up and everything :(

Eh, you guys are underestimating the waystones. They, and the vortex, are the only reason the old world isn't drowning in deamons. The fall of the way stone network is the reason dwarves have resigned themselves to slowly dying out, whether they know it or not. The Elves like to pretend they're above it all, but I'm pretty sure they are in decline in the current age too. Waystones are the gateway to a lot of change and could significantly alter the fate of the world, just like the original collaboration did.

Eh, I doubt a couple of votes are that suspicious. I was lurker for at least a year until there was a vote I really wanted to weigh in on.
This is also true. My first post on all 3 sites - SB, SV and QQ were all vote posts within minutes of making an account.

Once is incidence, twice is coincidence, thrice is probably a pattern unless someone is out there campaigning to have people who just read and don't vote to make accounts and actually vote.

I mean, making a vote in a quest I had been lurking in for a while was also my first post, so it's not totally out there, unless it's a really large number.
(Durin's Embers in the Dusk, though it might have had a different name back then?)

Edit: Correcting myself, the vote was my second post, not the first.
