I think we need to stop putting off talking to people guys. We have basic protection, we have a body that can do the talking, unless we hold off until we can just take the whole planet with just our forces, which is going to be a long, long time, we need to start getting allies on the outside, which means deciding Government or Ad Mech?

Not like we can't feel out both. In fact, I think spending a turn or two on that is probably wise to do before deciding. Playing both sides isn't out of the question. Subvert the Mechanicus and gov both. Or play them against eachother a bit.
But yes, it's probably time to send out our avatar into society, get a bit of a census on actual public opinion instead of just the raw intellectual data. Ultimately, I think we need more info to truly know the better path to take.

[] Plan: Preparation for Planning
-[] Construction: 125/150
--[] Tech and Biolabs (100)
--[] Directional Radio Tower (25)
-[] Research: 200/200
--[] Combat Bot Humanisation (100) for the foreseeable future, we can't appear to be what we are. It'll get us killed. Security bots aren't much better. Mercs are better. Though depending on future plans we might need them to look more worn and improv than they are.
--[] Basics of Psytech (100) mostly to account for the points. Might as well spend em and all that.
-[] Avatar:
--[] Actions: Go to a nearby city, we know what the 'Net says, but we don't know what the actual people feel like about things, go visit, poke around a bit. Do some censuses to see what the people live like and feel like. Maybe set up to mingle for politics. Also, retrieve some tech bits.
-[] Database Dive: Politics, our existence is a contentious topic. We need to know what names to name, ears to whisper, and people to know to get things done. Who can we sway to our side? Both governmental and Mechanicus.

-[] Avatar Appearance: Someone native and normal, maybe above average in looks. Our V1 Avatar is nice and all, as is personality. But for now we need more a face to play politics and shit. Lets leave settling on a proper "face" to represent Vita for the V2 that can customise.
The fact is also that I don't personally really care. What did her original avatar look like anyways? Building off that for the "self" seems like a good idea.

Also, we already did the database hacks. Maybe remove em from the options?
I don't have any good ideas for the last 25 BP. Pretty the place up?

So here's what I have for diplomacy

[] Guardian Angel: Infiltrate the datanets of the Aevon security services and the nearest Mechanicum enclave. In each case seek out a mid to high level operative whose personnel file marks them as mentally flexible and ambitious. Play the role of a mysterious benefactor using your insights into the other powers and technological databanks to help them get ahead. Do not spefifically lie about who you are, but run with any assumptions they make, seeking to show them more and more of the truth as you help them and build trust.

Basically we need to think like an infiltrator since straight diplomacy is an all or nothing gamble at this point, we need allies on the inside, an inner circle of trusted humans.

-[] Hack into secure governmental databases (100 RP) You have access to the datanet. You could probably hack into the governmental databases and learn what secrets they're hiding. Helps you understand how they'd react if you contacted them directly. Maybe other secrets, like why this world is named Denva Secundus and not Denva Prime. (Half of the prereq for basic hacking of low imperial systems).

-[] Hack into Mechanicus databases (250 RP) You have next to no information on the Adeptus Mechanicus, though there aren't very many of them here. You could hack into their databases and see what you can find. Learned what their tech-priests know might tell you a lot about how the Imperium functioned. (Half of the prereq for basic hacking of mechanicus systems).
We finished these research projects, so they shouldn't be on the list anymore.

We did these actions this chapter, so they should probably be removed from the research list.

I wonder if enough people worshipping Vita could give her a boost. Maybe she could even become the Omnissiah, certainly a better place for all that technological psychic energy to go to than beings like the Void Dragon or Vashtorr.

Hastune miku is a must

i dont care its a stupid idea.

Hastune miku in 40k is inherently funny.

admit it. You are not imune to anime girls becoming depressed over the state of the galaxy.

[]Plan: Becoming a merchant
-[] Free action: Look up how to become a businesswoman
-[] Diplomacy x2
--[] head to the nearby town and talk to the locals about what they need the most
--[] establish a presence online to see what is selling well and make connections
-[] Research x1
--[] Avatar self-customization (200 RP)
-[] Construction x1
--[] up to 50 BP on goods for trade
--[] Underground manufactory (100/300) plus whatever is left of the trade

I want to establish ourselves as a business as this will let us operate in all the states without too many questions being asked and the customization will let us be different people so infiltrating the Mechanicus is still an option. This will also let us buy the land we are occupying so we can build on the surface without anyone investigating too hard. However, it will mean we'll need to hire people if we want to build factories without the Cogboys getting all butthurt about automated manufactories.

So i wanna infiltrate the ad mech subvert them and turn them to a better purpose furthermore it would give us a shield for an imperial authority as i dont think we wanna play run and gun sim on evry imperial Planet.Big Plus if we get like the ad mech on pur planet to the point where we can build a forge world and we become the fabricator of it we habe so mich power its not even funny.

[] Plan Guardian Angel

In each case seek out a mid to high level operative whose personnel file marks them as mentally flexible and ambitious. Play the role of a mysterious benefactor using your insights into the other powers and technological databanks to help them get ahead. Do not specifically lie about who you are, but run with any assumptions they make, seeking to show them more and more of the truth as you help them and build trust.
[] Construction: 150/150
-[] Basic Biology Research Lab (50 BP, 50 CP) Will allow you to process basic biological samples, such as flora & fauna. Or captives.
-[] Basic Technological Research Lab (50 BP, 50 CP) Will allow you to process basic technological samples, to understand their electronics, materials, etc.
-[] Small automated medical facility (50 BP, 50 CP) 50 treatment rooms with autodocs capable of dealing with moderate injuries.
-[] Research 200/200
-[] Combat bot Humanization (100/100 RP) Your combat robots are obviously artificial, with metal skeletons and obvious sensors. But with a bit of tweaking you could make them look like humans in full-body armor. That would include the ability to speak and be mistaken for a human. They wouldn't be able to remove their helmets, and any investigation of wrecks would expose them as machines, but... it still might be useful. (No obvious follow-on tech).
-[] Psychic shielding: (150/300 RP) How does your shielding even work? What does it do? You've got the manuals, but it's going to require some brain-sweat to understand the darn thing. (Gives you a stability metric and a readout on your shielding. The first step towards building more/better psychic shielding. Half of unlocking research for better warp understanding).

Reasoning
  1. We cannot just send our avatar out blind, we look like a tech priest and a heavily augmented one at that. Given the present political climate of the planet I doubt those go outside the enclaves often and certainly not alone. We should use out infiltration last turn to hopefully get some human allies. Start the social engineering small. Going to the ad mech because it's good cover and the security services because they know how to keep secrets by definition
  2. Build up basic research so we can get some use out of all the stuff on the planet and the medical bay so that if your agents get in trouble we can also offer them some healing, nothing quite said 'friend' like saving someone's life. In the long run they would be good for cybernetics so Vita can pass for a non-tech priest if she has to
  3. Get some plausible deniability on the bots in case someone spots them and so we can be a tech priest with an escort in the future
  4. Since the plan has Research left over I'm dropping it in the shielding, since it's started we should finish it as fast as we can so we can get some use out of it... and so we know how to fix it if it gets damaged. Right now all that's standing between our goofball and praising Chaos is shielding she does not understand and can't fix.

Okay, we've gathered a lot of information, now we're in a position to do something about it. We've got a highly sensitive Mechanicus enclave that knows that they're being rendered obsolete and is freaking the hell out over it, and we know the belief that there's actually an AI around is considered ludicrous--because unlike all the myriad other dangers, this has never once materialized. With an Avatar, we should be able to resist that indefinitely.

Now we need to get to the process of using that information. By all indications, the local government is... Fine? The real issue is the Mechanicus, and nobody seems to like them because they're paranoid lunatice. They're also holding a stranglehold on advanced technology though, so the powers that be would love to break their power up. So I think the key here is going to be using our penetration into their systems to siphon off some of their younger, more forward- thinking acolytes before they can be completely indoctrinated, to sneak some of that expertise in ourselves.

Plan incoming soon, I just need to chew over some of the details.
