that was statistically unlikely, oh well.

edit: mistook the second guy rolling for a re roll I did not know about. so this was neither unlikely or likely.

I call bullshit. The Victorians knew that they would be screwed if they had to fight a 3 way war.

Now, we continue the battle for a bit more, shell stocks are partially re-supplied and we can land and go take the canal.

we are not equipped to fight another war. we are still recovering from the last one we cant take that territory let alone hold it.

There's always the options of sticking to sailing around and not landing, an army in being can be an effective use considering our gap in industrial supply

Welp, the dice are frustrating but it was a 50/50 gamble. Now let's show them we aren't fucking around, and bluff our asses off because we have like a month of ammunition.

Told you guys we should have held onto it. Now we've rolled the dice and botched the negotiations and will have to spend precious actions that we could have spent cementing our hold in the Midwest.

At a *minimum* of one or two military actions (one to attack the canal, another to fortify and build up defenses needed to hold onto it), a economic action to support the military expedition, and *after* all that we will need to spend at least one diplomatic action to bring the Vics to the table again. Maybe more.

And need I remind you guys we have a number of crisis that's building in our home front? We have food shortage coming up. We have the refugee crisis. We also have only a limited window to make use of our victory over the Victorians which we will be wasting on bringing the Vics to the table again when we should have been using the time to solidify outside support for the Commonwealth.

Sailing around doesn't do shit. They know we have a okay navy. It doesn't matter because our navy can't hit anything actually valuable.

It was a seriously punishing peace treaty from the Vicks' perspective. They told us to fuck off? We gotta tell them "hey, this canal is mine now" or whatever.

The War has just begun...TO THE SHORES OF MAINE!!
Good fucking luck when we have barely a months worth of munitions left after our copious use in the defense of Detroit.

*points above* We can't hold it against serious Victorian counter attack. And we don't know what the Crusaders will do.

Another big advantage we have is that Alexander is not aiding either of the Victorians in their civil war. And they just neatly got cut off from any materials needed to make minimally decent steel. Sending any new product back to the 1870s in terms of tech level. Meaning they will quite literally need to turn plows into guns or break up their infrastructure to make more weapons. Along with fully lacking alloying material for anything corrosion-resistant or petro-chem infrastructure, meaning that any new weapons they make, and new ammo they make is going to be cheap steel stuff that messes with barrels and rusts constantly.

Well, no, they're not helping with either side.

Nothing stopping some "Volunteers" from dropping in just to put the boot in you guys while they fight it out.

Ok, we failed the roll but we can still do this.

One turn dedicated to invading the canal (and deal with our problems as much as possible), and we'll see how things proceed.

If everything goes decently it will still be worth it.

We've demobilized, haven't we? There's so much stuff that needs doing and I am seriously annoyed by this result even if it means the Vicks will have a hard time recovering.
Something to consider: Protracted civil war may give them experience in non-suicidal doctrine and tactics.
