@PoptartProdigy , this may come up during succeeding stages of Faction Generation, but broadly speaking, how realistic vs fun/scifi/futuristic will things like technology and the like be?
What kind of tone, generally speaking, are you going for?

Would like to go for NCR. Both to eventually go Fuck You to Russia with Nukes and be one of the few legitimate successor states and reassemble the USA.

Very realistic. The sci-fi bullshit Lind threw into later chapters does not enter into this. It was all NC propaganda.

Oh, I haven't read the books.

I just wanted to figure out if I should both making write-ups about power-armor-wearing cowboys riding genetically-engineered cyber-bulls being airdropped from stealth super-bombers onto the capital of Victoria or not. :lol

One thing that concerns me about this book was the fact that it actually got 3.6 out of 100+ reviewers in Amazon. I mean, I know it's a terrible score but I knew better books than this one who had worst scores and it's weird that such controversial book got a score this high. And then there's the reviews section as well, because the compliments given there was... disconcerting.

Does that mean there's actually lots of people out there, as in real people living in the real world, who actually agreed with this insanity?

OKAY! My first reaction was to the outline put in the first post. I have now read the lore posts.................

What even is life. Is this even reality. This reads like a far-leftist's idea of what a far-rightist would believe with a massive dollop of either parody or no idea how the world works. That or a hyper delusional hyper rightist who would believe in every conspiracy in the book(even the contradictory ones). This whole thing has to have been a joke.

If it wasn't a joke the RUSSIA! angle makes me lean towards either a young far leftist or an old rightist who still thinks we're in the cold war

Regardless this is the setting we're working with so lets lay some stuff out cause we're going to be getting the custom faction without a massive voter change:
1. NO COMMUNISM! God do you people want to make things even worse! We'll NEED European support if we want to get anywhere due to our starting position and they won't support a communist state when they can just keep supporting New York.

2. We should take up the Old Constitution as the outline of our government as that will be very easy for the disaffected people thought the country to rally behind. Also will lend legitimacy to us even if nobody from the old government is part of ours. Also before anyone points out that the old government collapsed due to a lack of confidence that was most likely because of the bureaucracy in the system and the time with all the chaos will likely give them rose tinted glasses for those final years before collapse.

There's more I want to talk about but I'll wait till the customization vote.

edit: OH DEAR GOD I LOOKED UP THE AUTHOR THAT WHOLE JOKE ANGLE IS OUT THE WINDOW. WHAT THE HELL???????????????

Being able to provide something better is probably an easier sell than "let's bring back the old system, but harder". Trying to reuse the old U.S. constitution as a basis of government is a terrible idea; as it is, the current constitution badly needs some updating...

Notice the word outline. Not word for word verbatim. At the very least the Bill of Rights should be kept without modification aside from clarification(looking at you arguments of 2nd amendment wording)
