OK, that invisible spoiler is kind of annoying because now I can't figure out if it would be crass to respond to what you said, or who told you this, or what. Like, is this something @Lunaryon told you in discord and that you're trying to say-without-saying here in the thread? Is it something you made up? I dunno.
I'm on the discord and am generally aware of the stuff talked about on there and I don't recognize the stuff under the spoiler. I even did a search in the server for the mentioned "Prince Demand" and nothing came up.

It's tempting. The problem is that if the Pen turns one of us into an IMO operative, then they're going to try the kind of things an IMO operative would try. We need at least two senshi on hand to dogpile the self-sacrificing Pen user and beat the stupid out of them, and it should probably be whichever of us has the fewest dangerous exotic abilities. A few weeks ago I would have said Naru, now definitely not Naru.
Sorry for not replying earlier. I might have missed it, but I don't think the generic "turn me into *insert profession here*" disguise comes with a compulsion to act in a certain way, merely with knowledge and competences. Still, to be on the safe side, we could ask Usagi's father or one of Alice's employees to use the pen.

I worry more about how being an IMO employee might come with a geas of some kind (taken as part of the oath of office), and the pen might reproduce it.

My one concern is that we've now twice made use of teleportation in public.

Now, the Dark Kingdom in Japan may still be leaderless.

However, it's been the better part of a week since the Shapelin Gym battle. Beryl has had several days to realize Jadeite is at best MIA and at worst dead or defected. Even if she's waiting until she can either shift another Shitennou over to East Asian operations or raise up a suitably formidable youma to run things as permanent director instead, she's likely to at least appoint an acting director of affairs for the surviving youma in Japan fairly soon. Say, someone like Thetis.

If they're paying attention to news in Japan (and they have to be at least somewhat plugged into mortal affairs or they wouldn't be able to set up and run businesses and so on)... Well, let's just say that if they see a lot of indications of senshi appearing out of thin air, it may lead them to realize that we're teleport-mobile.

Since part of the idea behind Operation Slumber Party is that the Dark Kingdom isn't aware of our ability to do that... Well, that could complicate matters. I'm not saying we should cancel the operation, but we should seriously consider the prospect that they may have a plan for us showing up and dropping the whole Inner Senshi on them.

Anyone thinking the parent of a Senshi is a Senshi would still be a problem, because they're likely to keep an eye on that person - which makes it much more likely that they may catch a glimpse of a Senshi transforming, which is canonically a way to break the glamour.
Yes, but you'd have to specifically zero in on a senshi's live-in parent, which would be unlikely. Running down the list:

Makoto and Endymion's parents are dead.

Naru's and Ami's mothers have full (or more-than-full) time jobs. They are routinely at work when Sailor Mercury, or whatever consistent-ish martial persona Naru might adopt using the Disguise Pen, are elsewhere. With sufficient bullshit and shenanigans the thing could be done, but neither mother is likely to be on any list of possible candidates for "is working with the senshi."

Rei has no close female relatives. If anyone attempts to argue with a straight face that Rei's grandfather is secretly Sailor Mars, I suspect they'll be laughed at, fired, and then laughed at some more.

As a full-time homemaker, Usagi's mother is basically the only known adult member of the Sailor Scouts' immediate family who could plausibly find the time to be a superhero without a lot of unsympathetic witnesses noticing their absence (since her immediate family could be covering for her). Furthermore, during the only time when Ikuko's whereabouts were a matter of public record (her hospital stay), Sailor Moon wasn't very active in public.

She went down to our crossover with Pretty Cure Splash Star, but that probably wasn't observed by many people. She went to the hospital but likely wasn't seen as Sailor Moon. Someone who has Doctor Isoda's report might conclude that Nurse Serenity was Sailor Moon only, y'know, stopping to change clothes first... but that's not certainty. I'm not sure if Ikuko was back from the hospital before the Shapelin Gym battle, mind you- and that was big enough that anyone doing serious intelligence on the Sailor Scouts' activities would have concluded Sailor Moon was involved. So that might be an issue...

But what it comes down to is that I think this is only a concern for, specifically, Ikuko. And there's nothing much connecting Ikuko to "is Sailor Moon" other than "is a woman who lives somewhere in the general part of Tokyo where Sailor Moon is most commonly sighted."

I probably overestimated the effect, but senshi glamour is a memetic hazard type. It actively interferes with how people think. When people start doing stuff like trying to identify the senshi, their inability to do so will get noticed.
Except that's not how it works.

When you attempt to identify the senshi, yes, you can't figure out who they are in civilian life. In and of itself that doesn't prove anything except "the senshi are good at running off to places where we can't see them." But the senshi aren't wearing masks or anything, and there's nothing about them that seems like an attempt to defy identification. Until and unless, of course, you try to think "hmm, I wonder if Sailor Mercury is actually Ami Mizuno" or something similarly specific.

I just... don't see how this would have the effect you describe, at least on strangers who don't personally know our civilian identities already.

Wonder if the ministry assumes the live tv thing is retaliation
They should. I'm pretty sure it is. it wouldn't have been hard for the Superintendent to request that the room with the mysterious Mayu painting be cleared of witnesses, or for the senshi to pick a way of coming to the museum that didn't blatantly involve them appearing out of nowhere on camera.

We are very obviously trying to break the masquerade here, and I'm pretty sure that was intentional on the Superintendent's part, and maybe on Sailor Moon's part.

I'm on the discord and am generally aware of the stuff talked about on there and I don't recognize the stuff under the spoiler. I even did a search in the server for the mentioned "Prince Demand" and nothing came up.
Yeah that's what I figured. I think they meant "Prince Demande," who's a Sailor Moon villain, sure, but... still. It's as if the person I was replying to is talking about events that haven't been portrayed as happening in the quest itself, so either it involves Discord spoilers or it involves them just making shit up and acting like they know it happened.

Given that the idea of a disguise field is fanon, basically well reasoned fanon to explain why no one recognizes them and does make sense, but is still fanon nonetheless. As such, how the power works is whatever the author wants it to be. I know Vandal/Artemis has the field make it that once you are no longer in contact with the person you have no clear memory of what their face looked like. And even hair style doesn't save you. I mean Usagi having a very distinctive hair style would make her pretty obvious usually. In the Quest the current timeline's version of Prince Demand didn't take it well when the appearance of the very pretty girl that reminded him of the one from his dreams (basically flashes from a future that will never be from his AU self that was Prince Demand) completely left his memory moments after their conversation.

Maybe don't put somebody on blast by names from multiple places for a fic/quest they wrote elsewhere and just talk about the way disguise fields in the context of another fic or quest you've read without direct mention. Asking someone if they were talking about X quest from Y place after a statement vaguely referencing the way another quest does a thing you've seen is one thing, but I'm sure anyone would rather you not be as direct especially when it was superfluous and gauche to name someone or thing more directly in someone esle's thread.

I think they may have been referring to another quest entirely, as an example for how things could, hypothetically, be run here.

It's not so much that it's off topic, as that it gets confusing when you casually namedrop events and concepts that didn't happen in our quest continuity without specifying which other continuity you're talking about...

Uh, why are both Michiru Kaiou and Haruka Tennou marked down as Sailor Uranus here? Which one is actually Uranus?

Edit: On closer inspection, Michiru has a spell with a description that refers to her as Neptune.
Those character sheets are beautifully formatted but a bear to construct from scratch. When you have a dozen of them to think of, the only remotely practical way to do it on a large scale (and Lunaryon has to) is to copy-paste. Which means things slip through the cracks sometimes.

The Family that Casts Together Part 1: Questions and Worries before the Reveal
Monday, May 11th, 1992

After passing the still confused and exhausted Mayu over to her parents on live television, the Senshi spend a few short minutes there in the public eye of the people visiting the museum, as well as deftly avoiding the majority of the questions that the reporter (who had gone from subtly upset at being at the museum to starry eyed) had brought forth.

They don't spend long however, as each of the girl's have there own lives and their homes to get back to. Even now that Makoto seems to have settled in well at Rei's shrine, there is still a part of Usagi that wants to try and convince her mom to let Makoto stay with them... Despite the fact that Usagi does indeed know that it is a terrible idea.

In the end, however... eventually the day turns to evening, and the evening turns to night.

The next morning is Monday, and as Usagi slowly drags herself out of bed, the girl realizes something...

Something Horrible.

Something Terrible.

A realization so terrifying that it nearly makes the girl want to crawl back into bed and hide away from the day.

Today is the first day of Exams.

With a long groan, Usagi looks back wistfully towards her bed, before the girl gives a long sigh, shaking her head. Glancing over at the clock, 6:45...

The girl blinks, a memory of months ago starting to bubble up in the girl's mind. Of that very first morning, weeks and weeks ago, when Usagi had managed to get out of bed on time for the very first time.

At 7:30... More than half an hour from now, the time that Usagi gets up every morning. It is almost a little terrifying how much the girl's life has changed, yet at the same time it is amazing how much it has stayed the same. Quickly getting dressed, Usagi gives Luna a quick ruffle on the still sleeping cat's head. There is a part of the girl that envies the way that Luna gets to sleep in more than she does, but at the same time, Luna tends to be out at all hours of the night, checking on things and scouting out to try and find any potential demonic plots trying to make their way into Tokyo.

So Luna deserves all the sleep that she can get. Making her way down the stairs two by two, Usagi smiles as she makes her way into the kitchen. Her mother sits there, a cup of Tea in hand as her father sits across from her, a cup of his own tea in hand as he idly chews on a piece of toast while looking over a newspaper splayed out across the table. Seeing the tea in her parents' hands, Usagi has to struggle to keep a frown from slipping onto her face. A quick glance to the kitchen reminds Usagi that she gave the magic tea pot to Naru.

Which means that the tea that Mom and Dad are drinking isn't the magical tea from before. Her eyes slipping back towards the table, Usagi can see a hint of a frown on Ikuko's face, but after a moment it fades away as the blue haired woman stares at Usagi.

Usagi leans down, giving her mother a quick hug before spinning around the table with a level of grace that the Usagi of two months ago would have been deeply envious of, before giving her father a quick hug as well. "Morning Mom! Morning Dad!" Usagi says cheerfully before dropping down into a chair.

"Morning Usagi." Her father says, "Did you sleep well?"

"Well enough." Usagi admits, with a groan. "But I am not looking forward to tests all week."

After a quick breakfast, Usagi heads out for the day. Arriving at school, the girl hurries to her classroom and her desk, collapsing into her chair and just closing her eyes. She doesn't want the day to truly begin, but there is nothing that she can do to keep time from passing.
Test 1 == DC 15 == 3 + 17 = 20
Test 2 == DC 17 == 1 + 17 = 18
[TWO SUCCESSES]
================
[FIVE SUCCESSES TOTAL]
However... if there is anything that truly manages to surprise Usagi...

It is the fact that she finds herself easily running through the first few tests of the Finals. Answer after answer just flows from her pen. Dates and times of History, poems and proverbs of Japanese literature. All of the things that the girl has learned over the last semester flow back to Usagi with ease, and while the girl isn't the first person to finish with their test...

That honor goes to Umino... Usagi is among the first five to finish with the tests... Both times. Again, Usagi finds herself remembering just how different her life was two months ago, and the way that the girl struggled to get more than a thirty on most of her tests. Thinking back to the Usagi of the past, the leader of the Senshi can't help but shake her head at the way that Schoolgirl Usagi would have handled it all.

To be blunt, she would not have handled any of this at all well. And it makes Usagi smile to realize just how much better her life has gotten since gaining her powers. And she hopes that things only get better from here.

For the first time in... well... for the first time since the blonde girl gained her powers, she isn't leaping from rooftop to rooftop to get home as quickly as possible. Instead, Usagi slowly puts one foot in front of the other, her eyes focused down on a hand.

Her mother has magic. Her brother has magic. How is she supposed to try and explain this all to them? How is she supposed to explain what she knows without revealing her big secret to them?

Should she reveal the fact that she is Sailor Moon to them?

Usagi just... doesn't know. She isn't sure how she should do this, though she knows that she has to. More than that...

Usagi slowly breaths in, before letting out a long sigh. More than that, her father doesn't have magic. He hasn't been awoken, and sure... Usagi has the ability to awaken him... doing that might just give away a major part of her secret. Or at the very least, from what she heard from the acting director, it would give away part of her secret if... when... her family starts to interact with people who have magic.

On the one hand, it will definitely be easier to explain everything to them after last night, with the Senshi being caught on Camera like that. As if summoned by the very thought, Usagi can hear the muffled sounds of arguing slowly start to get closer. Dragging her eyes up and away from her hand, the girl watches as two figures make their way out of an alleyway, growls on their faces as they quite literally butt heads.

"I'm tellin' ya, that tripe on tv last night was fake!" The first of the two men growls out. He is tall and broad, dressed in blue with a big red headed pompadour.

The other man snorts, shaking head. Dressed in green with hair black as night, the second man is shorter than the first, and thin, but even with how he is dressed it is clear that he has a kind of wiry strength. Something he proves when he kicks out, slamming a foot into the taller man's face. "And I'm tellin ya that it's real!"

"Oh yea!" The pompadour growls out, stumbling forward after that kick to his face. "Why don't you say that to my face, then!"

"I just did you candle headed idiot!" The wiry one growls out, taking a step forward as he rolls down a sleeve. "Don't make me beat it into your skull!"

"Ha!" The pompadour laughs, standing straight, "You couldn't even if you wanted to!"

"Is that a challenge?" Wiry asks, popping his knuckles as he raises a fist.

"Nah!" Pompadour growls back with a chuckle, "A challenge is something that you gotta have a cha-" The red head catches sight of Usagi, before he takes a step back, a light dusting of red crossing his face. "Ah... you know what..." He starts to say, but wiry just snorts.

He doesn't even glance back to look at you before he speaks. "Yeah, yeah." The man says, stepping to one side. "Let the lady pass, then we can get back to this."

"Don't you mock me!" Pompadour growls out, but both seem to have decided to stop fighting in order to let Usagi past. There was a part of the girl that wanted to... to...

Something.

Usagi was sure that she was both stronger and faster than both of those boys put together, so seeing them stop for her sake... irks her, maybe?

To be honest, Usagi isn't sure. But watching the two argue gives the girl something new to think about. After all, Usagi is pretty sure that she could break both of these men with both hands tied behind her back. Shaking her head, the girl walks on past the two, letting the sounds of their arguing fade into the distance behind her. There is a part of Usagi that can't help but be amused by the way that the very argument that she was having in her head decided to walk right out of an alley in front of her.

But that is what essentially just happened. The fact of the matter is that she is talking about magic, the supernatural and the mysterious. How is she supposed to explain this to her parents without sounding crazy, and more im... portantly...?

How is she supposed to explain this to her parents without revealing her secret, and without sounding crazy.

Admittedly, one of the easiest ways that she could manage to explain things without sounding crazy would be to reveal that she is Sailor Moon to her family.

But... is that what she wants to do? And more than that... Revealing that she is Sailor Moon means putting all of her friends identities in danger. Maybe she could just explain it that she knows the Senshi?

Back and forth and back and forth all these ideas bounce around in the girl's head as she tries to figure out how to do what she wants to do. All the while there is a faint worry in the back of her head that her parents may not approve of what she is doing. That they might ask her to stop, to let someone else do it...

Usagi just isn't sure if she can do that. To let someone else protect her, sitting back and doing nothing while everyone around her does everything for her.

No.

Even just passing the thought through her head brings a scowl to her face as a surge of rage and despondence flares up at the thought. Every part of the girl, from the deepest aspects of her mind to the farthest reaches of her hair bristle at the idea of being forced to sit on the sideline and do nothing. That is simply...

Not an acceptable turn of events.

That thought brings Usagi to a stop as she realizes something. If that were to happen, if her parents were to stand firm, demand that she stop all of this, to stay back and do nothing.

She wouldn't do it. She'd defy her parents.

Such an idea had never even occurred to Usagi before, and it kind of... shakes the girl now that she has realized that there is something so important that she would actively ignore and defy the words of her parents, her family. For now... Usagi pushes that line of thought to the back of her head, trying not to even start to plan on what she would do if her parents actually went through with trying to stop her.

Then again... Maybe the best situation would be just to not let her parents know what she is truly capable of. To hide the fact that she is Sailor Moon from them. That too feels all sorts of wrong, but it might be the better choice. The girl isn't sure, and she doesn't know how to even start to figure all of this out, as there is so much that is different and new.

But, in the end all of these worried thoughts and circular worries aren't managing to answer the most important question that the girl has, the thing that she really needs to figure out before she gets home.

What is she planning to do?

Well, reveal magic to her family and try to help them understand the powers that they have now. Okay. Good. That is a start.

How?

There is the obvious, easiest option. To show off her own magic, to help guide them through some kind of simple spell. That would definitely be the easiest and most straight forward option for how to handle this all, but at the same time... it would also probably raise questions.

She could instead just show off her magic without really using her own magic to guide the abilities of her family. That would show that she knows about magic, and that she has some skill, but it wouldn't help her family nearly as much.

Or...

Or...

[ ][Or] Or what? How do you want to approach revealing magic to the rest of the Tsukino family? Do you want to reveal Sailor Moon to them? Do you want to go and grab one of the primer books and try to use that to help?

[ ][And] And on top of that... how do you want to explain what you know about magic? There is the clear and obvious answer of revealing that you are a reincarnation, but you have no idea how your family would take that, and they'd probably be a little upset if you don't tell them anything, but you could say that it isn't your secret to tell...

She thinks and she thinks and she thinks, more and more, her mind circling around itself like water pouring into a drain as she slowly makes her way back towards the house, until eventually... she finds yourself standing in front of the door to her home.

Quietly, Luna lands on a tree branch next to you, a slightly worried look on the Mao's face. "And you okay?" She asks, and Usagi gives a decidedly uncertain grunt. "Do you want me to reveal myself to your family as well?" Luna asks, and for the first time, that option opens itself up before Usagi.

She had not even once thought of the idea of revealing that her cat was in fact one of her closest friends, if only because she didn't want her parents to make the girl throw Luna out. Still...

Her friend was offering.

[ ][Luna] Reveal that Luna can talk and do magic to her family
[ ][Luna] No, the risk is too much

Is that pompadour dude from the ghost detective manga?
Guy dies, comes back, has to work for the king of the underworld, llong tournament arc, can't remember the name.

edit-
Probably don't start explaining you are sailor moon, just say Naru found some weird shop that sold a magic book.
Also let's not reveal Luna yet.

I'm not sure exactly what to say here, but I do think honesty's the right path. Let's avoid potential drama in the future if we get caught in a lie. Better to deal with the problems we bring to the table now rather than later.

Though perhaps not telling Shingo everything would be prudent. He's still a kid who could say something he really shouldn't and spill the beans.

[X][Or] Revealing Sailor Moon right now would be too big of a shock all at once. Usagi can say show them a Primer and say that it taught her a lot about magic.

[X][And] Reincarnation is a bit much for a first explanation, and ties too much into Sailor Moon. Usagi can say that the cat she rescued unlocked her magic for her as a reward. It isn't even a lie!

[X][Luna] Reveal that Luna can talk and do magic to her family

I think this would be a good first step.
Usagi rescued a magic cat, and so she unlocked her magic, from there she found a magic book to learn from while giving the cat a home.

All it leaves out is the secret superheroine stuff.

just as a prototype, here's a "Technically true" explanation on 'why we know magic and how we got magic'

[ ] [and] Reveal that you also have some magic, you had it unlocked the night Naru's Mother was attacked by a Youma, when you snuck out to save your friend. After Sailor Moon saved the day, you and Naru found out that the both of you can do some magic. Luna is a Magical Mooncat who agreed to help teach you because you helped save her from some kids, plus you found a weird shop that sells magic books. between all that, you've been getting a pretty good handle on magic. You didn't tell them earlier, because you didn't think anyone would believe you.

Dodges a bit around the whole Sailor Moon thing, but I think it's a start.

Ranma would be saved so much headache if he gets a job in MCAT
And that is why it can never happen. ;)

Seriously though, as an enforcer or as a combat teacher? I think he might need Happosai's permission to take students, but that could just be some fanfic.

Yu Yu Hakusho, fun fact the mangaka Yoshihiro Togashi (the same one of Hunter X Hunter) would go on to marry Naoko Takeuchi the mangaka of Sailor Moon.
It does have a pompadour guy involved with the supernatural.
[] Plan Luna Did It
-[][Or] They saw Sailor Moon on the news. Just say magic is real and that's what mom and Shingo have been doing. Use a weakened Lunar Healing Burst (not called by name) to fix something in the house that's worn out as a demonstration of her own magic.
-[][And] Luna introduced you to magic and the supernatural in general. Come up with a cover story with her beforehand that hopefully won't make the family too mad if it falls apart and the full truth gets out.

Naru found a magic book in a weird shop that can teach people magic.
100% true and accurate.

Still evasive though, not to mention leaving the problem of what happens when/if the parents find out Usagi was hiding things. The point of being honest here is to confront those issues head on and defuse them now, rather than it being a potential problem down the line.

[x][Or] Do not reveal secret Identity. Show them the primer books.

[x][And] After what happened to you at the Crystal Seminar, something woke up. Also Naru found these primers in an old spooky shop after she was attacked at her family's Jewelry store.

[x] Have Luna reveal herself, she is totally your familiar and sought you out before you woke up. Yup. Magic exists so familiars are totally a thing. Why else would a cat be talking…you are both very sorry for not noticing Shingo's pet was an enchanted monster.

This will be an interesting discussion.

My standard response to these kinds of things is to rip that bandaid off.
And I think that Usagi's diplomacy score might be high enough to convince her family.

I think that the greatest risk is the intrigue scores of the family. They need to keep our secrets after all.

Theoretically, you can open the moon - because in the anime, there were a lot of magic talking animals. Henshin archers do not show - because he assumes the presence of abilities that Shingo and Ikuko-san do not have. You can show Disguise Pen ... but you have to prove that Usagi-chan does not lead a double life as a pop idol.

I think if you want to be understood clearly, you will need to repeat all of this, using about four or five times as many words to fill in the blanks where you left out context for what on Earth you're talking about.

Hm. How exactly does this relate, chronologically, to the first scene of Turn 6 Results? It takes place a short time before I would assume, but that scene comes immediately after the meeting with Alice, which was last turn.
