So to clarify something that was supposed to be implied but the rest of the conversation fell out due to it not flowing with the combat.

The Earth King being taken with Zoisite in a dress was supposed to be low key confirmation that Zoisite slept with Endymion's father.

I always understood "being taken with someone" to mean thinking they're quite charming/fetching/whatever, but not necessarily leading to anything sexual happening, and might even be an entirely platonic form of admiration.

...Provided that Endymion's father was not married at the time, or if he was, his wife had consented to an open relationship, one supposes that it is not a problem. All the same, one imagines that Endymion must feel awkward that one of his closest friends had carnal relations with his father.

The girls personally know an Akane Tendou and her red-headed catgirl friend.
Ohh, right. I keep forgetting their last names. Sorry. Plus I was trying to catch up with this thread in real time.

Well, Miss Tendou may or may not have gotten an amulet, but yeah that could get weird.

with a slumber party overseas...
Honestly we may not be able to set up Operation Slumber Party next week, because we'd need to make contact with Sailor V and organize the thing first. I'm writing an omake involving the idea of it happening during the weekend after May 5 (which is about 10 days ahead of the quest time), but realistically it may be the next weekend after.

...This is gonna clash with final exams. We've got those coming up too! :p

further Jadeite hunting, and getting ready to fully introduce our ever expanding team to the police, should be very interesting (also really hoping some time in the next little bit we get a chance to go with Inyuasha and Kagome back to the past and interact with some of their foes, that feels like it'd be fun).
We have WAY too many enemies at the moment for futzing around with time travel to go find more to be a good idea. Plus, while I can only assume Sailor Pluto is chill about Kagome hopping back and forth, and bringing Inuyasha with her... Somehow I'm pretty sure she'll notice if most of the Inner Senshi all go down that particular well at once.

Alright, well this has been a pretty eventful turn, huh? There's still Makoto's own investigations but is there anything else going on?
Also, remember that our plan for Wednesday was actually to look into the clock shop. We hit the shrine instead (which was scheduled for Friday) because we got a double-crit combined Motoki/Makoto intel dump indicating that Jadeite was there, leading Sailor Moon to bump that up on the calendar.

So our Thursday is only sort of clear (Operation Check Out The Pet Shop is likely replaced with Operation Visit Brother In The Hospital). And our Friday is only sort of clear (possibly time to check out the clock shop before the police try to raid it AGAIN and lose another team on the same target). And we've STILL got a situation with Makoto and Chen that, uh... may or may not be entirely resolved as I understand it, though to be fair she can handle herself pretty well.

This week ain't over.

So on the Discord, @Lunaryon stated that there will be two new positions, one of them definitely being established when Alice finishes forming the new company.

Alice will insist Usagi to have a physical trainer, and will build training sites. So basically an advisor position focused on Prowess.

There will be also a Royal Confidante position, basically a Secretary as well. That position will give 5% bonus of their stats to Usagi, and put more organization, making turns last two weeks instead of one.
Well, the Prowess/Martial advisor subdivision will make it easy to figure out how to accommodate both Sailor Venus and Sailor Jupiter when Venus gets here.

I'm... uh, a bit iffy on the 'Secretary' position stretching out the turn structure. Right now in-game things are so action-packed because we're fighting a whole bunch of youma plots all over Tokyo more or less in parallel. We're hitting a target like... every other day... and we're still struggling to keep up with the police (who can't handle this stuff nearly as cleanly as we do).

How does the plot change if turns take two weeks? Normally a game doesn't go better for having more time compression per in-game turn affect the underlying plot.

@Lunaryon , how is this 'Royal Confidante' position supposed to work exactly? Can we get confirmation?

I thought Usagi needs to visualize how a place looks like in her mind for her to successfully make that jump. For example, I know what the address for the regional passport office is because I had to send in my decennial renewal, but without Google Maps I have no clue what the building looks like or how the street it's on appears.
Again, it's an urban area, so she can probably get close by teleporting from one tall building to another, and the radio station itself is "that building with a giant-ass antenna." It's not inconceivable, but it's an extreme test of the Inner Senshi's rapid response capabilities. And we'd be very likely to arrive in the middle of the dismembered corpses of the SAT unit, possibly with Jadeite already off the scene having left behind a few youma mooks to pack up or destroy anything critical after his own successful defense is over.

I suspect something weird is going on here.

Zoisite is mentioned a couple times but gender only (potentially) comes up twice. First we have this Youma:

while not always the case "master" is generally used to refer to males.

More importantly if we look at the update itself Jadeite starts to refer to Zoisite as female but suddenly shifts to male just like he does for Mask/Endymion... While Mask only refers to Zoisite once it is absolutely in the feminine...

Well have to wait and see for more details. My early guess though is that Zoisite is transgender but Beryl didn't approve, perhaps not wanting another girl near her love, and decided to "fix" that as part of the mind control package. Mostly because I've seen that plot in a Sailor Moon fic before, though I couldn't tell you which one.
Well that's... disturbingly plausible.

Given that Beryl is utterly psycho and has a lot of magic to work with, it's quite possible that Beryl Ozma'd Zoisite.

[I never thought to turn the name of Ozma of Oz into a verb until now, but it's a good shorthand for "evil witch transforms a girl into a boy by magic for nefarious purposes."]

Naru has indicated she is conscious of the position in one of her POV parts.
Huh.

I'm surprised; I can't imagine Usagi being that formal about it. Maybe Luna came up with the idea?

Considering Yashahime...... It's implied to be a closed time loop. Stopping Kagome may actually cause more problems. (No Kagome, you ARE you're own ancestor!)

I wouldn't be surprised if that were true, but the point is, Sailor Pluto probably has a reason for not interfering with Kagome's time travel.

She almost certainly doesn't have a good reason not to interfere with our time travel, and while it'd be an interesting way to meet her, I'm not sure it's my fave.

Alright, since people keep asking about it, I have made an edit to the update adding the question of, Do you really want to go and hunt down a general after midnight? And if you do, who do you want to contact? Who would even be awake at this hour?
...I'm going to be honest, the more I think about this the less I like it.

First of all, Sailor Moon is going to be very sleepy, not at her best, and I don't know if she can Lunar Healing Burst herself to relieve those effects.

It's literally midnight, too. Getting people awake and active is gonna be tough. Luna can teleport more or less anywhere but she'll still need time to wake people up. The other Sailor Scouts are almost certainly asleep, and even Sailor Moon (who is awake, is probably the best at teleportation, and knows the address of the radio show) will likely arrive too late.

We'd be showing up in the middle of a bunch of dead bodies, with the youma already bugging out- Jadeite in particular probably made his retreat as soon as he'd polished off the squad of SAT troopers, I suspect.

Waiting for any of the other Sailors to get there will probably take longer since Luna has to get to them, wake them up, so we'd be giving the Dark Kingdom more time to escape the scene and, again, leave us standing around a bunch of dead cops.

And we won't have our full roster- it'll be something like "Sailor Moon and Sailor Jupiter versus Jadeite and youma." Which is way closer to a fair fight than I'd like.

...

About the only point in our favor is that Jadeite (if he's even still there when we arrive) has probably had a pretty long, rough day himself. Though he's had at least several hours to rest up physically since the fight in the pocket dimension, and I don't recall him being physically wounded seriously.

I vote go, but only contact Makoto.

She lives alone so is most likely to be available and our heaviest hitter.
I imagine Tux will show up on his own.
Tuxedo Mask may show up, given that he clearly has preternatural gifts along those lines. But he's gotta sleep sometime (I think), and he's had a hell of a day the same as the rest of us.

I imagine by the time we get there, even with teleportation, we'll be more useful as a healer. Calling Makoto and/or looking up the address of the radio station aren't instant and combat is fast.
That's... a distinct possibility. Jadeite might have left some of them wounded and in critical condition. Then again, maybe not.

...Provided that Endymion's father was not married at the time, or if he was, his wife had consented to an open relationship, one supposes that it is not a problem. All the same, one imagines that Endymion must feel awkward that one of his closest friends had carnal relations with his father.
This confirms my suspicion that if we ever try to use the Vajra in Zoisite's general vicinity, Zoisite will not only swipe it back from us the same way Jadeite did with the Aegis, but will also utter some hilarious dirty joke while gender-confusing everyone in the vicinity including Haruka, who is normally reigning master of the art.

About the radio plot, Jadeite was working in tandem with the youma, Furau. Furau was the one responsible for mailing the flower brooches to the listeners whose letters were read by Jadeite. Therefore, at least as far as stopping the energy drain is concerned, Furau would be the linchpin. Destroy Furau, and the energy drain should cease.

There are notable hurdles, given that it has been a long day for the Senshi and the time of night. However, even with the odds not exactly being favorable, one is tentatively in favor of going to the radio station. If Furau can at least be found and destroyed, it will end this particular plot.

Since time is of the essence in finding Furau, Moon may have to go alone. At the very least, if Jupiter is contacted, Moon will need to go and start immediately and hope that Jupiter can catch up before everything is resolved.

whether she objects or not, the fact of the matter is that we don't return to modern times at the same time we left.
Which means potentially disappearing for weeks or months while the DK do whatever the hell they want.
I mean, even if we were inclined to go, we just don't have the time.

The point I was trying to make was the Kagome is probably a special exception.

Bu that logic, so has Jadeite.
True, true.

But Jadeite's objective is "kill a dozen SAT troopers then get the fuck out before reinforcements arrive," which he doesn't have to be in top form to do, unless his emergency teleport spell has a 1/day cooldown time... And even then he can take rooftops out of an area just as well as we can, presumably.

Depending on whether Jadeite succeeds in the GTFO part of his objective... Well, our objective is either:

1) "Deal with the aftermath of Jadeite killing the SAT troopers," or
2) "Fight Jadeite and whatever mooks he has on site."

(1) is likely to put a LOT of stress on us, the kind where being sleepy is a massive handicap.

(2) is a fight between Sailor Moon (who hasn't slept in something like 16 hours and had a big fight in the middle of her day), Sailor Jupiter (who probably just woke up), versus an unknown number and strength of youma (who may be in top shape) and Jadeite (who's probably tired but has had several hours during which he could have caught a nap for all I know).

About the radio plot, Jadeite was working in tandem with the youma, Furau. Furau was the one responsible for mailing the flower brooches to the listeners whose letters were read by Jadeite. Not necessarily.

When we attacked the Cinderella Caravan offices on last Thursday, Tuxedo Mask shattered one of the 'Cinderella sister' glass youma. Specifically the one who'd been impersonating Mikan, who'd been striking the chimes that put magical compulsions on the talent show contestants.

This did not break the spells.

We cannot assume that destroying A youma directly associated with the radio show plot will break the spells at work here. It's possible, but it's not necessarily true.

There are notable hurdles, given that it has been a long day for the Senshi and the time of night. However, even with the odds not exactly being favorable, one is tentatively in favor of going to the radio station. If Furau can at least be found and destroyed, it will end this particular plot.

All fair enough.

If Kagome ever asks, and if we're in a position to OK it with Sailor Pluto somehow, I'm willing to go for it... but yeah, we don't have the time.

So my explanation was decidedly backwards.

It is not that the secretary position will cause the turn length to increase, but that I have always intended for the turn length to increase following the end of the Jadeite Arc, and the Secretary position is just popping up at roughly the same time.

[X][Usa] Don't go

Yeah, don't think we should go right now. I don't think we even know where it is, and it's the middle of the night, we're on our own, tired, etc. Best left for another day.

One of my new favorite words, right after 'Norted.

We probably don't have time for it right now, but I'm less concerned about Pluto's involvement and more thinking it would be a fun way to hang out with Kagome sometime.

[x][Rei] Yes
- [x][Rei] Manager

[x][Usa] Go
[x][Contact] Contact People
- [x] Makoto

Can... can we also try to contact others? or is it just one person?

Ahh, that's okay then.

And it makes sense, from what I remember. The other three dark generals don't keep as many plots cooking at the same time and/or pursue other avenues of gathering power, focusing on corrupting individuals or drawing out the Sailor Scouts.

Yeah, don't think we should go right now. I don't think we even know where it is, and it's the middle of the night, we're on our own, tired, etc. Best left for another day.
In fairness, we DO probably know the address!

Because:

1) It's a radio show that actively solicits letters from fans, so they have to tell people where to send the letters... though on further reflection that location could just be the Japanese version of a post office box.

2) Usagi was planning to mail them a letter two weeks ago and is herself a fan of the show, so she probably knows the address... though that may just be a P. O. box number.

One of my new favorite words, right after 'Norted.
Thank you! It's a word for a very ugly thing to do to someone, but it is at least a more compact way of describing it than I would have expected to be possible until I thought of the analogy.

Can... can we also try to contact others? or is it just one person?
The first person to vote "yes" wanted to contact only Makoto because of time constraints; this operation is at best ambiguously likely to accomplish anything even if we move with the utmost possible speed despite the fact that we can freaking teleport.

The problem we face is that any of the other Senshi are fairly likely to be in bed. And it is likely to take Luna at least several minutes to teleport to the locations of the other Senshi and wake them up (she knows exactly where Makoto's bedroom is, for instance, but Rei's? Ami's?). Getting ahold of Tuxedo Mask could be virtually impossible to do in a timely manner, since I'm pretty sure we don't know where he lives.

Makoto is the strongest fighter on the team, the one who lives alone and can wake up in the middle of the night without anyone noticing, and the one whose residence we know Luna's already been inside. If we DID have to pick one and only one person to contact, it'd be her.

Anyone else would probably take longer to reach, take more time to arrive, and cause still further delays before we could move in as a unit.

The vote is tentatively cast for going, albeit with a modification:

[X][Usa] Go
[X][Contact] Contact People
-[X] Makoto
--[X] Time is of the essence. Moon needs to go immediately; Jupiter will need to catch up on her own.

Guys, if we go we're not going to be ready. We're too tired and so will anyone else we call. Besides we need a nap in the middle of the day to take on a midnight mission, which we didn't get.

So my explanation was decidedly backwards.

It is not that the secretary position will cause the turn length to increase, but that I have always intended for the turn length to increase following the end of the Jadeite Arc, and the Secretary position is just popping up at roughly the same time.
Aaaaah, so it's just Jadeite who's doing the Dark Kingdom Sneaky Plot Spam, then?

For what it is worth, in the original episode, both the sensei and Naru fell into comas because of the brooches. Jadeite had to retreat, and Furau was destroyed. Naru and the sensei were quite awake and active in class the next day, so perhaps destroying Furau would manage it.

At the very least, in the original episode, Sailor Moon did speak over the radio, telling everyone that the flower brooches are dangerous. There was also some speech about how love letters are only meaningful if presented to the ones for whom they are meant, though that second part is a dismissible triviality.

If nothing else, if one does not want to go to fight, would it at least be possible to go and make a broadcast about warning against the danger of the flower brooches?

I think it is more that Jadeite is our region's General. We've been previously told that each General has their own quarter of the planet to plot and scheme in. With Jadeite dead/captured/purified one of the remaining three now has to cover not just their quadrant but Jadeite's as well. So unless we start operating on an international level our relative number of plots will go down.
