"I am Pisard." The man introduces himself, "General under the Dark King from the Realm of Dark, and I must applaud you all.' There is something sinister about the man's words. "So much creative energies, all gathered in one place by this ridiculous set up. Still," Pisard cackles, "All the energy of Creation that you have is forfeit in the name of the Dark King. Now!" The metal of the microphone stand creaks beneath the man's grip, "Awaken, Raging Spirit of the Heavens, Zakenna! Heart of Darkness, come forth and make them all understand the Horrors of the Power of Destruction!"
The towering figure's voice booms across the room, impossibly loud and heavy, even accounting for the Microphone in his hand, and somehow, with even word spoken the lights of the theater flicker and dim. Word by word, the room fills with shadows as an inky blackness begins to ooze from the man's hands, dripping down and climbing up the Microphone stand. The pale skinned Kabuki man steps back, even as the shadows continue to grow and swell, the ooze shifting and swirling larger and larger, and the darkness pulses out, taking on an almost humanoid shape. One that towers at over ten feet tall, with wide lanky limbs that curve smoothly instead of bending at a joint. The creature's eyes are pits of glowing red, and it's face ends in a drooling maw of jagged teeth, all below the giant microphone that is set above it's face almost like some kind of delinquent's pompadour.
In a way, the creature could have easily been considerable cute, were it not for the beast's towering farm, and the heavy bellow of "ZAKENNA!" That it roars outward as it slams its fists into the ground, shattering the stage and sending splinters of wood through the air.
Then... there is a single tiny moment of calm - The reality of the situation hasn't really set in yet, instead it is just building fear and confusion as the gathered civilians try to parse what is in front of them. Truly, the only thing keeping the panic at bay is just how unbelievable the situation in front of them is.
The idea of someone showing off with some kind of quick change? That is understandable. But the towering slavering monster that stares at them with eyes that literally glow with hate?
It is as if everyone here in the theater has been teleported into the plot of a Sunday morning Children's show like Kamen Rider.

It takes all of three steps for Usagi to shatter the moment of calm, the girl accelerating before leaping forward, blurring through the air towards the strange creature that has been summoned. Every sense and instinct that the girl has is screaming at her.
This is not a Youma. This is not a demon.
More than that, it feels almost like there is a voice in the back of her head that is raging. This... This thing should not exist. It should not be here. Unfortunately, the girl is paying too much attention to the niggling at the back of her mind, and not the situation around her.
The first hint that she may have made a mistake is when she hears a scream of terror below.
The second indication is when she realizes that the only thing she can see is the massive fist of the creature filling her vision. There is a heavy CRACK! as the Senshi's fist slams into the fist of the creature, but the monster is on solid ground, while the Senshi of Love and Justice is in the air. The blows clash, and with a roar Sailor Moon goes rocketing backwards through the air, slamming into and through the wall of the theater and into the building's main hall.
Naru - EMERGENCY CONTROL - 8 + 8 = 16
[SUCCESS]
"HEY!" Naru's scream cuts through all the noise, louder than anything else in the room. "EVERYONE! TO THE EXIT!" She yells, pointing to the door next to her. "COME ON, GET O-" The girl is all but bowled over by a large, rotund man with glasses and a bandana covering the top of his head, who is all but pulling another man alongside him through the door. Seeing two manage to get through the door gives something akin to direction to the gathering panicked mob who start to charge for the doors.
Thankfully, Naru manages to pull herself back to her feet, and begins bellowing instructions to the crowd. "CHILDREN AND THE ELDERLY FIRST!" The girl yells, as the door opens from the other direction, revealing the ever calm form of Sebastian.
"What is..." The man starts to question, before he sees the scene before him, "Oh, dear." Quickly, the silver haired butler takes the other side of the door, and begins to assist in the evacuation.
Even before the leader of the Sailor Senshi stuck at the creature, the rest of her forces were already on the move. Leaping high into the air, Sailor Mercury's heel click against the ceiling of the room as she focuses her aim on the beast's summoner. "You! Pisard was it?" Sailor Mercury calls out, "Stay where you are! Sabão Freeze!" the girl yells out, as she brings her hands up the mist collecting between her palms. Throwing her hands forward, the thick mist billows down, slamming into Pisard with all the weight of a heavy breeze, and Pisard begins to laugh, a laugh that quickly cuts off as the demon realizes that ice is building up across his form.
At the same time, Sailor Jupiter dashes alongside the back row of the room, leaping up and kicking off one wall in order to shoot towards the creature as draws its fist back from where it slammed Sailor Moon through the wall. "Supreme THUNDAH!" The girl cries out, all through the room static builds, before a bolt of lighting fires forth from the girl's brow. The lightning arcs through the air, slamming into the towering beast, but even as it pushes the monster a massive step back, the creature seems unharmed by the electricity, and in fact the beast seems to breath in, as large green square LEDs light up along the beast's arms.
The creature has consumed the lightning, and made itself all the more powerful for it. With another roar of "ZAKENNA!" The towering monster reaches down, ripping a heavy chunk of wood from the floor before hurling it out towards the still fleeing crowd of innocents.
REDHEAD - Not on my watch Asshole! - 4 + 25 = 29
ANGRY GIRL - This is MY DAY! - 4 + 15 = 19
Sailor Jupiter leaps up, fist drawn back to shatter the improptu weapon, and as the wood shatters, the girl realizes that she isn't alone in her attack, the redheaded girl who seemed to realize that something strange was going on attacked the hunk of wood from below, a heavy kick splitting the weight and pushing it back. The two land almost side by side, and the red headed girl glances over to Jupiter. "So," The girl asks, "What the hell is this thing?" She asks, "You seem to have an idea of what is going on."
"To be honest," Jupiter responds. "Not a clue. This asshole doesn't seem to be connected to the demon who mind controlled the contestants. Never seen him or his monster before. You should get out of here."
The girl smirks, shaking her head. "Not until everyone is safe, and not until I manage to beat the face in of whoever took over Akane's mind. I haven't had the chance to sleep for two days, and I want of my pound of flesh."
"YOU ASSHOLE!" The angry girl bellows, as she takes her own flying leap towards the stage, deftly, using the creature's own attack as a springboard to accelerate herself towards Pisard. "I've spent the last two days training for this! And you go and fuck it all up!"
The demon is barely able to move with the heavy weight of ice covering his limbs, yet the demon seems unfazed, instead casually raising an ice covered leg to block the girl's twisted axe kick. The ice shatters, but the demon is unphased by the girl's attack. "You aren't the Pretty Cures, and you aren't that smug fool who stole the Green Prism. So who are you? And why are you interfering?"
Sailor Moon comes soaring through the hole in the wall she previously created, "Who am I?" The girl yells, laughing, even as the girl flips over into a spinning kick that blows the Zakenna back, slamming the creature into the machinery on the back wall. Electricity crackles off the creature into the system, activating the speakers with a crackle, as a quick beat begins to play followed by the sound of piano.
Sailor Moon lands with grace and poise, elegantly spinning around once, a smile on her face. "I am a champion of the Solar System, a warrior of the earth, and a good friend to someone wanting to participate in this talent show. I am Sailor Moon, and in the name of the Moon, I'll punish you."

Well. It seems like Usagi is starting to enjoy life as a sailor suited heroine. Which does make sense; the stuff she can do as Sailor Moon is freaking cool. Too bad it comes with so many downsides.

literally no one has any clue what the heck is going on anymore. It's such a clusterfuck. Everyone's just kind of, like, rolling with it because what else can they even do? There's just not any time to work out who everyone is and what they're trying to do.
I'm glad Naru got the chance to help.
She could probably use the ego boost being surrounded by nothing but superheroes.
I do rather like the little side theme that 'normal' people are not powerless in this.
So how many people heard her declaration? Did that get broadcasted? Is everything they are saying in that room being played over speakers, quite possibly do to the monster being the mic?
Pisard apparently rolled 19 again for round 2, so if Mercury is still the one handling him, it should be sufficient for now. As to the Zakenna, hm, well, it rather depends on the Zakenna's roll for round 2. Jupiter at least rolled higher as a guarantee, but this Zakenna unfortunately only seems to grow stronger from her lightning attacks.
Jadeite does not remind Makoto of Senpai, and instead she gets this terrible itch that runs from the bottom of her jaw to the middle of the back of her head.

You know, when I clicked that link I was expecting to hear something a bit less country and a whole lot more anime than "Holding out for a Hero". That being said, I can't honestly say that it isn't fitting for Sailor Moon's public debut. My compliments to the QM for thinking outside the box on this one.

Huh. I guess it would make sense for the Senshi to have probably been killed by the Shitennou rather then simply being mobbed to death by Youma. Yay for past life trauma.
Time will tell soon enough regarding Jadeite. However, I do not recall the Shitennou being brainwashed to serve Metallia until returning in this era.
As another nice development, Mercury has reached Stage 3 of 5 for the Untested trait, so her Prowess is at 0.8 of what it would otherwise be. Considering how often the Senshi fight, it will not be too much longer before Mercury sheds the Untested trait in full to fight with 21 Prowess.
I really hope that the "former boyfriends and currently brainwashed" origin is true in this. And that we can free them from it, and not have them immediately die like in Crystal. Usagi being the only one able to get aboard the "past life love" train seems a bit unfair to me.
But I'm also hoping for the relationship between Zoisite and Kunzite from the first anime to also exist here. Because as noted, there's a bit of an overrepresentation of female gay relationships, we need more male ones.
...Wait. If the Shitennou are the counterparts to the Inner Guardians, and there's lot of subtext in regards to the Inner Guardians relationship to the the Princess...
Headcanon: the Serenity was fucking the Inner Guardians, Endymion was fucking the Shitennou, and the relationship between the two groups formed in part due to the Prince and Princess kept dragging them into orgies. Status: Newly Formed.
Hm, based upon Pisard's wording, it is uncertain if he had been expecting the Sailor Senshi. If he is cooperating with Jadeite, one would think that Jadeite would at least have given a cursory overview of the Sailor Senshi.
It is possible that it is a coincidence, and that Pisard just happened to choose this particular venue for making a scene in order to draw out the Precures and Tuxedo Mask.
Speaking of the Precures, it is pending about whether they will arrive in time to contribute to this battle. They had not expected it, and it will take time to hear of it and reach the site of the attack. Well, hopefully the Precures can at least arrive in the aftermath to explain to the Sailor Senshi about Pisard and the Zakenna in order to begin coordinating and cooperating from there.

Hm. Pisard's showing some confusion about the situation, but not enough that I'm sure he hasn't been briefed about the Sailor Scouts. However, I'm mentally assigning lower odds to "Jadeite and Pisard are in it together," and if they are working together, there's a fair chance Jadeite didn't warn Pisard about the Sailor Scouts... which will not endear him to Pisard after this is over.

If they were here, they'd probably have already jumped in. They recognize Pisard and wouldn't let him get away with shenanigans right in front of them. And we'd notice, because that transformation sequence of theirs is NOT subtle.

From what I can find, they need to be together to transform. So if they were or got separated in the crowd, they might not be able to transform. Though I'm not aware of the specifics, so I might be completely off?

These versions somewhat contradict each other - if only because in the world of Sailor Moon, love is a powerful force that can exist for many millennia after the death of lovers. In new lives, the beloved must be reunited ... otherwise they will not find their happiness. Which is why, by the way, Usagi and Mamoru have to reunite.
