German here...and sadly, yes.

And you know what the biggest kicker is? Here, the Anti Corona-Vax Movement ("Querdenker", or lateral thinkers, as they call themselves) refuse to wear masks and get themselves vaxxed, all the while calling themselves 'brave resistence fighters against the Corona-Dictatorship' and comapring themselves to the German Resistance against the Nazis.

Yeah. SERIOUSLY.
 
My condolences. Terrible to lose people. We had a coworker pass away (many more in extended families) and it's so hard to see the widespread rejection of the simplest preventive measures despite near and dear impact.

    -[X] If Yu Zhong confirms he's telling the truth, send out Zhang Liao and Cao Xing with the mounted skirmishers and 200 vet cavalry on patrols, to then secretly regroup at a predetermined place with most of the force, while Cao Xing with a few of his best men will check out the Ge estate, then rendezvous with Zhang Liao
    -[X] If Cao Xing confirms a small raid on the Ge estate with no traps and Zhang Liao will conclude he can salvage the situation and save the defenders, he can do so and bring them back to the city
