Actually binge read this after a couple of days a week or two ago, and I am personally excited to see this come back, if at all possible.

I do not know much about Romance of the Three Kingdoms... I've read an abridged translation of the book one time. But I love the way you brought the period and setting to life.

I've actually been thinking about what will happen next now that we've completed the initial goal of the Azure Lances. To deal with the rampant banditry of the region. If the banditry goes down with their leader killed, that is... Now, we've got the Yellow Turbans and instability over the horizon... Little closer than that, even, as we've already had skirmishes with them...

What would be a good direction to go in for us now that we're here? We're joining Ding Yuan's army under Lu Bu, I know that(Insert terror at being the subordinate to our love interest's father). Any ideas on how to make the most of it, though?

The best direction to go in is the direction that has the QM at a crossroads - one involving continuing the Quest, and one involving being shoved into an infinite valley of mousetraps.

I've actually read this quest three times and every time I have enjoyed it. Tbh one of the quests I have ever read.

Edit. If it's to hard to restart from here, you could always do a reboot.

I do think that's one of my better song parodies, but that would be me yanking my own chain.

As for the next long overdue update, well...

Liang Shu beat them down-o By ElleionXan
Another song snippet time? Another song snippet time.

*music starts*

Liang Shu was riding out one day,
To an elder, respects to pay,
Then some bandits got in his way,
So he needed to beat them down-o, down-o, down-o,
Then some bandits got in his way,
So he needed to beat them down-o

Then one bandit away did race,
Liang Shu did up and give chase,
Until someone smashed the bandit's face,
But just who was this clown-o, clown-o, clown-o,
Until someone smashed the bandit's face,
But just who was this clown-o?

He said "I'm Zhu Fang of Fenshan,
Of local fighters there's no greater man,
So listen up 'cause here's my plan,
I'm gonna spread his brains all around-o, around-o, around-o,
So listen up 'cause here's my plan,
I'm gonna spread his brains all around-o"

Then Shu said "Take him to the prefect guy,
This bandit needs to publicly die,
His ilk will see it and start to cry,
It will terrify and astound-o, astound-o, astound-o
His ilk will see and start to cry,
It will terrify and astound-o.

Shu escorted Zhu Fang home for the night,
Then headed back to his manor right,
Found himself in a terrible plight,
For his sister had a frown-o, frown-o, frown-o,
Found himself in a terrible plight,
For his sister had a frown-o

That's all I got for the moment. I'll probably come back expand on this later.

Just found this quest a few days ago. Whether it keeps going or not, it was a great read. I'd happily stick around if it did keep going.

For the record for those who care, just thought I'd mention that I have been seeing a therapist for quite a few months, and I have been sober for a smidgen of months later. Whether or not any of that will translate to an actual update to this thread, I cannot say when, but "if" is is more like a certainty.

Also I think my little sk8r boi spoof got the most reactions from any song parody I made in this thread, even better than the posts I made back when I made regular updates, if I am looking at things properly.

I dunno what to make of this. Like, it was a satirical commentary on myself, and SV's evolution in general over the years, was never expecting it to be as liked as it was. Not sure if this means it was a good parody, people REALLY want me to reply to this quest, or what...

Maybe it was just a decent parody. I've been told by a professional to ignore "Imposter syndrome" and just take compliments, so yeah could be overthinking things.

Wouldn't be the first time for me.

As wonderful as always! Nice choice of song, I have to say

You have a patreon? I would have donated to keep this going.

Nah, was just a moment of commentary. Never crossed my mind.

A reboot is out of the question. A timeskip, maybe, but I'd never start this quest again from scratch, regardless of how many mistakes I could avoid.

we're fighting bandits in our local county forever

I genuinely never intended to write so many words about Liang Shu fighting bandits in a time period before fun stuff actually happened but I suck at pacing in more than one way.

Yeah for what it's worth this entire arc has been very compelling and fun to read. Regardless of your intentions for how long we were supposed to spend on this arc... it has been good.

I have to agree.

Especially with the narrative drive of Liang Shu's revenge and serving as a microcosm of the issues we will be facing at large as the narrative stakes gradually begin raising.

Gonna be pretty interesting to see what options we have to further develop the Azure Lance's capabilities and our province.

Really want to see how much we can do before we go kicking Yellow Turban ass.

The bandit arc was very entertaining and fun to read. The whole revenge story, sprinkled with betrayal, rising up to the challenge and evildoers getting their just punishment, makes for a great time.

I sincerely hope you will be able to continue, where we left off. :)

Even if we had a time skip I feel like there is still one major thing to address before one.

Protective Parent Lu Bu is heading our way.
