One thing I want to hype about the Bai archive arts is how POLISHED they are. What I mean by that is how little meridians they take up.

Most of then take up 4. 4! That's almost as little as Red 3 FSA or ZH, and most of them are down to 2 at mastery + Compresion.

Millennia of toil and effort along with the life's work of many a fourth and fifth realm cultivator went into building the tar trap that will be our build people.

We actually lose out on passives compared to max SCS (-10 speed including conditionals, loses all sneak attack bonuses, gain +10 conditional avoid) and we lose the persistent OWS which kinda sucks - our primary sickass movement tech. BitD is a completely different effect, though it is really strong.

If at all possible, we want to burn through to level 2 in one go to avoid what I think will be a temporary downgrade in capabilities

I disagree it will be a temporary downgrade for one major reason, the same thing that let us see the Hill's motivations well enough to soothe it.

With SCS and our gown we could flit and float. With LFWT, our gown, and Sixiang? We Fly.

No, true successor arts(As opposed to replacements) benefit from scrunching actions and become more efficient.

Therefore, what you want to do is Master->Scrunch->Modify?(Might break successor)->Learn Succesor.

I really dislike the "this option can wait" argument.
We don't know it will wait, and even if it does wait, we might get a better option to pick next round, leading to a given option not getting picked, period.

Mmmh... Green 2/3 arts beginning at 4 meridians, when TRF just got its 4th meridian in Green 2, and SCS/PLR got its 5th, is not particularly low? You aren't going to have arts beginning with that many meridians usually, and so far those arts are the ones beginning with the most meridians (they are also the ones beginning the highest, cultivation wise).

Uioppe's argument is that in a normal situation we'd be 'stronger' with SCS than LFWT (which is good, SCS was broken as all hell). In a non-standard scenario, we would still be likely to be 'stronger' with SCS than LFWT, given those sweet darkness bonuses.

OTOH, LFWT is just ridiculously good at infiltration (nope to formations) and running away.
