"Her Nanny's granddaughter. She had been attempting to get the girl into the temples before, but…"
Ling Qi nodded, understanding. She understood that Biyu's Nanny was her mothers friend, a woman who had been… promoted to their workplaces administration with age. Even then the stigma still stuck though
I posted in discord but for non discord people.
I think we should throw a party and here's why !
our house is full of people who never got to celebrate anything, the shunned, the ones looked down upon for stigmatized against. We seen in some of the letter interludes from our mom that some people wouldn't even sell them basic goods , clothing, food or at the very least they would upcharge everything. That means most of our house didnt get to host celebrations , they had to save every penny , going to public festivities could also have been a rather depressing affair as most would shun them, leer, or worse.
sure there could be jealousy, but do you wanna know what else there could be? Hope. They see that even if not everyone can succeed, that those that do will be celebrated regardless of their old affiliations. That they can join in on these festivities without leering eyes, or eyes full of hate and find joy that ONE OF THEM was able to be uplifted. and maybe, just maybe, one day perhaps a child, or a grandchild , or a nephew or niece of their own will be standing their, being celebrated, being rewarded.
EDIT- SIDE NOTE. IF WE THROW A PARTY WE CAN INVITE YU NUAN! SHE IS ALSO A LING
