Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
You know, we can totally learn from this and Huisheng and use it to steal from others. Communication is a two-way street; it allows you to influence and be influenced.

So people just talking to us, people will allow us to see into their Ways (to be influenced) and influence them right back. We'll basically be able to tribulate anyone we meet!

Even lies are useful, because they tell us what they want us to think.
Also, our schtick is COMMUNICATION, we will see through their lies unless theyare 4th realms o specifically cultivating LIE.
Oh, the people we're asking will believe what they tell us. They're more of a medium to deliver the lie than the liars themselves. But that does cause some restrictions until the time the mask breaks, as this guy said:
They may be lies, but they're lies that the vast majority of people there need to believe, or they couldn't be keeping this a secret, which means the lies still need to lead them to roughly the same actions as the truth or the whole faction would be working at cross purposes all the time.

[X] Use interrogations of the Jungle Goddess to seek after what the Western Territories feels like they are aiming for. Try to grasp what it is they want to build on the corpse of a slain god. Having the Sun's aim in mind can only help negotiations.

[X] Dig into the philosophy of their arts more, in relation to the Red Goddess. Not the secrets which would never be shared, but their outward purpose. If she could articulate that well and truthfully it might settle the Twisted Pine's nerves.

I like this thread of thought better than the other one.

I feel like there are joking notes so far about ji rong as a potential partner interest, but I really do think that their conversations thus far in these latest meetings definitely have had a way more natural and comfortable flow/rapport/"clicking"/potential chemistry vibe than basically any of our interactions with anyone else so far "in the running" - and by a lot.

Obviously this is only very earliest stages, it could easily go nowhere, and there are a bunch of barriers to a real and deeper friendship, much less any more or a relationship.

But also like someone said above, they actually have so much in common and can understand each other in so many levels, and seem able to be comfortable around each other.

I actually really would like to see this happen (way down the line), as weird as it seems to me to be saying it. And I'd love to see all the messes and interesting places it would take the story to get there.

(Yeah, I know it'd probably take at least another whole book to even really get started in that direction, with what all we currently are doing, needing to work it out to be compatible with that, and all the barriers I mentioned) </end-sleepy-ramble>

I'm pretty sure Ji Rong and Sun Liling are already romantically entangled in a way that prevents any real possibility of Ling Qi getting with Ji Rong any time soon. Like, I don't think they're dating, but I'm pretty sure they would be if there weren't significant social barriers in the way.

Ling Qi doesn't have enough "Steppy Big Sis" energy to be Ji Rong's type.

I do enjoy their interactions though. It's just so much fun when compared to every other dude Ling Qi's met.

I have no real thoughts on this vote right now (and probably until it closes), so I'm voting for this.

Firstly , arts are supposed to be lessons, , and I'm guessing the Sun normally provide their armies with arts (unless they're nobles or so), so learning the lessons the want to instill in their soldiers would be insightful.

Plus, you know, the whole cultivation style mashup. Hopefully we can learn more about it for when we make Thief of Names :p.

Eh. Ling Qi always has fun "chemistry" (don't exactly agree on this) with male characters who she knows aren't interested in her. For eg: LQ and GG, the second best LQ duo.

The tribulation has changed things, but we've been too busy being Professional ™ and Busy ™ to really explore it.

As if anybody was stopped by those kind of facts from romantically smashing two characters together like action figures but with kissy sounds.

I suspect this will be more useful in calming the Pines than dealing with the specifics of the Sun arts, especially when the former won't care about the latter as long as those bloody flower worshipers stay far far away.

Know how they think, know how they react, that lets us know their Context.
This informs us of their strategy if not the goals.
