This one is a bit harder, not a fan of Root and Gift, but the Hostess Lessons and Paying respects are both things i want to do.
Think i am going to have to go with Hostess Lessons. More Meizhen is always good, and Xuan Shi and Wang Chao would also be a treat

This one I think. The Sect has been such a big part of the story, I really want to reconnect with these characters and maintain good relations.

Fine with any of the personals. Frozen Soul Serenade succession is important of course, but I also want to reconnect with Suyin and Meizhen.

We should continue developing our Isolation concept to IV. Dreaming Songstress is locked until then, so we should also look at advancing our Grinning and Hidden moon aspects.

My rough idea

TOTALLY agree with you on Paying Respects and Suyin. There's also lots of synergy there. We really should pay our respects to the institution, Argent Sect, that gave us the opportunity for, well, everything. However TBH, compared to Suyin, we've been seeing Meizhen plenty. We really need to reconnect with Suyin and ensure we have a path back to her and to the Sect. If we don't do Little Workshop of Wonders, going back to work on the Cyan breakthrough recipe later is gonna seem really weird and weak narratively.
Idols and Ancestors--it goes without saying this is NECESSARY
Little Workshop of Wonders--My girl Suyin needs some screentime to shine.

Also TBF, 'flying is always nice' is putting it a little lightly. Laughing Flight of the Wind Thief is an awesome art and any work we put into cultivating it will make for some amazing narrative.

Personal action is rough this turn. I really like advancing Creation and Mystery, and Li Suyin coming with that is great. But IIRC there was something about us really needing to do the successor soon or it'll slow down our cultivation in later turns, and also the third possible action is Meizhen? Like I said, very rough decision.

For cultivation, I'm most interested in Phantasmal Mastery and TREE.
 
I hate to say it, but with the anniversary of Zeqing's passing falling into Turn 16 and the dearth of personal actions this turn, putting FSS+ off by one more turn looks like the best choice to me.

Finishing PLR, Hitting Grinning for b5 and Tree sounds like my first choice right now. That would set up both Nightmare tribulation and FSS+ for Turn 16.
 
Mmm, my feeling is that while technically we're not locked into Suyin's action... we kind of voluntarily locked ourselves into it when we chose to get her that gift.

Putting it off would be weird.
 
I'm partial to a layout like this. It lets us advance physical to the next stage with the spiritual and lets us keep up with the exp multiplier by having the successor art either started. Cause we then need to master it too.
I think professionally its also a good time to start tying off the knots related to sect.

The thing is there is always going to be a logical reason to put off a long term yet necessary project like FSS+. People say we can do it next turn or that we will do it next turn...and we don't for some reason because there's always something else. There's just never enough narrative space. Everyone always says 'next turn'. I've heard it before. At this point, I don't really believe it.

Genuinely wondering why "Phantoms, Presents, and Politics" is beating "Phantoms, Presents, and Pines". It's not any more political, they both have the exact same personal and professional actions. The only difference is Tree vs Wind Thief. That's literally it. Tree makes way more sense than Wind Thief rn since we were just at Xiangmen. Heck, there's even a chance Yrs will start that turn out while we're still at the Tree so as to make the action make more sense.

I completely agree. The excuse next turn will probably be that we should do the tribulation and shouldn't do it at the same time. There will always be some excuse.

Ok, hot take here: I really dislike Hostess Lessons: introducing Meizhen and Luo Zhong to what 'take over the group' does not fit to the idea of Wang Chao's friendly sparring group that doubles for helping him get his own clique among ES scions.
Meizhen is presumably leaving with us. and Luo Zhong has his own group already.
even if that wasnt true, I would much much rather see us 'promote' one of the friends like Nie Ai or Hou Min that have been part of the group for a long time. Introducing a new character into the group to take over feels really wrong to me.



the other three look really nice and im down for any combination of those.
maybe keep the Hou Zhuang's gift questline going?
i do think doing the sect thing is important since we want to send family to the sect in the future. also, while they like us less now, it is important to remember that the relation is still positive right now! there is no reason to throw that away

PLR is almost done, so wrapping it up would be good - and phantasmal mastery could potentially tie into our skely tutoring and storytelling?

Grinning could be done with surveying pretty well imo. As could LFWT - which would be good to upgrade given how important it is to us. Though my feeling is that if LFWT was tied into surveying odds are it would push us into getting into danger and having to run from things at some point :p

MoSS could also be solid at any point for surveying ofc. Community is currently locked, so xp there would be banked.

Continuing to follow up on Hou Zhong's gift could maybe be good just to keep things moving there??

I like that set up, but would switch the laughing wind with Primacy of Beasts. Since both Hostess Lessons and Hou Zhuang's Gift 2 of 3 deal with people I think meditating on the difference between people and beasts could be an interesting lens for either of those two projects. In my opinion the laughing wind doesn't really add anything to the rest of the list. I would prefer to leave the Laughing wind for the conclusion of the Long Arm of the Law., which I suspect won't be wrapped up in a nice single action.

Having both Phantasmal Mastery and Primacy of the Beasts leveling up at the same time would also work wonderfully with the combat focus our little group has and prep us for any combat we see going forward.

eh little spoiler-y, but though there may be smaller scale conflicts a big and proper war arc will probably not happen till after the summit, because that would make the already stretched narrative build up for it split at the seams

so like I mentioned earlier I prefer doing paying respects right now due to several reasons. I assume the ??? here is probably another action and I prefer to know what it is sooner. I don't think this is our goodbye action. Paying respects to an elder in advance especially when we have no idea where he would be depending on war actions is not a weird thing.
The last arc was a very strong narrative in moon cultivation and we would be meeting 3 moon cultivators in paying respects to action. I think it would be a good narrative flow. the long arm of mystery is already locked and it can also synergize with jiao's past and Xin's experiences. the gift from the auction and the fact we didn't have Suyin interaction in a while seal Little workshop. I think doing hostess lessons this turn and meeting meizhen personally in the next turn is a good idea since I am worried about the whole dangling plot thread of Luo Zheng. Xiangmen is obvious since we just got back from there. and doing soul of ice now leaves us primed to tackle FSS+ next turn(16) which is apparently the anniversary of Zequing's death which is happy confidence.
I am not sure how the math works out with this plan though

Grinning gives us the physical XP to reach G5 in both Spirit and Body next turn. + It advances Isolation for 1.
Phantasmal Mastery gets us a new Trait and buffs all our summons. + It advances Isolation for 1.
Since we double the Grinning one, we would get 3 Isolation XP and unlock Isolation IV. (need to get to Sixiangs Grandpa asap and get us our nice tribluation)

So we would get FFS+, Isolation IV, Mastery of PLR with the new Trait Yrs has hinted at over multiple updates now and S5 and B5 together (this is not so important since we are going to hit B5 next turn anyway)
