Suyin would be the one probably. If we are thinking about since they last had an full arc focused on them.... ages ago, has there actually been anything since we took her down into the underground. She has been in the background a bit, most recent during the whole Su Ling and removing the fox blood thing.

Mmm, in terms of who LQ would be most likely to think of getting a gift for in abstract I would say the answer is simply Suyin by a mile.
Following on though, I feel like LQ is most likely to notice music stuff, while I'm sceptical she'd notice a book without the special circumstances of e.g. sword being specifically related to Xuan Shi's favorite author that she knows about. Also sceptical she'd think of getting a gift for Xuan Shi like that.
The line for Bao Qian otoh makes sense - her noticing music stuff is plausible, and even if she doesn't really know the music scene she knows he's into it and it could give them something to talk about (and we know ooc that Bao Qian is going to be looking at another date sometime as well, so us at least giving things a shot for a change could be a decent character development)...

Regarding the vote, just in case people wanna know, we are at Isolation III (2/5), Expression III (1/5) and a brand new Creation I. Not sure about proccess in each one. Disclaimer: Isolation and Expression may be outdated.
Not sure about the choices neither from a mechanical or narrative standpoint. I want to improve all those concepts, and all three characters have been sidelined recently.
Kind of leaning toward Xuan Shi just for the chance of recruiting him for the fief (the Admirals would approve of that both for Ling Qi and Zhengui, and deepening their alliance with Cai).
Not wanna give him false hopes though.
On the other hand, we really should get an update from Bao Qian about Zhengui's business and Hanyi's concerts, and thank him for all he has done for us.

I quite like the Ling QI - Li Suyin dynamic where they try to give each other free stuff. Only for the one getting the gift to start aggressively negotiating for how much they can give in return. Like the time Suyin offered to do the wards in our house for free...until Ling Qi negotiated the price up.
We want to ask her for help with the breakthrough pill recipe, right? well, she would probably do it for free, but! this is the point where we have to stand our ground and force her to accept those notes as payment. The dynamic demands it!

Ling Qi is motivated by dislike of isolation. It is a framework she uses to describe weakness and an unhappy state of affairs. It is what motivates her to make friends.

This is a much more personalized gift! We missed out on Li Suyin's tirade after getting back from our fox adventure, AND Gan Guangli only showed up well after she'd left. GOSSIP. TIME. Also, she's probably staying with the sect when we leave so we won't see her as much.

I'd say this one is in danger of being as much of a guess as the XS gift, but at least we have the excuse of a much lower bond with Bao Qian than with either of the others. Given how low that bond still is despite the time we've spent, I am not afraid of getting "locked in" to a romance route with him. I would like to see them less painfully awkward around each other. The Expression concept is really core to LQ as well.
