I don't know about this name business but if it has to do with the impressions she gives... I admit that music is pretty predominant in our arts but it doesn't quite feel like a theme but more as a tie with the bonds and feeling she had for her mother figures. When I think of Ling Qi, the theme I get is a paradoxical one: When she feels helpless her fear makes her take actions that leave her isolated and lonely, she hates this so she is desperate to grow strong but she is reaching the point where she realizes that strength can be isolating too. So she can't stop because she is afraid that if she is not as strong as she can be she will regress to being 'selfish' and that her focus on surviving that situation will leave her alone but as she keeps moving forward she will suffer the same fate for a different reason as she overcompensates. A damned if you do and damned if you don't situation; the things she is terrified of losing due to weakness are in the end casted aside in pursue of strenght.
If this name thing is suposed to represent who she is... well, now that I think about it, this doesn't quite answer it either. This is more what her current conflict is. Still, for all that she has a lot of music and moon arts, they don't really encapsulate who Ling Qi is. One is more a medium to communicate her inner struggles and the other is what kind of situations and trials she has run into so far.
