The Power(Harry Potter/The Gamer)

@mrttao If these defenses are so powerful how does the monster of the year show up right on schedule every time? Other than JKR is a hack writer (which she is).

Sorry, bad day with no power. I'll turn my sarcasm filter off.

Pro tip: Check whom you're throwing strawman, and semantics arguments at when you start loosing an argument.[/sarcasm]

If you did, you'd note that I only shut down any, and all of your head canon by linking the same wikia you were using that stated, that there weren't any wards on the library, it was all spells on the books. (hexes, jinxes, and charms) And had you paid attention to your own link, it stated that the only wards on the school itself was property wide, not room to room. And you were arguing with Dr. Bob Doom, not me. And you were specifically baiting him to flame you, so yes you were flame baiting him. I can report you if you'd like... I'm just being considerate enough to give you the chance to stop before a mod has to be called in to thread ban you, again.

Aside from that you keep attacking others that use this funny thing called logic to debunk you, and back tracking yourself, with these so called strawman arguments of "it wasn't not specified so obviously I'm right, and you're wrong." Strawman fallacy if I've ever read one. And then just so you'd insult yourself, on top of injuring your own arguments, you try to get in a "parting shot" about loosing an argument, when you were the one that was loosing. I was advising Dr. Bob Doom, to let it go, and not rise to obvious flame bait.

If aiming a spell from a stick which we will be swishing around is hard why not just tackle the rat?

Harry can jump on him and use his school robe to wrap him up.

And I'm back. Sorry about that. PSU crapped out on me, so ordered one with my phone and had to wait for it to arrive.

To make up for it I'm going to start a new quest, completely unrelated to this one, running along side this, along with giving you a free pass on the rolls. Thinking it's going to be either pure Spider-Man, or Spider-man/Worm. I'll figure out which while I'm writing the post for it.

Anyway! Tally followed by update.

[X] Seal the damn room; then we have two rather hulking 11 year olds plus a Malfoy in front of a sealed door and can get the rat at our leisure? (Also doors are much easier to HIT than running rats).

-[X] Once the room is sealed, don't wait. Immediately attempt to stun the rat while its disoriented. If Ron objects, warn him that his rat is not his real pet but an imposter and an evil shapeshifter rat wizard assassin! (since everyone knows normal rats can't be evil).
--[X] If evil shapeshiter rat wizard assasin is stunned, immediately force him to his human form and check his stats and name with mage sight. Then petrify him, bind him with conjured ropes and send someone to get help from prefects/adults while we stand guard over the evil shapeshifter (previously rat now human) wizard assassin!

Rodent Roundup
Your wand is already in hand from casting the spell to detect evil, your reflexes are honed and on-edge from Mad-Eye's training these past few weeks, and you were expecting something with the title 'Traitorous Rat Animagus' to run anyway. So even as the rat starts to move you are as well, your wand whipping up to point at the door, causing the three in front of it to scatter, possibly thinking you're about to attack. Instead your wand moves in a quick pattern and you speak the words for the sealing spell.

The door slams shut just before the rodent reaches it, almost causing it to slam headfirst into the door. Before it, or anyone in the room, has a chance to react to that you move your wand in another pattern, calling out "Stupefy!"

As the red light flows from your wand, before you see it strike, you're already casting another spell. This one is riskier. In lightning quick thoughts your mind recalls that it's one you picked up from one of those Lockheart books. And since in the same book he claims to have put a werewolf in a headlock you aren't sure you can trust them. The author is either an amazingly skilled person beyond compare, or a fool to get so close to a transformed werewolf.

"Homorphus!"

The rat is struck by two beams of light, the first one, red, renders it unconscious, and the second, white, causes it's form to twist and change in a process that doesn't look particularly pleasant.

When the change is done it reveals a short man, not that much taller than any of you if your judging of his height while he's lying down is to be trusted. His skin and clothes both are rather grubby, and he possesses a pointed nose, and balding brown hair. Above his head are the words:

[Peter Pettigrew, Cowardly Death Eater, lvl ??]

The other children in the compartment seem to be rather shocked, though none worse than Ron who looks rather green at the sight of the man.

Absently you raise your wand twice more, once to hit Pettigrew with both a leg-locker curse and to summon wands from him, which doesn't turn up anything. Then you unseal the room and move to sit down, staring at the man.

"That is Peter Pettigrew. And unless I miss my guess, he's a Death Eater."

This causes both Ron and Draco to exclaim, "But he's a hero!" Then they set about glaring at each other. Susan, on the other hand, moves as she speaks, "We think he is. But if he were, why was he a rat?" Then she's shoving up the sleeve on the man's left arm, showing a vivid red tattoo there. "And that's a Dark Mark. He is a Death Eater." Mentally you thank Madam Bones for imparting an investigative mind on her niece.

While everyone is distracted you view and dismiss windows that popped up just after the scuffle.

[Class quest completed! New quest unlocked!]
-Complete immunity to diseases.

[Hidden Quest Unlocked: White Sheep of the Blacks]
-Ensure Peter Pettigrew is officially questioned
-???
-Completion Reward: 250xp, ???
-Failure Reward: 25XP, ???

After a few minutes for you all to process everything that just happened, you speak again, "Well... I think we should..."
